Just finished this new Batman illustration using the iPad and Procreate app! I had a blast using pencil and watercolor brushes to bring out the textures and depth in the piece. Really loving the color palette I chose—moody, bold, and very Gotham. Might tweak it a little more, but for now, I’m excited to share it with you all. Let me know what you think!

Solar Eclipse ~

I finally meet you again. I waited for you a long time…. ~

Phoebe and Lyceus got an fully fledged artwork. And this time they are together. Also I use some of my own characters again. Yay!

Another piece with more than one person, oh boy I think, I slowly like to do more complicated pieces. Let‘s hope that I can keep the energy through the rest of the year. Anyway, I want to share some small background information:

Phoebe (moon) is living in a different real/world/island (<= still need to work this out) than Lyceus (sun). They meet at a solar eclipse for the first time and this also the only time frame they can meet closely/private. The other potential meet up time is at the lunar eclipse, but this is much complicated (<= still need to work this out to). As the story progress, they relationship grows and deepen. Still the challenge living in different places is still there.

It‘s not much at the moment, but I had some ideas for them in mind and I will write it down someday.

Upside Down & Inside Out

I kept listening to the song Upside Down & Inside Out and it kept making me think of Solar Ash and also filling my head with shapes and colors haha. I kinda stepped out of my comfort zone here in using a more abstract style and limited color palette, but boy I am SO HAPPY with the results!! Honestly super proud of this. I highly suggest you listen to the song, also. It goes HARD.

First off, I am *so sorry* this took so long. It is a memorial to our friend Gumby at @stickyfrogs that I started when she passed and then life happened a lot and I’ve been playing catch up since then. I know it sounds silly to say that I struggled to finish this because she’s a frog and not even a frog that I knew personally but all of the sticky frogs have been making so many people happy for so many years that I really did.

So without further ado and way too late…

I never really played the God of war game series but I watched it being played by one of my friends, I was so deeply inspired by the art, the story, the narrative, the music, everything, so I decided to make a fanart of it with all my heart, the greek saga not only made me inspired but deeply inspired by the #norse saga, the story deeply resembles my relationship with my father, it made our hearts warm.

Also pls forgive me if my time-lapse vid looks kinda blurry as I said to the video I double checked it before, but there was a time where my Ipad shut down because of low battery and I went back to procreate, the time-lapse broke im so sorry, but I never lost hope to still post it lmao.

⏰ TIME: Took me almost 2 months, I started doing this during school days, it was a bad idea I was either pressuring myself studying and drawing at the same time lol, so I continued it during christmas vacation and at the end of new years eve.

✂️EDIT: Using Imovie on apple ios, bruh this took me almost forever I thought I was gonna die out of exhaustion.

🎨 Materials and methods

I used #procreate , opened a squared canvas and lettered my words with the #brushpen . Next I colored the background and the words, added a drop shadow by duplicating, coloring and readjusting the layers. Finally, I added sprinkles in the balcgrounf and highlights.

🎨 Materialien und Methoden

Ich habe Procreate verwendet, eine quadratische Leinwand geöffnet und meine Worte mit dem Brushpen geschrieben. Als nächstes färbte ich den Hintergrund und die Wörter, fügte einen Schlagschatten hinzu, indem ich die Ebenen duplizierte, färbte und verschob . Schließlich fügte ich Spritzer in den Hintergrund und Highlights hinzu.

One of the challenges i have set for myself this year is to not draw static poses and to have better backgrounds, so i tried to channel that into this drawing. It’s a concept i have wanted for a long time which is modern Zelda. For the background i used a reference photo from a diner to get the perspective right. As you can see there are a lot of eastereggs in this drawing aswell, mostly from the first zelda game i ever played. Phanthom hourglass. And it is still one of my favorites.
