The Last Dinner…

Hotel California (Sister Imperator x Mr Psaltarian)
Requested by @gogodollie !!! <3

Sister Imperators screams of ecstasy echoed throughout the hotel room, the sound pouring into the rooms of the unfortunate souls who had to listen to her coming undone from the calculated workings of Mr Psaltarians tongue. That's how the night ended, preluded by marijuana, a rocking performance, hours of painful sexual tension, and a disgusting amount of unprofessionalism.
Earlier that day, Sister had landed in California with the rest of the band, following them on their tour. Normally, she wouldn't stray far from the comforting walls of her beloved Ministry, but Nihil had practically begged her to come with, to show her how far he had come as Papa, and most importantly, to impress her with his unyielding youth, stamina, and sexual charisma. She didn't care much for the rituals themselves, but it was fun to travel from place to place, to take in new sights and experiences before she had to sit through an hour and a half of Nihil singing about Satan and getting his dick sucked. But there was something back at the Ministry keeping her from fully enjoying herself. Well, someone.
Mr Psaltarian had been working alongside her since the late 50s, back when she had very little significance in the Clergy, and from their very first meeting, they just clicked. It wasn't long till they started fucking, just for stress relief at first, getting a little too high and meeting up in one of their offices after a particularly rough day. But much to the dismay of the normally noncommittal and romance-repulsed Sister and Psaltarian, it soon developed into something more. They had called earlier, awkwardly dancing around the subject of missing one another to avoid their secret love affair being found out by someone passing by, but that brief interaction wasn't enough to quell her yearning.
Despite how subtle and secretive they thought they were, quite literally everyone in the Ministry could see through them. It was common knowledge that they were fucking, and while two coworkers fraternizing wasn't technically allowed, and certainly not professional behavior by any means, nobody dared to comment on it. Unbeknownst to the couple, everyone knew their dirty little secret. Everyone except Papa Nihil, but in his defense, he may be a bit stupid.
He was still under the impression that he had a chance with her, the poor fool! She saw the way he would gawk at her. During meetings, in the middle of rituals, pretty much anytime they were in the same general vicinity together. It was pathetic, really, but also oddly endearing. And sure, he was kinda cute... But she had better things to do with her time. Like Psaltarian. And she did him a lot.
She stood by the bar at the venue Papa was performing, drink in hand as she watched him move his body to the music in ways that made all the ladies in the audience go crazy. The concert had just started, and she was already bored, lost in thoughts of her special someone. Out of the blue, she felt a presence behind her. Not an uncomfortable, irritating presence like that of a stranger, but a pleasant, familiar one. She turned her head to see him. Psaltarian. As tall and handsome as ever, fighting back a smirk as soon as he caught a glimpse of her face. “Sister.” He greeted casually, the public space restricting their ability to display affection.
“Mr Psaltarian.” Imperator echoed, unable to help herself from cracking a little smirk. She cleared her throat, composing herself. “What a surprise. I didn't expect you to be here.”
“Well, Papa is my friend. I came to see him perform.” He replied.
“Really? You came all the way to Los Angeles just to watch Papa perform?” Sister snickered, quirking a brow. Psaltarian paused.
“There are other… benefits of coming here. Benefits I'd like to see soon.” He replied lowly, his voice lightly subjective. It takes every once of restraint the two have not to ravage each other right here, right now. A shiver runs up her spine.
“Maybe you will.” She slyly slipped a hand downwards, dropping an extra room key into his pants pocket. She decided to cease speaking for now, knowing if she were to continue her (not so) subtle flirtations, neither of them would be able to wait till after the concert. They went back from 'focusing' on the show before them. And now they wait.
The time passed agonizingly slow, but it was worth it in the end, once he finally made his way to her hotel room. In an instant, her lips crashed against his, sloppily forcing her tongue down his throat. She has never been this desperate before, she would feel humiliated if anyone other than Psaltarian saw her acting this fucking needy. Psaltarian, though he was better at controlling his emotions, felt the same way, their shared pleasure denied for far too long. Their hands roamed feverishly over each other's bodies, acting as if this was the last time they'd ever see each other again, mindlessly ripping their clothes off till there was nothing but skin pressed against skin.
He pulled himself away, only to delve his head between her legs, her cunt already sopping wet for him. A deep rumble escaped his lips the moment he tasted her arousal, never has he known a taste any sweeter. Her hands flew to his hair, tangling her fingers in his dark curls. Her slender legs, draped over his shoulders, pull him in closer, seeking more stimulation from his eager mouth. The sounds of her pleasure filled the room, each noise that came from her shot straight to the throbbing in his pants. He can't handle this for much longer, as fun as it is to have her squirming and gasping over his skillful tongue.
