No, no, this isn't an AI-generated image! It's a 220 million-year-old petrified log located in Petrified Forest National Park, Arizona, USA. This park is famous for its vast petrified wood deposits. Petrified wood forms when minerals replace the wood fibers over millions of years, resulting in fossilized wood that can be as hard and colorful as gemstones. The log in the picture is entirely replaced by quartz crystals, making it sparkle in the close-up view. This log, dating back to the Late Triassic Period, about 225 to 207 million years ago, serves as a fascinating reminder of the ancient forests that once covered this area.

Gem AU doodle page, featuring the Chaotix! Figured i'd do a doodle page for once and actually post it.
Mostly their pasts and just previous interactions they've had. Including previous looks, whether on homeworld or their first reformation looks.

he is actually a lot duller in this image because my lasts posts with him were screenshots and my iPad really likes adding saturation to my screenshots </3
anyways the kid the boy the child the goober. His reference post. I love this lil man
any fading between colors is me taking a brush at 75% opacity and layering it
Little lore tidbits ! he lives in a relatively large tree, usually he sleeps at the top but on colder days/nights he sleeps in a spot he dug out under the tree.
He chirps in response when talked to, or to get attention from his parent figures. Him responding with a chirp does not mean that he understands what you said to him. He much enjoys listening to other birds chirp though.
He freezes up when he feels an immense amount of fear and can take some time to come back from that. He is less likely to react like that if he can hide behind wind archer or fire spirit. He is really really skittish without them.
he loves jellyberries an almost unreasonable amount, he also likes other berries.
he is fire proof, given that he is stone.
sometimes I call him petri simply because his name is kinda long
