Tribunal: INEC opposes documents tendered by Obi, says counsel

The Independent National Electoral Commission has explained why it is objecting to documents tendered by the Labour Party and its candidate, Peter Obi, in aid of his petition against the election of President Bola Tinubu. The electoral body had since the start of the hearing opposed the admissibility of various documents brought to the Presidential Election Petition Court by the petitioners as exhibits to prove their case and held, like other respondents, that reasons would be advanced during the address stage of the petition. However, during Friday’s proceedings, counsel for INEC, Kemi Pinhero, SAN, told the court that the electoral body objected to the tendering of the election result sheets because the petitioners went beyond the areas where the election was being disputed. He said those local government areas improperly brought into the proceedings of the court are strange to the petition and cannot stand in the face of the law. Interjecting, the chairman of the five-man panel, Justice Harunna Tsammani, held that it was unacceptable for the lawyer to give reasons for their objection after the commission had indicated that it would advance reasons at the address stage of proceedings. Subsequently, Peter Afoba, SAN, who conducted the proceedings for Obi and LP tendered before the PEPC, additional exhibits to back up their petition against Tinubu which were admitted and marked as Exhibits PB 16 to PB 21. The exhibits, which were admitted in evidence by the Justice Haruna Tsammani-led panel, consisted of certified true copies of results of the presidential election from six states of the federation – Adamawa, Bayelsa, Oyo, Edo, Lagos and Akwa Ibom states. Although Obi won the presidential election in Lagos State, he alleged in his petition that there was massive suppression of votes in the state. Earlier on Thursday, he had tendered the results of the election from select local government areas in Rivers, Niger, Benue, Cross River, Osun, and Ekiti but did not tender that of Bida LGA in Niger. As in the case of INEC, other respondents objected to the admissibility of the document and said they would equally reserve their reasons for objecting until the final address stage of the petition. The court thereafter admitted results from 21 LGAs in Adamawa State and marked them as Exhibits PH 1 to PH 21. It also admitted the results of the presidential election from eight LGAs in Bayelsa State and marked them as Exhibits PJ1 to PJ 8. Results from 31 LGAs in Oyo that the court admitted as exhibits were marked PK 1 – PK 31, while results from 18 LGAs in Edo State were marked as Exhibits PL1- PL 18. Further tendered were results from 20 LGAs in Lagos State, which were admitted as Exhibits PM 1 – PM 20, and results from 31 LGAs in Akwa Ibom State, accepted in evidence as Exhibits PN 1–PN 31. Intel Core i9-10850K 10 Core Unlocked Desktop CPU Listed Online For Around $450 US, Up To 5.2 GHz Clocks

Intel will soon be adding a new CPU to its 10th Gen Desktop Family known as the Core i9-10850K. The CPU was first spotted earlier this month within a leaked entry but it has now been listed over Digital Storm's official webpage, confirming that the chip is headed to retail soon.

Intel's 10 Core, Core i9-10850K CPU Might Explain Why The Core i9-10900K Has A Global Shortage

In our previous post, the specifications we had listed came from a leak within the Geekbench data-base. The latest leak comes from Digital Storm (via Momomo_US) where the chip can now be found listed under the system configurator webpage which not only mentions the chip but also confirms the specifications and expected pricing of the Core i9-10850K CPU itself.

Intel Core i9-10850K CPU Specifications

It looks like the specifications reported earlier were correct and the Core i9-10850K will indeed be configured similar to the Core i9-10900K except featuring a 100 MHz lower clock speed for both base and boost frequencies.

Summing up the specs, the Intel Core i9-10850K CPU will feature 10 cores and 20 threads. The final clock speeds for the chip will be configured at 3.60 GHz base (3.7 GHz on the Core i9-10900K) & 5.2 GHz boost (5.3 GHz on the Core i9-10900K). The CPU retains 20 MB of L3 & a total of 2.5 MB L2 cache. There's no TDP mentioned for this specific part but considering that the rest of the unlocked chips come with a 125W (PL1) profile, we can expect the same from the Core i9-10850K.

In addition to the specs, the configurator also provides the expected pricing of the Core i9-10850K. When configured with the Core i7-10700K, the Core i9-10850K configuration will be $73 US more expensive. Considering that OEMs buy the chip in bulk and get slightly lower prices than what the retail MSRPs are set at, the Core i9-10850K would end up around $450 US which is $100 US than the official MSRP listing of the Core i9-10900K which retails for $549 US.

At the same time, we aren't sure whether the Core i9-10850K will be exclusive to the OEM channel or will hit retail shelves but the chip might explain the shortages behind the Core i9-10900K. The i9 10900K is the highest binned chip in the 10th Gen family, supporting clocks of up to 5.3 GHz on 10 cores. The CPU is also widely unavailable and short at major retail outlets. Regardless of how much mature the 14nm process is by now, a chip like Core i9-10900K is hard to produce and the shortage might be an issue with yields of the Core i9-10900K SKU. This might've led Intel to offer the Core i9-10850K with a slightly lower bin at a reduced price point.