He went to sit up, to clamber on top of her and shove himself within her without so much as a second thought, but she wrapped her legs tightly around his head, restricting his movement. “Don’t you fucking dare.” She growled, grinding her hips down against his face. “You can’t just- fuck, s-stop right before you make me cum! F-finish what you started.” Psaltarian grumbled protestingly against her folds, but nonetheless continued his ministrations, more motivated than ever to earn an orgasm from her, so that he may finally feel her warmth around him.
It didn't take much longer for her to cum, only a few more flicks of his tongue and she was coming undone, a cacophony of sweet moans filling Psaltarians ears along with the obscene sound of him lapping up her juices. As her thighs shook violently around him, her chest heaving up and down rapidly, finally, he had a chance. In her weakened state, he's able to fight his way out of her legs grasp, taking position and lining himself up with her waiting entrance. Pressing the tip against her cunt, he winces slightly at the feeling. Lucifer, she's dripping.
His length slides in with ease, the stretch causing both of them to gasp in sync, heads lulled back and mouth agape. She whimpers softly, overstimulated and given zero time to catch her breath after that earth shattering orgasm. That was just the beginning, the calm before the storm, only given a split second for her to adjust to his size before he started thrusting, rough and uncaring. The way she clenches and spasms around his cock is addicting, only spurring him on to go faster. He's focused solely on the pleasure he's receiving now, his primal instincts taking over after having to hold himself back for so long.
He buried his face in the crook of her neck as he took her. He could only imagine her face right now, eyes shut tight, blonde strands sticking to her sweat glistened forehead, and sporting a deliciously blissed out expression. He couldn't think about it for too long, in fear the image he had painted in his mind would make him cum too early. Sister Imperator was the kind of woman that could make even the strongest-willed men crumble. Even Psaltarian, who prides himself on his sexual prowess, came within moments of being inside her for the first time. Granted, he was stoned out of his mind when it happened, but it was still embarrassing. She just held that much power. That's why he loved her so much. Because she made him weak.
“F-fuck! So tight! Spread your legs further for me. Let me feel you.” Psaltarian grunted. She did as she was told, allowing deeper access to her pussy, each thrust now slamming against her cervix. Tears started brimming in her eyes, ruining her perfect makeup, smudging and running down her cheeks. She was a mess, screeching and shaking like a woman possessed, carving up his back with her nails. He reveled in the feeling of his skin breaking by his lovers hand. This, he thought to himself, was her most beautiful state.
“I missed this…” He huffs, breathing in her scent. Sweat, cigarette smoke, and her fruity shampoo; his favorite scent. Sister only whimpered in reply. If she still had the ability to to speak right now, she would be pouring her heart out to him, rambling over how much she thought about him during their time apart, how she came to the thought of him every night during this damned tour. How much she loved him, how she never wishes to leave his side again. But even after this, when her head has cleared, she won't say a word. She doesn't need to. He already knows.
She's close again, he can feel it, her cunt achingly tight and her breathing raspy and labored. He was getting there too, his brutal thrusting growing tired and sloppy. Now it was just a matter of time, a race to the finish line. He tried everything he could to last just a little bit longer, but it was so hard when she was gripping him so insanely fucking tightly, like a snake constricting its prey. He couldn't focus on anything else, not when she was all around him, flooding all of his senses. He feared for a moment he would disappoint her and spill himself before she had the chance to finish, but when her thighs started to wobble once again, he let out a breath of relief.
One last hard slam to her cervix was all it took, a wave of warm wetness pouring over his cock as the dam finally broke, her eyes rolling back as she roared like the lioness she was. It was hard to compare her to anything less than a goddess. Surely this must be what Lilith herself looked like, positively sinful and ethereally beautiful in the afterglow of her orgasm. Lifting his head from her shoulder to lock eyes with her, that's when it finally hit him. With one last groan, he came, emptying himself within her walls, dick pulsing as he gave her every last drop of his spend.
Coming down from their shared highs, Psaltarian pulls out, eliciting one last soft whine from the heavily exhausted Sister. He watches his cum leak from her aching cunt for a moment, cursing himself for not bringing his camera to capture the breathtaking sight, before laying down next to her, holding her close to her chest in comfortable silence as they shared a cigarette. They could care less that they definitely disturbed the slumber of the occupants of the surrounding hotel rooms. They were together, and they were at peace.
Nobody dared to comment on how calm and collected Sister Imperator seemed to be the next morning. Nobody dared to comment on the hand Psaltarian was resting on her thigh under the table at breakfast. Nobody dared to ask why Psaltarian was even there in the first place. Why would they? They already knew. Even Nihil, as oblivious as he often was, exchanged a knowing glance with Psaltarian, shooting him a subtle wink.

