well it has next to no fandom!! and i think that is a crime!! i am currently playing kath in a regional production and have grown to love this show with my whole heart and i think it deserves the proper fandom treatment!! i want to call this #PROJECTCASEYSTREET !! and i want to invite all of you along with me on this ride! give ‘our house’ (and by extent madness) a proper fandom!!

i have made a sideblog @projectcaseystreet to host an ‘our house’ week of fanworks in the summer!

in the mean time, POST FANWORKS!! make fanart, write fanfiction, make edits, make shitposts!! tag it with #ourhousemadnessmusical and #projectcaseystreet !! this musical deserves so much love!

it has a fantastic soundtrack and the songs blend so well into the show unlike other jukebox musicals (*cough* & juliet *cough)

it has an extremely creative original story

it’s just old enough to be considered vaguely retro

it’s symbol motif is a heart! which is so cutesy!

it’s SO NICHE!! you will be the least basic person in the world if you join this fandom

it hits EVERY SINGLE family/found family emotional beat you would want any popular piece of media to!!

it has a WONDERFUL capacity for shipping (joe/sarah, joe/reecey, emmo/lewis, sarah/billie, sarah/angie, e.t.c) LMAO

it ends up happily but has enough heart wrenching moments to UTTERLY tweak out about

LEWIS (OUR HOUSE) HEADCANONS

❤︎ very close with kath, she obviously took both him and emmo in - but i think with lewis it was more of a situation that his home regularly became dangerous, and kath had lewis live at 25 casey street for months at a time whilst things calmed down with his family

❤︎ i know this one directly goes against the script but in my mind he’s short as FUCK like literally 5 foot nothing

❤︎ wanted to be a land use lawyer (may become one in the definitive timeline)

❤︎ gay! (this is implied in various productions but it’s canon to me) him and emmo (who are NOT related! common misconception) are hashtag literally in love

❤︎ very self-conscious and worries what people think of him, but when he’s with the caseys & co. most of that disappears

❤︎ last name either ritter or mitchell (idk why just vibes)

❤︎ BIG fan of takeaway food (you could get him an indian takeaway breakfast lunch and dinner everyday for a week and he wouldn’t find anything amiss)

EMMO (OUR HOUSE) HEADCANONS

❤︎ he's the youngest of seven siblings (which is one of the reasons he's always at 25 casey street - his house was so hectic & his parents worked all day so they just tended to... forget about him)

❤︎ has adhd! was always put in the corner at school & rapped over the hand for not being able to sit still/calling out in class

❤︎ amazing singer, and just walks around the house belting at the top of his lungs constantly

❤︎ taller than lewis, but still vaguely short

❤︎ people tend to be scared of him when they first meet him as he just has that general sort of roadman-y aura - but as soon as he opens his mouth, that usually goes away

❤︎ incredibly forgetful

❤︎ always pretends to be hating on kath (e.g. giving her the finger when she ruffles his hair or pretending to be bored when she goes on about casey street) but obviously loves & values her attentiveness (that he rarely got from his own parents)

❤︎ intentional & unintentional classs clown - he is naturally very funny but he perceives his values to only lie in comedy, so he spends all his time trying to get people to laugh

❤︎ very 'adoptable', like he was genuinely beloved by/semi-famous to all of the older kids when he was at junior school

❤︎ has a new girlfriend every week, and joe, lewis, & kath can never keep up
