#Postgame v3

A very surface level pre-in-and post game timeline!

Notes/my interpretation of the ending under cut :)

Pretty much for my interpretation of v3 i like to think that dr1 and 2 are canon, and like any other historical event, the tragedy got dozens of documentaries and similar shows based on the events! So pregame shuichi is essentially a hamilton fan. Of course, some of junkos fangirls and boys decided to make their own killing games! Their own fangans if you will. Obviously, kidnapping kids (especially ultimates) and putting them in a killing game is a huge big nono for so many legal and ethical reasons. So if you get kids who WILLINGLY sign up for a game that just simulates a killing game, then its totally fine, right? Well apparently because they got to season 53 before the participants broke out! Since team danganronpa couldnt ACTUALLY kill these kids (</3) they just simulated it, so with a few camera tricks, a shit ton of fake (pink) blood, and fuckery using the flashback lights, they just pretended the people were killed, while in reality they were -this- close to death before being pulled away quickly and rushed to a hospital!

So the end of the game goes pretty similarly, Tsumugi is spitting out tons of bullshit trying to pull this show she was trusted with back together and keep it entertaining, the trio escapes not knowing everyone's in the hospital. The three (i like including kiibo too, idk how to explain how he survived, ig they dragged him out when they ran and saved up to fix him) hide from team dr and just live their lived, getting jobs and sharing like a superrr crappy apartment. Idk how! But somehow! The survivors and the people in the hospital all reunite and they have a nice happily ever after<3

Side note: why would any of the cast think that pink blood was REAL blood? I personally think its REALLY funny if it's because the flashback lights led them to believe blood is and always has been pink, like can you imagine post game cast watching a horror movie like "????"

can you imagine learning that not only is your mind all traumatized and fucked up permanently, but then you find out that it was entirely intentional and it was a writing choice

can you imagine korekiyo (who already has these messy coping mechanisms) having to pick up all the pieces of his shattered mind and find some way to keep going? For his identity and possible remaining alters to rebuild themselves? To reconnect to the other victims in Team DR's game, despite nobody quite being the same people they were before?

Idk, I like seeing that explored.

very late christmas post because i was late to drawing AND posting :)))) but this is my piece for friendship server gift exchange to cael! there were so many good prompts so i was like. i should do all of them >:D and this is what i end up with lol (zoom in to see all/most of them! and also see them heal and become healthier and happier teehee)

i feel like there are better ways to get this idea out but i also placed SO MANY easter eggs in this piece it's just so so fun, also i think this is the best shuichi i have even drawn, once again merry late christmas

If they were put into vr, sure yay they get to see their dead friends again, but oh my god. The guilt the killers have, the struggle between what is and isnt real, pretty similar to dr2 but they wouldnt have the future foundation to help them cope

And if its not vr? If those deaths really genuinely happened and those teens are gone forever?

OUGH.

Maki, himiko, and shuichi all have nowhere to go! They're young enough theyre still in school, and i doubt theyd be able to get a home anywhere thats not a shelter (glances at maki and her past. That. Wouldn't go over well. Would definitely remind her of the orphanage and her training). And lets say sure, SOMEHOW these three traumatized teenagers with no family or legal documents get jobs somewhere and manage to scrape together enough cash to get a small apartment? What then? Himiko lost her best friends, maki watched the man she loved die because of her violent impulse, and shuichi sent children, his friends, to their grave- from *his* deductions. They have to cope with that!! Alone! These kids cant afford therapy!!!

And oh my god. Pregame. Pregame drv3 characters exist and im insane over the concept because these kids DO have social security numbers and families and pasts and (probably) friends! Do you think they ever found- or even looked for- their families? They were (if fanon is to be believed) totally different people before! Can you imagine!? Shuichi discovers social media as it is outside of the game and scrolls a bit before finding photos of kokichi before the game, smiling and showing shuichi he was a real kid like the rest of them. Or maki going to a normal high school for the first time and discovering kaito was on a sports team there, and people still talk about him because "where is he, anyways?". IF THEY. FOUND. THEIR PARENTS FROM PREGAME. What then. Relief of parents going oh my god thank god you werent killed in a KILLING GAME. But at the same time grieving the child they had lost because this *isnt* the same child they had at one point. If maki has parents pregame ill go insane and rabid.

Gonta Gokuhara week Day 6: Pregame / Postgame

It's interesting. Your memory has changed.

Now, everything makes sense. And it's scary. You remember why are you there in the first place.

There is no ending of in the world. No trials. No fire, no insects. No memories. No friends.

Just a bunch of created memories. Is your passion even real?

And if it is, why doesn't it feel as good as it was before? Why it doesn't bring you joy, happiness, and time to talk until your lungs are exhausted from all the adrenaline.?

And why when you hear buzzing, your heart pumps itself, but out of a bad adrenaline, one that you hate? WHy you don't remember? And why do you have to be okay? Why?

...

Maybe this is it. Maybe you have to start over again. And find himself and remake himself.

It's not easy. It's never easy. It'll never be.

Maybe that's just the meaning of hope. To know the truth.

And be just, be.