The Last Dinner Party is the next band you need to know. They are currently in the midst of their first US tour ahead of the February 2nd release of their debut album, Prelude to Ecstasy....
On Thursday night, the band played a 14 song set to a packed Bowery Ballroom, closing the night with a rousing Dire Straits "Money For Nothing" cover. The band has the juice, they're the real deal. Star power on another planet. See this band while they're playing rooms this small. They hit Philly on Saturday night before heading to LA and Chicago.

Top Albums of 2024
It’s time for one of my end-of-the-year traditions where I look back on my favorite records released this past year. 2024 has been quite a year for me regarding concerts. I have not been to this many shows since college, and I made every second count. It’s never easy narrowing down some of my favorite highlights, so here we go.
I flew up to Maine to see Judas Priest back in April. 50 years and 19 albums later, Judas Priest has not slowed down its heavy metal velocity at all. At the young age of 73, Rob Halford can still wail like a menacing banshee. In August, I went on another adventure out to Montana to see grunge legends, Pearl Jam. It was one of the best homecomings that I have attended. People of all ages were packed inside Washington-Grizzly Stadium singing along to every song Pearl Jam played, including the most recent hits. Eddie Vedder is still a classy, down-to-earth front man, who told us amusing anecdotes in between some tracks. I celebrated Halloween earlier than usual and caught L.A. punk rockers, X, on their farewell tour at Iron City. Of course, I wore a costume to this show, and I decided to dress up as Liam Gallagher of Oasis. After this punk rock jamboree, John Doe, X's co-founder, stayed on the floor and conversed with some fans. When I briefly met him, he studied my costume. Once I clarified that I am Liam Gallagher, he noddingly approved of my creativity. Speaking of Liam Gallagher, a major purchase of mine was successfully completed. By the bare skin of my teeth, I got tickets to see Oasis live in both Edinburgh, Scotland and East Rutherford, New Jersey next summer. Liam and Noel, I am expecting you boys to behave and get along so that I can see you live from across the pond at Murrayfield Stadium and in my home country at MetLife Stadium. Please keep that hatchet buried and let bygones be bygone. In the wise words of you, Noel Gallagher, don’t look back in anger. Amidst all the shows that I attended, I also want to tip my hat to Gojira for performing “Mea Culpa (Ah! Ça ira!)” as a part of the Olympics opening ceremony in Paris, France. Well, 2024 will be a tough year to top when it comes to concert attendance.
Here are my top ten albums of 2024:
1. Brat by Charli XCX
*This selection also includes Brat and It's Completely Different but Also Still Brat.
2. Manning Fireworks by MJ Lenderman
3. You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To by Knocked Loose