Even at the time of writing this post, the i9-10900K is not available on Digital Storm with expected availability suggested around October of this year. The Core i9-10850K with just a 100 MHz down clock will offer more or less the same amount of performance, making it a better 10 core gaming chip than the Core i9-10900K in price to performance ratio.

The Core i9-10850K will still have to compete against AMD's Ryzen 9 3900X which doesn't face any availability issues and has a retail price under to $400 US while offering more cores, threads, and better multi-threading performance. We already saw how the chip performs against the Ryzen 9 3900X and the Core i9-10900K in the previous post but we will keep you posted if we get to see more benchmarks.

Como es tradición, Acer nos muestra parte de sus novedades en el IFA 2019, donde las marcas tienen una buena oportunidad para mostrar sus productos!

ChromeBooks

La renovación de esta serie de portátiles que vienen a ser ordenadores portátiles de escala de entrada con los que realizar tareas básicas acompañado de Chrome OS, el sistema activo del cíclope Google, con almohadilla Linux.

Encontramos cuatro modelos con precios que oscilan entre los 230€ y los 330€, y que cuentan con puertos USB tipo C y 3.0, poco importante, aunque con espacio poco más prohibido, hasta 128 GB.

Monitores Acer XV3 de altas prestaciones

Aquí verás dos tamaños, el primero de 24.5″ con dos modelos , uno con 144 Hz y un segundo de 240 Hz, los dos Full HD, y otro de 27″ con 165 Hz Full HD y 240 Hz WQHD, todos con la tecnología Gsync de Nvidia.

Estos tienen unos precios que oscilan entre los 329€ y los 649€, y cuentan con paneles IPS encima de un tiempo de respuesta entre 5 ms y G2G 1 ms, destacando que los modelos de 240 Hz tendrán DisplayHDR 400.

Acer ConceptD con Nvidia Quadro

Seguramente uno de los apartados más interesantes de los lanzamientos de la marca son los ConceptD, varios modelos con gráficas Nvidia Quadro para diseñar, excepto en sus modelos de escala desestimación donde encontrarás la GTX 1650 y RTX 2060, anejo procesadores Intel de novena engendramiento.

Vemos varios modelos, empezando por la escala de entrada con los modelos ConceptD 3 y 3 Pro con precios entre los 1199€ y 1499€, los ConceptD 5 entre los 1999€ y los 2599€, encima del ConceptD 7 por 2599€, o el tope de escala ConceptD 9 por 5499€ con pantalla 4k y una Nvidia Quadro RTX 5000.

Renovación en la escala Predator

Por un costado, la nueva arnés Predator Thronos Air, la cual ofrece una gran inmersión, aunque no aun precio apto para todos lo públicos, 14000€, y que consiste en una cabina ajustable con varios ángulos tanto adentro como fuera.

Además presentaron los modelos Acer Predator Triton 300 y 500, con un precio de salida de 1299€ para el menos y 2699€ para el segundo.

Uno y otro modelos cuentan con procesadores i7 de novena engendramiento, y como características principales, destacamos en el último una GTX 1650, 16 GB de RAM y 144 Hz de tasa de refresco, mientras que el Acer Predator Triton 500 desconocemos el maniquí de gráfica que montará, pero si que traerá la friolera tasa de refresco de 300 Hz.

Nuevos Swift y monitores all-in-one

Los modelos Acer Swift 3 y 5 se renuevan con los procesadores de décima engendramiento Intel, y gráficas MX250 de Nvidia, sin perder su principal característica, el peso,, encima incluirá SSD de hasta 512 GB PCIe Gen 3×4, conector USB tipo C Thunderbolt… entre otras!

Además destacamos modelos all-in-one con tres variedades según el tamaño del educador, 21.5″, 23.8″ y 27″, y precios entre 599€ y 799€, todavía con procesadores Intel de décima engendramiento, gráfica MX130 de Nvidia y capacidad para SSD NVMe M.2.

Proyectores LED portátiles

Encontrarás dos modelos principales, el Acer C250i habitable a partir de Enero por 539€, y el Acer PL1520i a partir de Noviembre por 1499€.

El Acer C250i cuenta con una resolución Full HD con un diseño cilíndrico proporcionado elegante y con el que podrás proyectar contenido con un smartphone fácilmente, encima no necesita tiempo de precalentamiento y cuenta con una escuadra de hasta 5 horas de duración.

Mientras que el Acer PL1 con certificado IP6X, te garantiza una duración de 24 horas, es de tipo láser de 4000 lúmenes, encima admite proyección de 360 grados y modo autorretrato, así como ajuste de imagen keystone de 4 esquinas.
