what gets me about the whole "piracy is always wrong bc you're stealing from indie artists, even if you're broke or from a country with an unfavourable exchange rate" thing is like. that's literally corporate shareholder nonsense talk. this person was not going to buy your book anyway. they don't even have the money to give you. you're getting mad about hypothetical revenue that was never going to happen in reality. this is what execs do when they complain that profits are lower than projected, then call that lower-than-expected money a """loss""". now that doesn't mean the indie artist is the exact same thing as a corporate executive, but it does reflect certain material relationships i think. small businesses are not exempt from capitalist logic and all that. like if someone was reselling your work i'd be more understanding, but "some guy in chile is reading my book without giving me three weeks' wages in return" is not exactly a moral high horse.

PROSCIUTTO friendship ranking. Because why not?
Pesci. Usually this would be self explanatory but like. Pesci is like the one person on the team who actually respects him as a leader and who values his time. They do hang out together.
Risotto. Old bonds die hard. I KNOW they had the craziest breakup ever back in 98. They’re still good friends, even if neither of them act that affectionate to the other. Only other person Prosciutto feels “really gets him” on the team.
Melone. Definitely more on Melone’s side. He’ll try to strike up a conversation about whatever article he read recently about flies or dna or how the sun moves and Prosciutto says “uh-huh” while desperately wishing his cig was longer. They’ve tried hanging out once. Both wanna do it again
Sorbet. He’s more on Pro’s wavelength when it comes to missions. They were partners before Pesci came along, and they’re damn good at it. They don’t talk much outside of work though.
Gelato. Opposite issue. They talk a lot outside of work but Prosciutto just cannot wrap his head around Gelato. He’s the one man who’s never backed down from challenging him.
Ghiaccio. They just don’t talk. It’s nothing personal, Ghiaccio just dicks around a little too much for his liking.
Illuso. Dear god he hates him and his stupid stand. He HATES getting spied on and jabbed at for shit he did in private.
Formaggio. This lazy ass who doesn’t give a shit about fuck who keeps winning their soccer bets who hardly does his own work makes him so pissed. The worst part is Formaggio doesn’t even care that much about what he thinks which drives him mad
aaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAGH i really love this one, i cant even add my own because its so close to his character, the only difference is that i really love the idea of Gelato being one of the Squadras first babysitters, hes got the "best judgement" of them and it makes my heart tight to think of Prosciutto adoring him as a mentor or even a,,,, fratello,,,

I have a LOT of feelings about kaisers backstory. Mostly positive? My opinions on his character have only really gotten better tbh. Like, he's not a good person. But he is definitely a product of his environment.
I think he does care about Ness in his own twisted way. But he doesn't know how to recognize positive emotions. He doesn't know how to form lasting relationships without manipulation and insults.
Kaiser never got therapy, or even really a trustworthy adult (that we know of yet) to sit him down and try to break through the shell he formed after all those years. It's all he knows, it's all he has to work with. He has no frame of reference for friendship and love. New emotions and feelings are scary, they feel wrong sometimes. So he sticks to what he knows and does it the best he can.
The only thing that's changed is we know WHY Kaiser is how he is. I don't have it in me to hate him now that it's confirmed he's incredibly mentally ill due to his fucking awful and unstable formative years. He's a bad person, but he hasn't always been. But he's not beyond hope or help, like anyone is.
Not supporting anything he's done, just appreciating a well written character. Seeing bits of my broken past mirrored on a fucking rat tail anime man has been an experience.

what's pissing me off most about the election is how many people who have similar opinions are absolutely tearing into each other in search of someone to "blame" for the trump win. It doesn't matter what we could've done differently because at the end of the day it's done. blaming each other and turning on each other is only gonna help the white supremacists who want to run this country. so instead we need to focus on creating community so that we have a network of resistance and care built into our lives. tear into trump supporters all you want but if you are anti trump, if you were discontent with both options, if you were/are whatever, focus on people who share the same ideas as you and how you can build each other up and make your community stronger. that is where revolution begins. not yelling about ballots that have already been cast.

