Hello, and welcome to this space where I share my family’s journey—one filled with challenges, perseverance, and hope.

I’m a parent navigating the complex realities of my son’s medical needs and the struggles with healthcare and the child protective services (CPS) system in the U.S. Our story isn’t always easy to tell, but it’s one I feel compelled to share.

Tomorrow!! Join us for a well deserved adult time chat via art! It will be a Friday night out but in 🤪🙃😆. . Tag someone you love letting loose with! Last adult zoom session we had parents from Chicago, SoCal and NorCal. 🌠. . So, Idk about you but, I’m in the end of week six of SIP and it’s admittedly been a rough one. It was our first week doing afternoon classes, my own 3 kids are feeling burnt out, emotionally drained, my work load is heavy ... BUT my art each day is most likely one of the few things keeping me sane!!! 😌I’m so grateful to be able to tap into my creativity and use it as an outlet, escape, calming therapy, or a simple feel good moment!!! We all could use that now and again. Join me in letting loose, no technical skills needed, any materials will do. . . We are going to have fun and play with colors and shapes! Do you often think to yourself surely there is something more to life than laundry, cooking & cleaning? Before you sell your child

Sometimes, parenting is stressful. Sometimes, you’re tempted to sell that precious little thing you created on eBay (not that we would ever seriously consider it). Often times it’s frowned upon to talk like that. It offends people. But we’ve all felt it. And if you haven’t, I’d love to know what your secret is. In those moments, it’s important to take space for yourself. Teach the little one it’s okay to need a minute alone to get yourself together, rather than blow up. Take a minute to just breathe. Being a single mother of a 4 year old, I have to do this myself sometimes. I asked my son’s father (my ex) if he was really attached to our son because I was tempted to put him up for sale. My expression of frustration was met with condescending disgust. Clearly, he could /never/ have felt such a way. How /dare I/ say such a thing, whether it was a joke or not. Weellllll.... thanks for hitting that shame button.  But, if you’ve felt this way, you are not alone. We get frustrated with our kids. It happens. It’s okay to have feelings. Just learn how to manage them appropriately. It’s a process, but it will be worth it for both/all of you.
