I don't mind the casting of joe and pedro, i mean that makes sense to cast some popular actors in your movies. And I bet pascal will be great as Reed. Honestly I'm happy with the whole casting choice. Way better choice than that bad 2015 fantastic four movie
Dude, the cast of the 2015 version was the least of the problems...

Preview for next chapter of "The Forest from the Trees."
I will try to post the third chapter this one tonight. Tomorrow at the latest. The writing got longer and also, I have been writing manually.
The two men arrived to the trading post, and Selleck checked the board, where he discovered a piece of paper tuck behind the board. He started reading when he heard Silva's voice saying: "What's that?" "Looks like leads," Selleck replied.
Silva stood besides Selleck to take a glance at the paper. "Yes, it does look like leads. Tell you what. You check the leads, and I'll check the surroundings inside." Selleck nodded and continued to glance te paper while Silva entered the post looking at all sides.
The owner of the post called his attention: "Sir, your guns, please." As he walked towards the counter, Silva gave a glance at the entrance, where he noticed Selleck waiting. Silva nodded at Selleck before putting his gun in the counter.

I'm not sure if this is old news by now, but I genuinely think the massive influx of Joseph Quinn hate is because he's actually nice to queer and or neurodivergent people. That's the exact opposite of what K-pop twitter and snark reddit stand for. Don't be surprised when they turn on Pedro too.
It’s okay to talk about it now, dear. And yes, I have already noticed that much of the attacks that both Joseph and Peter receive, is directed to the fact that the two defend queer rights. Nothing new under the sun, unfortunately :(

The Forest from the Trees Chapter 3: Know thy Enemy, Know Thy Friend.
Synopsis: After years of quiet living, repressed truths, frustrated longings and broken hearts, two lone wolf gunslingers, Silas Selleck and Saul Silva, get united for a mission, only to realize that the mission will give them more than they were bargaining for, including a second chance to heal their hearts and live their truths… A/N: Guns, Middle Aged Cowboys, Characters mentioned by their last names, slow-burning romance, violence, smoking (Especially Silas Selleck), queerness, slight mentions of the original source where characters come from, total canon divergence, crossover fanfiction
Pairing: Silas Selleck/ Silva (Called Saul Silva for the purposes of the fic). To catch Up: Chapter 1 Chapter 2
Chapter 3: Know Thy Enemy, Know Thy Friend
The two gunslingers arrived to the post and accommodated the horses. Selleck noticed a paper behind the board and discretely picked it up. Silva walked by his side and asked: “Another bounty?” “Looks like leads for a gang. Found it in the space behind the board.” Selleck showed the paper to Silva, who nodded in agreement. “Tell you what, you check the leads, and I’ll check the surroundings. We’ll discuss ‘em once I know the path is clear.” Selleck nodded and Silva stepped in.
As Silva looked at all sides, a man who appeared to be the owner of the shop asked him to leave his gun at the counter, which he did while looking at the door and nodding at Selleck. “Your friend too!” The man commanded as Selleck entered. Selleck obliged after another nod from Silva. “Me and my friend, we’re eating here. Have anything edible?” Silva asked as Selleck sat in one of the tables nearby.
“It’s your lucky day today. Some beef donated by some ranchers.” “Good.” Silva took a small bag of money out. “Here’s the payment. We’re taking some provisions later. Should be enough to cover for that.” The man counted. “This is more than enough. Some whiskey?” “No thank you.” Silva shook his head and looked at Selleck who did the same. Then Silva sat beside Selleck, who had the paper often. “Amazing how them gangs have grown sophisticated in their communication.” Silva observed. “Not enough for me to figure out what their plan appears to be, though.” “Dealt with them recently?” Selleck lit his cigarette and looked at his fellow gunman. “Well, had yet to deal with a proper gang since I returned to the trade. I kept operating in New Mejico, but nowhere near where my former ranch is.”
“What made you c’mere?”
“Honestly, there are better hires and better rewards ‘round here… Among other things.” Silva sighed with melancholy but then looked at the lead. “This here looks like a badly drawn train.”
“Yeah,” Selleck replied. “There’s a town a few miles from here. Coal miners and lumberjacks live there, so their railway is known.”
“Glad to know you know your ways around here.” “This has been my area of operation both in my first time at the trade and now. I can assure you not much has changed.” Selleck then pointed at another drawing that had the shape of the sculpture he and Silva were tasked with by Lord Northup. “Shhhhit. We’ve got competition.” Selleck frowned. “Shouldn’t surprise us.”
“Not at all.” Selleck replied as he and Silva got served the food.
As both gunslingers continued to comment on the lead and speculate on what the gang's strategy may be, a man dressed all in black entered the post. Selleck and Silva quietly observed the man as he purchased some provisions for himself. The man appeared to notice the pairs of brown and blue eyes looking at him, as he looked at the men at the table and saluted both of them with a nod and a grab of the rim before he left. Neither Selleck nor Silva moved, even when a woman who undoubtedly worked assisting the post served some water to the men, which both thanked her for. “Don’t like that man at all.” Silva finally broke the silence before putting the fork with meal in his mouth. “Think he’s part of the gang in question?” Selleck asked. “He didn’t look at the paper you’re holding. Besides, he didn’t pick much, so you can tell he travels light. If he’s with the gang, I must say he’s grown clever, but I don’t trust cleverness of people who are our age when it comes to that.” “Thought the same. But also, that we need to keep an eye on him. I have a feeling that this is not the last time we’ll see him.” Selleck drank his water while looking at the door. “You can say that again, Selleck.”
That afternoon, after carefully planning the route and time they will take to approach the town in the hope they would do it before the gang, Silva and Selleck decided to stop for a while to give the horses some rest. They stood in silence, which Selleck took advantage of to lighten another cigar. As usual, Silva broke it. “You know, earlier at the trading post I was talking about our age, and I forgot to ask how old you are actually.” “Why do you want to know?” Selleck asked with irritation.
“Can’t I be curious about it?”
Selleck got smoke out of his mouth. “I’m fourty.” “You were born two years after me. And at the rate you’re putting those cigarettes in your mouth, you’ll die before I do.”
“No need to concern over me.” Selleck replied defensively. “I wasn’t. I was just making an observation.” “It’s not like you haven’t asked me for three cigarettes already for yourself.” Selleck narrowed his eyes at Silva.
“Yes,” Silva smirked back, “but the difference between you and me, is that there’s a length of time between the cigarettes I smoke. Meanwhile, the only times I’ve seen you without a cigarette have been when we met at Lord Northup’s mansion, and when you were having mouth in your food instead. “ “I live for the day, Silva." Selleck looked at his companion. "I have no use for tomorrow.” “You sure have enough use to hunt for bounties.” “Yeah, that’s part of me survival.”
Selleck thought there was something about his bounty-hunting partner. While he did find Silva annoying at that time, he didn’t find him annoying enough to want to ditch his company. In fact, most of the time he found the company of the Mexican gunslinger oddly soothing. Silas used to find most people annoying and that didn’t change in the days he had as a farmer, when he had a family. He did enjoy the company of Rose and his adopted children and there was some melancholy when he decided to let them go and go his own way. But he also had taken comfort that it was for the best. As they saw the golden hour coming, Selleck and Silva decided to find a way to camp. They kept the conversation impersonal that night, focusing only on their plan to reach the town by the following day in the afternoon. Then, the two gunslingers went to sleep, each at one side of their campfire.
