When writing the title track for his new solo album, David Gilmour found inspiration in an unusual place – a French train station (Aix-en-Provence). ‘Rattle That Lock’ – the title track from his fourth solo album – samples the chime from the SNCF train announcement.

“‘Rattle That Lock’ was inspired musically by the sound that’s played on French railway stations before they make an announcement. It’s a jingle, a four-note jingle that’s played, and every time I heard it it’d make me want to start dancing. I was in Aix-en-Provence station visiting friends, I heard it as you often do. So I then turned my iPhone on, held my Phone up nearer the speaker and waited for the next announcement, took that sample from that and that’s what I’ve used for this track,” he explains.

so, I’ve been thinking about pyrrha helping to paint a nursery on the ninth. something about it has always seemed off to me and I finally figured it out: by the time this happens, the lyctors have all ascended, except anastasia, of course. nobody knows pyrrha is still around.

my question is: did anastasia know? who else was at this little painting party? just g1deon? did he even know he was there? or did he like, black out and wake up with paint on his clothes? it seems odd to me that only one of them would have been there, but it’s also possible that anastasia had been a bit ostracized due to, well, everything. maybe cassiopeia was there? you know mercy wouldn’t be caught dead painting a nursery.

and let’s say that it was just pyrrha and anastasia. what did they talk about? what did anastasia tell her about the tomb? the ward? her failed lyctorhood?

I have Thoughts about harrow and gideon both seeing their relationship as romantic, actually, but they both think it’s unrequited

for gideon in particular she totally married harrow (“if aught but death part me and thee”, “sure cam, marry a moron then die, I get the urge”) EXCEPT she sees it as a one sided marriage (girl lol) and in this case death joined them rather than parting them….. so harrow’s refusal to eat her soul is a double rejection - she gave harrow her life in the physical and metaphorical sense, and from her pov harrow basically went “fuck u here’s our divorce”