7. A Dream Is All We Know by The Lemon Twigs

The Last Dinner Party Thrill Sold-Out Webster Hall

The Last Dinner Party – Webster Hall – March 26, 2024
Industry plant is a contemptible term that has been laid upon up-and-coming independent artists. The fast-rising London band the Last Dinner Party has been hounded by the label and has been vocal about its basis being untrue. Having formed across university lines, the quintet of female and nonbinary members consists of Abigail Morris, Lizzie Mayland and Georgia Davies repping King’s College, while Emily Roberts and Aurora Nishevci claim the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. It’s hard to argue their talent and ability to uplift a musical sensibility that hasn’t received significant streams since Florence and the Machine or Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill” (thanks to a Stranger Things assist). Proving the naysayers wrong, TLDP graced a sold-out Webster Hall on Tuesday to support their debut album, Prelude to Ecstasy.

The blistering orchestra of “Prelude to Ecstasy” played over the speakers, welcoming the band to mic stands and guitar necks decorated with colorful ribbons. The ribbons were a reference to their Ribbons for Provisions campaign, in which concertgoers were encouraged to bring canned goods for local food banks and rewarded with a ribbon from the band. Dramatic kick-drum thuds opened the set with “Burn Alive,” as lead singer Abigail Morris pranced about the stage. Although I was expecting flow-y, ornate yesteryear attire to accentuate the band’s Baroque-pop sensibilities, it seemed like Morris, the touring drummer introduced as “Di” and guitarist Mayland swapped the ruffles for blazers they might have picked up at a vintage shop on St. Mark’s Place. Roberts played the flute on “Beautiful Boy,” which with its sad beauty would be fitting as an ode to Timothée Chalamet. The “weeping hour” as Morris dubbed it, soon continued with the lilting vocals dramatized in “On Your Side” and keyboardist Nishevci sang in her native Albanian for the personal “Gjuha.”

The band debuted a new song before outsourcing choir duties to the audience for “Portrait of a Dead Girl” to sing the anthemic chorus, “Give me the strength.” It was clear throughout the evening that these ladies are a tight rock machine anchored by the intoxicating stage presence produced by Morris, who had the crowd in the palm of her hands. The mirror ball was activated to sparkle over the room as they closed with their hit single, “Nothing Matters.” Revelers exiting the venue could not stop complimenting the musicianship and further kicked away any industry-plant stamp. —Sharlene Chiu | @Shar0ck

Album & EP Recommendations
Filthy Underneath by Nadine Shah
Whilst everyone was going through their own personal turmoil during the last few years, much revered musician Nadine Shah was going through a particularly tumultuous time. Not long after releasing her 2020 album Kitchen Sink, Nadine would tragically lose her cancer-stricken mother during the height of the COVID-pandemic. Locked in isolation with her grief, Nadine entered a downward spiral that would play out over the next two years, with heavy substance abuse leading to depression, divorce and even an attempt to take her own life in 2022. Thankfully Nadine survived, agreeing to enter rehab where she would get the help and support she desperately needed.
Now out of rehab, substance-free and most importantly finding her happiness again, Nadine has returned with a new album that is just an absolute tour de force from beginning to end. Playing out almost like a cathartic exorcism of all the demons that have plagued her the last few years, Filthy Underneath is the sound of Nadine laying everything bare for the listener. Brutally raw, deeply personal and gracefully honest, the heavy lyrical inspiration for each track is carefully balanced with liberating, synth-drenched and rhythmic instrumentation, with the live-sounding production adding a theatrical touch to proceedings too.
While it’s an album best experienced as a complete work from start to finish, there are a few standout moments here. None more so than Greatest Dancer, a song where Nadine recalls getting high on her mum’s prescription medicine in front of an episode of Strictly Come Dancing, with pulsating synths reverberating and tribal drums pounding away as she recounts her feelings in that moment. Sad Lads Anonymous is another high point, a poetic spoken word confessional that sees Nadine describe her woes to a work experience kid in an awards show bathroom. Both these tracks present the whole album as a microcosm, filled with sounds that draw you in and make you want to dance, whilst the stories at the core are quite dark and harrowing. It all eventually culminates in the album’s hardest moment, French Exit, an ominously tense track on which Nadine openly confronts her suicide attempt. It’s a truly devastating end to an utterly enthralling record.
It’s no secret that often the darkest times can produce the greatest art. Filthy Underneath is a testament to that, with Nadine bravely and openly sharing her story as both a lesson to others but also, no doubt, her own personal catharsis. Shocking and upsetting at points yet always refreshingly honest and completely captivating, this is without a doubt one of the best albums of the year so far.

