“It’s nice that there’s this unlikely soft spot in Mr. Finch’s life. At the same time, it’s also hard work. We have a brilliant dog. The dog that plays Bear is a national champion obedience dog and he’s going to the world championships this spring, and will likely win there. He’s highly trained, highly motivated and has a lot of energy, but he doesn’t know acting from acting, he just knows commands.It takes time to get him to hit the right mark, to hit the mark and to be looking in the right direction, that kind of thing. There’s a lot of trickery with the placement of treats, and wherever you want the dog to look, that must be where the trainer is standing because he pays attention to the trainer at all times. There are certain logistical challenges to it, so those scenes are great, but they take time to shoot.”

Mark Watches PoI

Mark Watches is a project in which Mark Oshiro watches shows entirely and utterly unspoiled. His watch of PoI starts tomorrow! (I was gonna give y'all a longer heads up, but I thought there was going to be another show before then, and so that we had a few more weeks) I participated in his Leverage watch, and it was oodles of fun. In addition, Mark records live video reactions! You can watch them for just $1.00 per episode, and as someone who bought every single Leverage video, I can say they're well worth it. Mark is a very expressive and entertaining person, both in writing and in his watching. But those videos also need to be commissioned in the first place, and there are still a few episodes not yet claimed! 3x4 Reasonable Doubt, aka They Shoot Each Other On A Yacht (but this is also where Laskey gets revealed as HR!) 4x3 Wingman, aka wtf this ep not being commissioned is injustice against Fusco, we NEED to see Mark's reaction to Harold Crane and Segel's take-that against Fresley nonsense 4x6 Pretenders, aka Walter Deng marvels at Reese's Batman Voice, and Finch seduces Elizabeth Bridges, and we NEED to see Mark's reaction to Harold getting Bear to eat 4x16 Blunt, aka Harper's debut! 4x17 Karma, aka we NEED to see Mark's reaction to Harold trying to kill Alicia 4x18 Skip, aka yeah I know I know, but Harper/Frankie, and Mark will be completely unspoiled to the pure acting awesome of Amy and Michael will destroy him and it will be amazing to watch 4x19 Search and Destroy, aka look, we NEED to see Mark's reaction to chinese takeout and Zoe's last appearance on the show and "Shotgun" 5x5 Shotseeker, aka...ehhhh okay not much reason to go the distance for this except maybe Root definitively showing that John is one of Her Peoples now? But even so, commissions are only $25.00 each, and as Mark does this for a living, every dollar helps! But regardless of if you commission or buy a video, just come and have fun reading Mark's COMPLETELY UNSPOILED write-ups, and celebrate the show with the rest of us in the comments!