Companies using """"""""AI"""""""" chatbots in place of customer service (usually with a veneer of pretending you are actually speaking to a real person, which might not be so immediately obvious to more tech illiterate people) pisses me off so bad because they are just SO fundamentally useless. The only information it can tell you is information more efficiently communicated with a FAQ page, and information that is Wrong because current chatbot technology is, in fact, not even slightly 'intelligent' and pretty damn bad at giving accurate answers to anything but the simplest questions.
Like there's no point to it besides hoping onto the flashy artificial 'intelligence' gimmick and paying for less customer service work hours, and so many companies will not only have this feature but make their actual customer service prohibitively difficult to find (and usually involving a labyrinth of automated phone menu systems that you have to navigate correctly in order to get to a person). Makes me want to kill.

Another galaxy design! Once again, made on canvas with acrylic paints. I scanned it and digitally enhanced it--and added the vintage filter on the second design.
Which do you like more, the green one or the purple?
Right now Redbubble is having a big sitewide sale! Up to 50% off on some products, too! Get in on this while it's running, I personally have never seen them go higher than that.
Not interested in this design? Check out my shop and see if any of my other things suit your fancy!

being sick as an adult sucks. wdym my mom won’t just automatically make sure I eat food instead of exclusively drinking Gatorade all day. wdym I have to ask my roommates to make me dinner. I have to Venmo a friend money to buy me more Gatorade?? I can’t focus enough to do homework??? I hate this.
#this is a silly haha humor post but in all seriousness.#COVID rly is just making me stare all the internalized ableism in the eye#yes worth isnt defined by productivity and disability and the idea of being a burden is part of being human and isn’t shameful at all#until I have to minorly inconvenience people to meet my basic needs#I really want to eat dinner but that would require asking my roommates to make me dinner which is just. 5 kinda of mortifying.#even though if someone I knew was sick I would not be upset about making them food! sick people need to eat!#my parents ordered me chipotle yesterday bc they were so concerned bc of how I sounded over the phone#and my friend went out and bought me juice and Gatorade and popsicles and took me to the doctor#the support system Exists I just feel bad about having to use it T-T#I just want to be hugged and read to and reminded to eat food but I am an adult now and not at home#lonely TT-TT#it’ll be okay I’m probably just emotional bc I’m sick and hungry#I also just am struggling so hard because I want to catch up on my classwork Right Now#but I can get through maybe one assignment before I’m too exhausted to keep sitting up#and I have to lay down and close my eyes and sleep or do a light activity like playing candy crush for the fifty bazillionth time#I’ve gotten through like. 100 levels this week.#I’m losing my dang marbles. I am gonna be so behind in ASL Susan is gonna be so disappointed in me#I feel like I have all this energy when I’m laying down bored but as soon as I sit up I feel like I’m floating and about to fall over#so. so tired. why can’t I be healthy already and do homework T-T.#I’m choosing to take this as a lesson to slow down and not overwork myself so hard. instead of being mad at myself for getting behind.#<- is trying and failing not to be mad at herself for getting behind

