Beach day

took apey to the beach for a daddy daughter day. After a terrible start to the say she was really food for me. We played on the beach for ages making sand castles and jumping waves. She's gone so much braver in the water.

We had our little picnic and made a new friend too. My favourite moment was when I took a selfie of us amd she climbed on my lap and out her arms around me. It's unbelievable how much that can make your day.

Then she had a pain in her toe, felt like a splinter, so I carried her back to the car on my shoulders and we had a lovely talk about how it's daddies job to save and protect their daughters.

Then a fun session in softplay where she led me around ever square inch. When I told her we had to leave soon, I half expected a tantrum, but she said OK and played a bit more. Then at the bottom of the slide she had been looking for she said OK that's go home OK.

She was even good in the car on the way back. I love chatting to her about random stuff..I'll miss it so much when she grows up.
