Im finally getting around to making a post on my commissions. For this past year, I have been accepting them but never really made it a public thing due to fears of it overwhelming me, but I feel I am ready to put it out there so I wouldn't have to repeat myself in DMs.
Edit: I also help manage plush related commissions for @skythevirus, so you can also ask her as well if I am unavailable.
So here's it is! I'll try to keep this updated as much as I can so things are accurate.
Disclaimer!
I am still new to plush making and commissions in general, so my style and processes may change as I improve. Please know that I work on this part-time, so projects may take longer than normal. I try to stick to finishing 1 plush a month, but things can change. I function under first come, first serve with an open waitlist if it becomes full. Please let me know if you want to be added to it. Just be mindful it will take a while until I take your commission. I will message you when I am available to take your commission, but if you do not respond in a week, I WILL take you OFF the list and take the next one in line!

G/T Headcannons

So much of G/T is science-adjacent just because of the nature of the trope. But this got me thinking about like, G/T in the setting of science academia.
A scientist and an engineer who have a years-long dispute about whether it's possible or not to change someone's size. The scientist swears up and down that they have worked out the math and theories and it just is absolutely not possible. Meanwhile, the engineer is certain that they are close to a solution. One night, perhaps long after they stopped working together, the scientist wakes from their sleep to their roof being ripped off above them. "I fucking told you!" The now gigantic engineer gloats down at them.
Bonus if the scientist is so blinded by disbelief of their math failure that they aren't even afraid. They place their tiny hands on their hips and raise their chin up to stare right into the giant's eyes. "You had to have used a different theory. Did you make the room-temperature superconductor? Do you have any idea how vast the implications of that are? And you used it to do THIS to yourself? Are you working with [another scientist whose theories they disagree with]?"
A scientist who turned themselves giant and had a falling out with their partner who works in the same field as they do. One of them didn't include the other in a hugely impactful research paper, ending in a blowout fight. Now they both go to the same conferences and have to awkwardly avoid each other.
Additionally, one could approach the other sheepishly to ask for help on a new project. It could work both ways, a giant peering down angrily at a tiny human, or a defensive human crossing their arms and getting terse with their giant ex. "What, do you need to steal more of my ideas?"
A sizeshifter who tries to slyly shrink down to retrieve a fallen piece of lab equipment. They are caught by a coworker but instead of freaking out about their size their coworker panics about how this does NOT adhere to lab safety standards, demanding to know how many times they have done this.
A sizeshifter who pulls an all-nighter in the lab, not realizing that their frustration with not getting good results has made them gradually grow all night. The first person to come into the lab in the morning is greeted with the sight of their coworker poring over reams of printed data, towering over the equipment, and trying to rub exhaustion out of their eyes. (Queue the 'dropping the coffee cup in surprise' scene.)
A giant scientist who is at the cutting edge of their field, when a human intern starts on their research project and realizes very quickly that they have (for now) unrequited feelings for this giant. The scientist's huge form looms over the intern's workstation, casting a huge shadow. They squint their eyes at the schematics on the table. Bending over slightly, their large arm lightly brushes the human's shoulder as they point to an equation. "Is this doubling every time?" "D-doubling? I-" "If it is doubling, it should be natural log two, not log two." The giant lowers their head. Their annoyed face only a few inches from the human's. The human is blushing deeply, inhaling the smell of the giant's sweet breath. "It-d-er...doubling. Doubles." The giant's face remains unamused and annoyed. Despite their impatience, they make the effort to whisper gently, to not blow out the human's ear drums. "Then why did you write log two? Fix it."
The lead scientist and lead engineer on a project are always squabbling. In an accident, one of them gets shrunk down or grows to a large new size. Now their disagreements take place with the smaller one on some form of scaffolding, waving sheets of complex equations in the air while the other crosses their arms and shakes their head.
Two young scientists get passed over and are not included in the credits of a research paper, despite their extensive work. They go to confront the senior researcher, when one suddenly doubles, or triples in size and pins the senior researcher down, demanding credit for both of them. Their tiny friend is caught in a mix of horror and amazement as they realize that their friend could just as easily pin them down like that.
"Well, aren't you just soooo smart Mr. Giant Shithead." "That's Dr. Giant Shithead to you."

Update on fanbinding dissertation: typesetting and print test!
The fics have been picked (from ao3), the author has been contacted (on tumblr), the typeset is almost done (in libreoffice, following along some gdocs shared on the @renegadeguild discord) — call me a romantic, but the amount of fan-created tools and online community spaces is making me emotional.
Here are the thoughts (could almost call them fieldnotes, look at me go):
I really enjoyed the typesetting! I kept pulling out traditionally published books from my shelf to measure margins, compare font sizes, check out page layouts. Had one technical issue, asked about it on the Renegade Bindery’s Discord, had a solution twelve minutes later. <3
I then created a SFW version, just one-signature long, for print test purposes. Changing the text was mostly to avoid sending and e-rated fic to the wrong university printer while I was figuring out how to use the printing queue, but I’m so glad I now have a physical thing to show to people without content warnings.