Bleachers by Bleachers
As a producer, Jack Antonoff is partly responsible for some of my favourite records in recent years, working his magic on career-best efforts from the likes of St. Vincent, Lorde, Lana Del Rey, The 1975 and, of course, Taylor Swift. It’s strange then that up until now, his own band Bleachers haven’t done much for me. Instead, Antonoff has been more engaging musically to me when he’s working in the studio behind the scenes than performing out in front. However with this new self-titled effort, their first on new label Dirty Hit, Bleachers might be starting to finally win me over.
Let me start with the caveat that admittedly there’s not too much originality to this record. At every turn Bleachers evoke other bands with their nostalgic brand of indie-pop, with their inspirations also offering up more than they do here. Bruce Springsteen is the constant comparison of course, but shades of some of Antonoff’s recent collaborators like The 1975, The National and even Bon Iver also come through strong, which maybe isn’t surprising given both Matty Healy and Aaron Dessner appear on tracks here. The good news for Bleachers though – I love all of those bands/artists. So whilst it may not reinvent the wheel, I actually find myself drawn to the warm, familiar sounds put forward on this record.
The other big selling point of this album though as just mentioned – the collaborators. Antonoff has gone through his phone book and lined up an exceptional list of guest features who lend their talents to this album, which in addition to Matty Healy and Aaron Dessner include Lana Del Rey, Kevin Abstract, Florence Welch, Annie Clark, Clairo, Bartees Strange and more. It makes for an album filled with highlights, including all four singles (Modern Girl, Alma Mater, Tiny Moves, Me Before You) and a stellar back-end run of Call Me After Midnight, We Are Going To Know Each Other Forever and Ordinary Heaven.
So, whilst it may not win any originality prizes, this is an album I’ve had in heavy rotation since its release. With catchy hooks, groovy guitars and a smattering of saxophone, give it a chance and you may find yourself taken with Bleachers’ self-titled too.

Beholder by The Blinders
It is sadly becoming all too frequent. Last month I wrote about nothing, nowhere’s financial pressures when writing and releasing new music as an independent artist and it seems Manchester indie outfit The Blinders are in a similar boat. Shortly after the release of this their third album, The Blinders released a statement to say that they were cancelling their EU tour and taking a step back from the band following the conclusion of their UK tour. It is the sad times we live in unfortunately, where independent artists and music venues are struggling more than ever to make a living, whilst the bigger artists and musical organisations just stand by and watch everything else collapse.
Hopefully the tide in the musical landscape will turn soon, but indeed if this is to be the last Blinders record, they couldn’t have asked for a better final outing. With hazy psychedelic guitar passages and passionate vocal cries from frontman Thomas Haywood, there’s rarely a dull moment across the 39-minute runtime. There’s also some of the bands very best moments too, with the likes of While I’m Still Young, Always, Nocturnal Skies and Swallowing Static all standing out.

Songs That Aren’t Mine by Matt Maltese
Having delivered one of my favourite 50 albums of last year with Driving Just To Drive, singer-songwriter Matt Maltese has wasted little time in delivering this follow-up project. However rather than all new material, Matt’s decided to take on a different challenge by serving up this intriguing covers album. Taking on much-loved classics from various eras, Matt very much puts his own stamp on the songs chosen here, turning each of them into timeless, melancholic swoons. With his selection including songs from Neil Young, Bob Marley, T-Rex, Prince, Belle & Sebastien, Avril Lavigne, Sixpence None The Richer & more, his unique takes breathe fresh new life into these well-established tunes.

