Bob Rader in a letter to Pat Christenson about Ron Speirs. From Winter's Files.
--Speirs-Nothing about this bastard?Only on speculation -hearsay --killed a Sgt. in Normandy (D- Co.)?? --Worthless as company commander! only those suck asses Liked him!! --Promoted people in E Company- brought in people from Hdq. Co. Promoted those people over Toccoa men. A Real "Ass hole." the officers thought him "crazy"?
Except according to Christenson the Co E HQ looked like this:
Tumblr media
And we know Tab is Dick's 'guardian angel' and Dick freely admits he was 1 SGT. because of him, like in this interview with WWII magazine:
Tumblr media
And TAB was the one who suggested Gordy Carson as company Clerk. Plus Gordy was Dick's hero for the basketball team win, and Gordy was the athlete of athletes with 5 letters in HS so he has that going for him too. Now, Carson and Speirs definitely hit it off, but that's on you Tab.
Liebgott has been with Winters in semi-HQ position since Normandy. R.T. Smith (supply Sgt.) with Easy since Toccoa, William 'Shep' Howell came in with Rader and Hoobler, Carl Fenstermaker came in with Guth and Strohl. ( Was in Pathfinders since Normandy and made it back to Easy later on. ) Maxwell Clark was also a Toccoa guy and present for all campaigns.
Let's not forget Lt. Richey who came from HQ company and was definitely a Dick!Pick.
It doesn't feel like Speirs came in and took HQ guys, it really is feeling like Easy HQ was packed full of Dick's Picks.

Iani smithi Zanno et al., 2023 (new genus and species)
Tumblr media
(Reconstructed skull of Iani smithi, from Zanno et al., 2023)
Meaning of name: Iani = for Ianus [Roman deity of transitions]; smithi = for Joshua Aaron Smith [contributor to paleontological discoveries and conservation in Utah]
Age: Late Cretaceous (Cenomanian)
Where found: Cedar Mountain Formation, Utah, U.S.A.
How much is known: Partial skeleton of one individual, including parts of the limbs, much of the vertebral column, and a nearly complete skull. Some isolated teeth from the same rock unit probably also belong to this species.
Notes: Iani was an iguanodontian, a diverse group of plant-eating dinosaurs that includes the duck-billed hadrosaurids. It was only a distant relative to hadrosaurids though, and may have instead been more closely related to the rhabdodontids, a lineage of small- to medium-sized iguanodontians from Europe. If so, Iani would be the one of the few rhabdodontid-like iguanodontians known from North America, possibly along with the Early Cretaceous Tenontosaurus.
Iguanodontians from the Late Cretaceous of North America are mostly represented by hadrosaurids and their close relatives, and by the end of the Cretaceous they appear to have been the only iguanodontians left in the region. However, Iani demonstrates that other types of iguanodontians had not yet disappeared from North America at the beginning of the Late Cretaceous.
Reference: Zanno, L.E., T.A. Gates, H.M. Avrahami, R.T. Tucker, and P.J. Makovicky. 2023. An early-diverging iguanodontian (Dinosauria: Rhabdodontomorpha) from the Late Cretaceous of North America. PLoS ONE 18: e0286042. doi: 10.1371/journal.pone.0286042

Sleepless again, I went to the porch to watch the comet streaking its ice across the sky. The reliable stars held their courses, Orion and Gemini, ignoring the drifter’s gesture that said, Follow me. I remember the great cedar struck by lightning when I was a child, the way it shivered and lit up but did not break or blaze. It died from the inside, for two years struggling to sustain its green. When my wife began to accuse me of loving another woman and saw rivals in every shadow, I did not understand that meant she would never again listen to me. Even now, knowing the comet is speeding in spite of its seeming stillness, I shiver to remember those days of happy madness when I thought passion, brilliant as a comet or gleaming cedar, could set us free.

Christians have to become strong or we will be trampled
Christians are going to have to stop being so weak - WE ARE BEING BULLIED!
This was on my heart today.
There is a church in Georgia that sent a letter to a member that left her husband for a woman.  Basically it was for her to repent and if she doesn’t she would have to leave the church.
She went to social media and it has now blown up. She knew exactly what would happen.  (It was not only homosexuality but also adultery but for some reason everyone focuses on homosexuality)
Christians are going to have to start getting a backbone. YES!! We have never had to fight for christ, but the time has come.
Start putting on your FULL armor of Christ and fight for him!!
On easter - SNL mocked christians and had a lil naz x look a like LAPDANCE on Jesus!! This was holy week?
WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE!!!!!
(I went on SNL site and sent them a email complaining, next time I will find their phone number)
They wouldn’t have done that to the muslims because the muslims fight for their respect. Even if you don’t agree, you know BETTER not to mess with muslim people.
They ALWAYS fight christians because we are easy.
Let me tell you a quick story:
I used to work in a company and at my department, a lady used to complain about how we were treated and it wasn’t fair. SHe complained a LOT and got on everyones nerves. She stood up and complained about the unfair treatment.
When she left, the treatment became OUTRAGEOUS. It was in our face now, and I could see the mistreatment. I never said anything when she complained but she was a strong person and wasn’t afraid to rock the boat. She complained and I didn’t.
Once she left the company, the managers did things in OUR FACE! I realize then that she was right and I should of had the backbone to speak up when I saw wrong.  But I didn’t, I was weak and worried about my job.
WHEN YOU DONT SPEAK UP!!! PEOPLE TRAMPLE OVER YOU!
THE LGTB COMMUNITY FIGHTS FOR THEIR RIGHTS, THE MUSLIMS DO and WHETHER YOU THINK YOU WILL OR NOT!!! YOU WILL FIGHT! THE WORLD IS GOING TO MAKE US.
The gays are now harrassing the church, calling their personal phone numbers, going on line and leaving bad reviews on their church. If you disagree with them they bully you. BUT AS I SAY AGAIN!!! NONE OF THEM ARE BOTHERING MUSLIMS BECAUSE THEY KNOW MUSLIMS DONT PLAY.
PERSONALLY- I have been counteracting it and leaving great reviews and others have also.
Please CHRISTIANS!! It is time to fight...This is a poem that can also help.  This is about the holocaust.
“First they came . . .” by Martin Niemoller
R.T. Smith
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
— Martin Niemöller
Remember 6 million people were killed!
Put on your FULL ARMOR OF GOD AND FIGHT! Where you see people attacking our churches (the good ones), fight, fight, fight!!
Everyone else knows how to fight!
*Before I got behind that church, I made sure that what they did was biblically sound. ( That same church, I heard the the pastor was molesting his grand-daughter but he is not there now, I think they got rid of him).
If you don’t learn how to fight back, we will lose EVERYTHING.
Can’t see the writing on the wall????
You may say you don’t have a DOG in this fight but you do, they will come for you also.
I can’t fight alone. Christians need to not be ashamed of the gospel and fight for God and he will fight for us. Where you see it, stamp it out!!!
Here is the church -

