I've been obsessed with magnets since I was a kid. We had a bin of a bunch of (childsafe) magnets as like a toy/experiential learning thing. Then when I was seven my dad got me a set of bucky balls, and then two more sets (before they were recalled). So I grew up messing with bucky balls, and I can make some crazy shit with them these days.

These magnets though were purchased for a project, the idea for which caused me to immediately start pacing and stimming when I had it while talking to my prof.

Honestly these magnets are a lot less fun than my bucky balls (which I still have, they sit on my window sill) and I'm sort of glad I'm using them for more than just a toy because otherwise they'd sit on my desk and do nothing. That said, I'm still overcome with autistic glee when I think about the fact that I HAVE FIVE HUNDRED MAGNETS IN FRONT OF ME.