Fantasies EP by Bombay Bicycle Club
A band that just don’t seem to miss, indie-heroes Bombay Bicycle Club have followed-up their much-acclaimed sixth album, 2023’s My Big Day, with this fantastic new four-track EP. Very much keeping the collaborative spirit of that record alive, each track features a female guest vocalist to compliment Jack Steadman’s signature vocals, with the wonderful Matlida Mann, Liz Lawrence, Lucy Rose and Rae Morris all appearing on a track each here. My personal favourite is Better Now with Rae Morris but if you’re a Bombay fan like me, then you’re sure to enjoy this short-but-sweet companion piece to My Big Day.
Listen here
Work In Progress EP by Holly Humberstone
Having finally released her debut album Paint My Bedroom Black last year, Lincolnshire singer-songwriter Holly Humberstone is already back with more new music, with this new EP’s arrival coinciding with her current UK tour. Forged out of unfinished tracks left on her notes app, Holly has taken the time to complete her favourite demos that didn’t make the cut for her previous EPs and debut album. Anthemic recent single Dive is still a highlight, but the spacey stripped-back title track, the saxophone-backed Down Swinging and the simply stunning Easy Tiger all hugely impress too.

Also worth checking out:, BLUE LIPS by ScHoolboy Q, How To Make A Master Peace by Master Peace, Daniel by Real Estate, The Past Is Still Alive by Hurray For the Riff Raff, Chorus by Mildlife, A Mirror Brightly by Geographer
Tracks of the Week
Broken Man by St. Vincent
The year is heating up in terms of new releases and in the last few weeks, we got news that the ever-amazing Annie Clark would be dropping her seventh solo record next month. Titled All Born Screaming, the first taste of the record is this absolute ripper of a single, filled with electrifying industrial rock and featuring none other than Dave Grohl. We’ll be reviewing the album for our April podcast and I personally can’t wait!
Listen here
Wild God by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Another big artist with a new album on the way, Australian rock legends Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds will release their 18th (yes 18th!) studio album this August. The first single is the title track and Nick Cave’s claims that the band are “happy” this time around seem legit, as Wild God is as joyous as they’ve sounded in years.
Listen here
Our World by James
Also due to release their 18th studio album this year, Mancunian indie legends James are preparing to drop their new album Yummy next month. Whilst I wasn’t completely taken with the first single, Our World is James at their best. Boasting an infectious pop groove but with a powerful political message at its heart, it’s succeeded in getting me excited for their next opus.

The Dream of Delphi by Bat For Lashes
Due to release her sixth studio album in May, which is also her first in five years, Natasha Khan AKA Bat For Lashes is back. Revealing her new record’s title track, it is a typically mystical composition anchored around her ever-stunning vocals. Welcome back!

A Dream Is All I Know by The Lemon Twigs
Having been named our Album of the Month in May last year, the D’Addario brothers are planning a repeat in 2024, with their fifth studio album A Dream Is All I Know due for release this May. The singles for the record so far have been great but this title track is the best yet, filled with their trademark harmonies and vintage rock riffs.

Passing Judgment by Been Stellar
Having caught them live this month supporting The 1975 on their current EU tour, its safe to say the buzz around Been Stellar is justified. Drawing shades to other NYC indie outfits The Strokes and Interpol, their upcoming debut is aptly titled Scream from New York, NY and if lead single Passing Judgment is anything to go by, it could end up being one of the debuts of the year.

Mirror Muscles by SOFT PLAY
It’s great to have SOFT PLAY, the duo formerly known as SLAVES, back making music. Having released Punk’s Dead last year which ended up being one of my songs of 2023, you get the sense a new album is on the way and, based off these two singles, it may just be their best yet. New single Mirror Muscles is the one that adds further weight to that claim, boasting some monster riffs and lyrics that take digs at vanity gym goers, it’s sure to go down a storm this coming festival season.

Monkey In The Middle by Marseille
And finally this week we have an up-and-coming indie outfit from Derby - Marseille. Influenced by the 90s Madchester scene, their singles up to this point have drawn comparisons to The Stone Roses and Monkey In The Middle is no different, thanks to its sprawling, psychedelic guitar passages. With some particularly scintillating riffs in the back end that would leave even John Squire himself impressed, Marseille are most certainly a band to watch going forward.