My Methodology: reflections and outcomes
A reflection of my practice in relation to the notion of practice as research, practice-based and practice-led research
I have two possibilities of projects to develop:
- Environment and nature documentary in a belonging perspective, using new technologies
Firstly, to develop my work in high technologies and make my ideas come true, regarding interactivity and belonging approach, I have to research how to manage the new technologies intended to be used at the final work. Then, the research-led practice has been crucial to understand how to present my work into augmented reality and virtual reality and the process behind it. The technologies involved and how to create work using “code language” into software are challenges I have to face.
Also, it is crucial to validate my ideas because another professional experience, computer science, is needed.
- Self-portrait as experience of belonging in a therapeutic approach.
It is a practice-led research method to validate my intuitions and inner experience using self-portraits.
When I started this research, I found very good information regarding the definition and differences between therapeutic photography and phototherapy.
Therapeutic photography is the use of photography as a means of therapy, without either intention or the guidance of a mental health professional.
Phototherapy is the use of photography by mental health professionals as a method or process of healing or auxiliary in the healing process.
Thus, I understand therapeutic photography as a practice-led research method and phototherapy a research-led practice method.
I agree that artistic research processes are often iterative or cyclic. In the Creative Arts, specially, when trying new methods of making art to achieve new results with or without previous experience by other artists and techniques not used before. That is the situation of my research for documentary in a belonging perspective, in which I must try new technologies. It involves also what is aesthetically feasible to present the final work.
For instance, I had an idea for holograms, but I was sure it was not feasible to work with it in photography due to the behaviour of the light. However, I needed to research and look for theories, to be sure. The same with augmented reality technologies, which is not just an embedded link to open a new photo or movie from the link or a QR Code. I am still trying and looking for the theories involved as well as Case Studies, and I already have some answers and options to try again.
Case studies have been important to validate some new techniques. Trying, testing and trying again is crucial to the research, using new techniques that haven’t been yet tried enough.
I use multiple methodologies in my research. I started it visiting some exhibitions in museums using, as a visitant, the Virtual Reality headset and augmented reality sensors and mobiles. It means the use of a Case Study combined with experimental studies and action research.
On both methods, survey could be also explored with participants, using questionnaires about the process of experiencing such activities.

The photo above was made as an experiment, in a park near my home, one day before the quarantine. I could not return to make new experiments, in order to develop new ideas before I went to the animal sanctuary for an initial photo session. I had to stop my experimental research due to the lockdown in my city.
Much contrast is needed into the use of augmented reality, according to my experimental process and to the information from a technology experts.
Also, software and expertise in computer code may be learned by photographers instead of delegating the postproduction to others in the editing process. That is something to research and to define.

Sweetgum and Cedar
For ages, I wanted a poem with hard and scaly bark, a sweetgum, leaves with sawtoothed lobes, the grain tight, each sawed log sap-sealed and able to grip several wedges at once, its gist and intention beyond the human ken, a heart hardy as rebar and dangerous to any axe's edge. I wanted a poem so rooted in beauty every bird in it would sing the pure vernacular amid fruitballs exotic and spiky as ancient weapons, wood that burned slow from simmer to ember and might last the night before falling to ash.
But now I need a poem more like sweet cedar, a whim, volunteer from a seed shat by some migrant in flight with only weather to do the nourishing work, the mature thing ideal for windbreak and shelter belt, an eastern red cedar easy to split and sliver, its timber a harbor for the shapes and shades of flame, species once the sole donor of heartwood for pencils, though who now even owns a pencil and writes by the hearth where flames crackle and shimmer, the smoke fragrant as a forest, say sweetgum, say cedar, writing for life — with graphite sleeved in its miracle of wood — this dark sentence across the long night of words? “You must set the example and be firm, but you cannot keep them quarantined or cooped. You see, my friend, if I may call you a friend, I am not mindless of what I’m engaged in at this moment – diversion and evasion, a ceremony of reticence – but drive safely now. The forecast is storm. And don’t miss that first turn, which is nearly hidden. See how the clouds, also,
form a kimono pattern? You almost imagine a spectral woman will inhabit them and slowly dance across a sky of heron-laced silk, her eyes turned up to the far clamor of the birds. Expectant, you see, but tranquil as a windless leaf, as if any stray sound or fancy from the world of pretense might possibly temper her grief.”