How Automated Phone Conversations Are Revolutionizing Customer Support
Tumblr media
Introduction
In an age where customer expectations are rising and businesses are striving for efficiency, automated phone conversations have emerged as a game-changing solution. Leveraging artificial intelligence (AI), businesses can now provide seamless, round-the-clock customer service that is efficient, consistent, and scalable. This article explores how automated phone conversations are revolutionizing customer support, the benefits they bring, and how companies can successfully implement this technology.
The Evolution of Customer Support
Traditional customer support has relied heavily on human agents managing phone lines, responding to emails, and handling support tickets. While human interaction remains valuable, this approach has limitations, including long wait times, inconsistent service quality, and scalability challenges.
The digital transformation of customer service began with the introduction of chatbots and self-service portals. However, voice remains a preferred communication channel for many customers, especially in complex or urgent scenarios. This is where automated phone conversations powered by AI voice technology step in. https://www.precallai.com/
What Are Automated Phone Conversations?
Automated phone conversations involve the use of AI-powered voice agents or systems that can interact with customers through natural language. These systems use natural language processing (NLP), machine learning, and speech recognition to understand customer inquiries and provide accurate responses without human intervention.
Whether it’s answering FAQs, processing orders, scheduling appointments, or providing technical support, automated phone systems can handle a wide array of tasks traditionally performed by human agents.
Benefits of Automated Phone Conversations
1. 24/7 Customer Support
One of the most significant advantages of automated phone conversations is the ability to provide round-the-clock support. Unlike human agents who work fixed shifts, AI-powered systems are always available to handle customer queries, even during weekends and holidays.
2. Scalability
AI phone systems can manage thousands of concurrent conversations, making them highly scalable. This is particularly useful during peak hours or promotional periods when customer inquiry volumes surge.
3. Reduced Operational Costs
By automating routine and repetitive tasks, businesses can significantly cut down on customer service costs. AI reduces the need for large customer support teams, allowing human agents to focus on complex and high-value tasks.
4. Consistency in Service Delivery
Automated systems provide consistent responses, minimizing errors and variations that can occur with human agents. This ensures a more uniform customer experience across interactions.
5. Faster Response Times
With AI, there’s no waiting time or call hold. Customers receive instant responses, which improves satisfaction and reduces frustration.
6. Actionable Insights
AI phone systems can analyze call data to provide insights into customer behavior, frequently asked questions, and service trends. These insights help businesses optimize their support strategies and improve customer satisfaction.
Real-World Use Cases
- E-commerce
Retailers use automated phone conversations to confirm orders, handle returns, and answer product-related queries. AI systems can manage high call volumes during sales and holiday seasons without compromising service quality.
- Healthcare
Hospitals and clinics leverage AI voice agents to schedule appointments, send reminders, and provide information about services. Automated phone conversations reduce the burden on administrative staff and enhance patient experience.
- Banking and Financial Services
Financial institutions use automated phone systems for balance inquiries, fraud detection alerts, and customer authentication. This improves security and reduces wait times for critical services.
- Telecommunications
Telecom companies use voice AI to troubleshoot network issues, manage account settings, and promote new plans. Automated systems ensure customers receive timely assistance without navigating long IVR menus.
Implementing AI in Customer Support
1. Choose the Right Platform
Businesses must select an AI voice platform that aligns with their industry needs and customer expectations. Platforms like PreCallAI offer customizable solutions tailored to specific use cases.
2. Define Clear Use Cases
Start with clear, high-impact use cases such as order tracking, appointment scheduling, or password resets. Gradually expand capabilities as the system matures.
3. Integrate with Existing Systems
Seamless integration with CRM, ticketing systems, and other backend tools is critical for delivering personalized experiences and maintaining data continuity.
4. Monitor and Optimize
AI systems require continuous monitoring and training to ensure accuracy. Regularly review performance metrics, customer feedback, and conversation logs to identify improvement areas.
5. Train and Support Human Agents
Rather than replacing human agents, AI systems should complement them. Train agents to handle complex issues and escalate calls from the AI system when needed.
Addressing Common Concerns
- Loss of Human Touch
While automation can feel impersonal, advanced AI voice agents are becoming increasingly human-like. They can recognize emotions, modulate tone, and engage in natural conversations, enhancing the customer experience.
- Security and Privacy
AI platforms must comply with data protection regulations such as GDPR and HIPAA. Secure call recordings, encryption, and authentication protocols are essential to maintain customer trust.
- Customer Acceptance
Transparent communication and user-friendly interfaces encourage customer adoption. Let users know they’re speaking to an AI agent and provide options to speak with a human when needed.
The Future of Automated Phone Conversations
With continuous advancements in AI, NLP, and voice recognition, the future of automated phone conversations looks promising. We can expect more intelligent, context-aware systems that not only respond but anticipate customer needs.
Voice AI will likely integrate with other channels—email, chat, and social media—for an omnichannel support experience. Predictive analytics, sentiment analysis, and real-time personalization will become standard features.
Conclusion
Automated phone conversations are not just a trend—they represent a significant shift in how businesses interact with customers. By embracing AI voice technology, companies can deliver faster, smarter, and more efficient customer support.
From 24/7 availability and cost savings to improved customer satisfaction, the benefits are compelling. As technology evolves, automated phone conversations will become an integral part of every customer service strategy.
Now is the time to invest in AI-powered customer support and stay ahead in the competitive digital landscape.