2024 Top Ten Rock Albums - The Last Dinner Party - Prelude to Ecstasy

NUMBER FOUR: The Last Dinner Party - Prelude to Ecstasy
The Last Dinner Party is an all-female, London-based alternative rock band that formed in 2021 and released its debut album in early 2024. It’s uncommon for an unknown band to release a debut that gains universal appeal, but The Last Dinner Party accomplishes the rare triumph with “Prelude to Ecstasy”. The album is a remarkable work in that it sounds unlike anything you’ve ever heard previously, rendering its release as more of an episodic event and less a debut from another new rock band.

Word of the band spread quickly creating an enthusiastic fanbase and fashionable community of followers. The band’s live shows are in high demand and this year’s tour runs in Europe and North America were sold out. It was shocking that my own hometown show, over 5,000 miles away from the band’s origin city, was sold out on a Sunday night in April only 10 weeks AFTER the album was released.
On my first listen, I was mostly confused thinking that I mistakenly pressed play on a soundtrack of a broadway musical for which I was unfamiliar. It has a musical quality that seems perfectly suited for the broadway stage with an orchestra and a cultured audience rather than in a club with sweaty patrons thirsting for a new source of Rock and Roll. But therein lies the core appeal of the album: the originality of the sound and the unfamiliarity of the vibe.

Each song features a unique element beginning with the instrumental title track, which seamlessly transitions into “Burn Alive”, the first bite into the band’s musical taste & style. Catchy tunes (“Caesar on a TV Screen”), invigorating melodies (“The Feminine Urge”), and a strong vocal performance from lead singer Abigail Morris (“On Your Side”) follow. But it’s not all perfection. The album has a lowlight: the middle passage has back-to-back misplaced vibe killers (“Beautiful Boy” and “Gjuha”) that should’ve been interchanged with B-sides, cover tunes, or excluded altogether. They seem out of place with the joyous occasion that the debut album celebrates.

But beyond the skip-tracks, “Sinner” is the undeniable crowning point of the album’s setlist and serves as the vanguard of the band’s nascent vibe. It’s by no means the end of the theatrical performances and more surprises are revealed in the final four beautifully crafted ballads and anthems (“My Lady of Mercy”, “Portrait of a Dead Girl”, “Nothing Matters”, and “Mirror”) each of which are highlighted by introspective emotions and recognizable themes of femininity, gender roles, yearning, and admiration. As the band’s name and album’s title suggest, the album is a delicious feast of rock and femininity to be savored and enjoyed until the cookie is served.

hello 🥰 for the ask game:
1) do you have a favourite author?
2) if you could go back in time and relive one concert you’ve been to, which would it be?
3) what’s an album you never get tired of having on repeat?
Thank you! 🥰
1) do you have a favourite author?
I think I would have said George Orwell once upon a time but I'm long overdue a revisit of his works so I'm not sure if that's still the case 😅 I've made a habit of reading quite broadly over the past few years as opposed to following specific authors so it's hard to narrow down, but my favourite childhood author remains Lemony Snicket and I suspect Terry Pratchett and Tolkien will end up high on my rankings when I finally get around to reading more of their work. Susanna Clarke is also a recent favourite 🥰
2) if you could go back in time and relive one concert you’ve been to, which would it be?
Just one? 😭 There are so many gigs I would happily relive - Paul McCartney at the Hydro in 2018 is a close runner-up because singing along to those iconic songs with thousands of people is truly a magical experience, but my absolute favourite concert experience was seeing Muse in Turin in 2013 - the fact that I made it to the barrier of a Muse stadium gig still feels like a dream, but that was only the icing on the cake of what was one of the best live shows I will ever witness. Though if I did get to relive it all again, I'd make more of an effort to get a handshake off Matt when he does his little tour of the barrier this time 😅💖
3) what’s an album you never get tired of having on repeat?
There's so many!
'Black Holes and Revelations' by Muse and 'Dark Side of the Moon' by Pink Floyd are probably my all-time favourites that I'll never get tired of, but some more recent albums I've had on constant rotation are 'In Times New Roman' by Queens of the Stone Age, 'The Car' by Arctic Monkeys, 'Prelude to Ecstasy' by The Last Dinner Party and 'Hit Me Hard and Soft' by Billie Eilish 💚