As it was bound to happen (bound, hehe), pages were printed all wrong, so I spent an hour trying to figure out if it was the imposition tool or the printer who hated me (turns out the printer check box ‘flip on short edge’ is a very important check box), but finally got it! Big shout out to the department’s guillotine, my new best friend.

Brought everything home, created a punching guide out of an old postcard, punched the pages with dollar store needles (was debating getting an awl, will be getting an awl) on top of an old notebook (can’t go damaging student accommodation furniture now can we), and sewed it up with embroidery floss (which I unravelled to use fewer strands). I plan on getting actual supplies for the non-lorem-ipsum book, but very happy with the test signatures!

So. Typesetting and sewing: very very fun. Imposing: also fun, like a 24-piece 3D puzzle. Printers: the one bit of technology I might never truly understand.
Next up, actually finishing the typeset, getting those supplies, and, in true fandom fashion, printing smut at school.

HOENN DONE!
Wowee zowee, I’ve been done with Hoenn for a while now and am about 20 into Sinnoh, but oh man, I think more people are finding the lil blog here as Hoenn was going by, I got to 100 followers and am averaging about 10 notes a day. Which I know that’s not much, but it’s so much more activity than I’ve had on my main blog. I’m pretty sure it’s because of the consistency? But that’s still rad.
Special thanks to @everysinglepheel and @drizzileiscool for being such regulars! I know I don’t respond, but y’all’s tags keep me going. I know Drizzile, you’re waiting for the gen after this one, and that’s cool! I appreciate you sticking around like you have, so thank you so much! Same goes for Pheel! Thank you for always checking out my art!
Also a little extra thanks to @somekindabard who I love very very much and is my partner in crime and life and the best and helps me finish off all the Pokémon probs gosh, has it been since the beginning of Hoenn? Either way, love yoooooou
After Hoenn, I also think I’m going to drop off the numbering for the days. I know it’s not a lot, but I keep losing track over where I’m at, and I’m almost positive I’m off by like five or ten at this point, so it’s just a little change to the descriptions, but it’s enough that I gotta do something about it and it would help me queueing everything up ‘cause I keep losing which number i was last on //OTL
I also have posters for each gen I’ve completed so far, along with one that just has the starters! Once I get my shop properly fixed, I’ll put them online if anyone is interested. They’re 11x17, and I’m honestly really happy with how they turned out because they’re just so goofy looking, and it’s great seeing everything I’ve done so far combined into one. I want to make prints of each of the these guys in a fun collectible way eventually (a la trading cards maybe? Or something in the realm of a pack of cards or something) because there’s just some thing really satisfying to the idea of that, and may be a better solution for my table situation when I’m vending, lol. I’ll have a post on that soon so if y’all are interested!
To answer a question that came up early in Hoenn: Yes I do plan on doing every version of every Pokemon eventually! My plan is to finish all the current Pokédex, then get to work on the Mega Evolutions, then regional versions, then potentially spend a month just doing the Unown alphabet to hopefully turn into a silly font. It’ll be a while until I get there, but maybe I’ll do some of the Unown alphabet over the course of a few days and upload those as a set when I get the spoons for that. So I won’t just stop at Paldea! (Or whatever gen Pokemon will be by the time I get to Paldea, lol)
Lastly, I was curious if you guys wanted me to answer more things on here? I read everything that is sent my way, but I don’t respond because I know some people do prefer to have blogs that are themed blogs to remain consistent and not see much else. If I did interact more, I would always tag these regular posts with ‘#not pokemon’ so if you block posts then you shouldn’t see them!
Anyway, thank you so much all those who’ve been following me for a while and all those who found my blog in Hoenn! Tomorrow starts the next region: Starly! …because I also already did the starters! :D

That was certainly one workaround that I just resorted to.
Go to print off a single page from my laptop, where I have indeed successfully used that printer before. The job stays stuck on "processing" in the queue.
Cancel that job, which has now sat there for 6-7 minutes. Repeat a couple of times.
Check that the printer is actually turned on. Which involves getting Mr. C to physically poke at it, since he currently has it physically blocked off from my gimpy ass with some boxes. (Probably not on purpose. Probably.) At least he is sitting less than 6 feet away in the same room at the time.
Make sure the laptop and printer are currently sitting on the same wifi network. Because yeah they need to be, and we have two in here. Repeat previous steps a time or two, but with less physical poking at buttons.
Mr. C volunteers that he has also had trouble printing from his Linux box recently. The Mac and Windows systems are still working fine. Start suspecting some CUPS/Brother tomfoolery.
He offers to print from one of the systems that's been working, if I send the thing to him.
In a fit of stubbornness, I save the fucker as a PDF, mail it to myself, and try printing through my older phone. After the current main one doesn't even see the printer, though it is definitely set up on there too.
This half-baked solution actually works.
Was this something urgent? Not particularly. I just got persistent.
So yeah, I have never pretended to be particularly smart--but I really am not good at letting much of anything go. More to my benefit in this case than too many others. 🥴