Tadalafil vs Sildenafil for Maximum Satisfaction
A titanic pharmaceutical battle between Tadalafil and Sildenafil is emerging in the perplexing world of sexual fulfillment, where desires and expectations are intertwined like a labyrinthine dance. Watch as I, your enigmatic tour guide on this enigmatic voyage, reveal more about the two passionate main characters. Be prepared because the way to utmost happiness is enlightened by confusion and pulsates with the burstiness of discovery!
The Prelude: Unravel the Mysteries
Let's first understand the nature of these magical substances—Tadalafil and Sildenafil—before we plunge headfirst into this tumultuous rivalry. These magical concoctions are more than just simple mixtures; they are the vehicles that transport you to the shores of enhanced joy.
Tadalafil: The Secret of Long-Lasting Ecstasy
You are engulfed in a mist of confusion by tadalafil, the sign of prolonged ardor. The extended duration of its effects—a celestial whisper that reverberates for up to 36 hours—is what gives it its mystical power. Oh, the boldness of it all! Imagine a canvas of intimacy that has been painted with long-lasting passion across time and location. Tadalafil takes its time, creating crescendos of longing that conclude in symphonies of satisfaction, allowing spontaneity to develop.
However, there's still more! Tadalafil, an illusionist, blurs the distinction between reality and fantasy, letting you embrace spontaneity free from time restraints. Step out of the shadows of tight scheduling and enjoy the embrace of unrestrained, unadulterated sensuality. The essence of satisfaction is captured by Tadalafil, which then stretches it into the horizon like a canvas begging to be painted. This, my dear seekers, is where Tadalafil wields its most effective enchantment.
Dance of Desires by Sildenafil: The Quantum Leap
Then, when the moon gives way to the sun, Sildenafil's theatrical prowess is brought to our attention. With its quick start and daring entrance, Sildenafil seizes the spotlight and compels you to engage in an instantaneous dance of wants. Sildenafil instantly channels the flow of passion that knocks you off your feet, leaving you gasping for air.
Oh, but don't confuse haste with imprudence! The appeal of sildenafil is found in both its speed and its unwavering dependability. It has stood the test of time as the ultimate charmer, enchanting many encounters. Here, a crescendo of passion that fills the heavens with yearning erupts like fireworks in the middle of a moonless night.
The Nexus of Relationship: Beyond Chemistry
Let's not lose sight of the mysterious relationship between the physical and the emotional in the midst of this storm. The soul's embrace of closeness is where the throbbing heart of fulfillment throbs in addition to the body. Since a union devoid of passion is nothing more than a hollow shell of existence, Tadalafil and Sildenafil both take center stage as the connection's catalysts in this instance.
The Selection Puzzle: A Tapestry of Choice
At the fork in the road of desire, the confusion of options dances in front of us. Sildenafil's rapid flashes of brilliance that instantly stoke passions or Tadalafil's lingering promises, a trip into uncharted waters of sustained fulfillment? The galaxy keeps its secrets to itself, while the stars remain silent. But do not be alarmed; there is no Minotaur in this maze; only options awaiting acceptance.
The Conclusion: Call upon the Arcane
We must keep in mind that contentment goes beyond basic mechanics in this world of desire and fulfillment, where choices dance together like a divine ballet. Both the symphony of the soul and the echoes of desire in flesh have resonance. The mysterious protagonists Tadalafil and Sildenafil are merely instruments in this vast orchestra of connection, begging to be used wisely and carefully.
The path to ultimate fulfillment is paved with bewilderment and brightened by flashes of revelation, I say to you as I slip back into the shadows from whence I came. Accept the mystery, use your decisions, and may the blossoms of fulfillment adorn your way, taking you to a connection's peak that defies convention.
Beware, for the world of sildenafil vs. tadalafil is one of contradictions, where pleasure arises from the blending of the mysterious and the everyday. Go forward with conviction, seek the advice of the wise, and may the winds of passion carry you to previously unrecognized heights.
