Healthcare: Telehealth services benefit from white label solutions, offering secure and branded communication tools for remote medical consultations.
E-Learning: Educational platforms integrate OTT solutions for real-time interaction between teachers and students.
Challenges and Considerations
While white label mobile OTT solutions offer numerous advantages, there are some challenges to consider:
Competition: The OTT market is highly competitive, and differentiation is crucial to success. Your app should offer unique features or cater to a specific niche.
Maintenance: Ongoing updates, bug fixes, and security patches are necessary to keep the application functioning optimally.
User Privacy: Handling user data and privacy is a significant responsibility, so robust data protection measures are essential.

Top OTT Platforms
What is OTT ?
On OTT platforms, OTT stands for Over The Top and you may already know it. Unlike traditional cable TV networks, these OTT platforms offer multimedia content such as programs, movies, TV series and exclusive platform content over the Internet.
You can subscribe to these OTT streaming services for a monthly fee and stream the content available on the platform from any compatible device. The ability to consume content on any capable device is one of the main benefits of OTT streaming services.
Most OTT platforms are built with native apps for Android, iOS and web, and are available on other hardware such as Fire TV Stick and Smart TVs. With the growing demand for OTT services and platforms, we’ve seen many cable TV providers, ISPs, and streaming devices like Roku partner with popular options.
OTT platforms offer a number of important benefits such as: B. A wide catalogue of films and shows, the possibility to consume them on different devices, all with a good internet connection for a small monthly fee. No wonder these OTT streaming services are all the rage right now given the ongoing pandemic situations.
IF You are so eager to know more about TOP 10 OTT PLATFORMS Checkout my blog …
How to set up OTT streaming services?
These OTT streaming services deliver their content to the streaming portal via cloud-based operations that can be scaled to handle traffic spikes and continue to deliver content to consumers with no downtime. These services continue to buy good content and add it to their platforms, so their customer base continues to grow.
This creates a competitive environment between OTT streaming services to look for good content and offer it at a good price to have on their platforms. In addition, content creators also get a fair price for their content, which in turn motivates them to keep creating good content as it is properly rated.
All of this becomes a win-win situation for everyone involved. For example, the consumer will always have something good to consume, the creator will always be rewarded for posting engaging content, and in turn, these platforms will continue to grow. Since the content is distributed over the internet, there is no need to wait as millions of users can watch their favourite show or movie whenever they want. It is more of an a la carte consumption.

Disney+
Another popular OTT service on the market is Disney+, which offers content from Disney, Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, Nat Geo and more. Will sports betting be ready for football season? 'That made me nervous, lottery leader says | Business

Will sports betting be ready for football season? 'That made me nervous, lottery leader says | Business

Now that sports betting bills passed by the Legislature have been signed into law, the first legal bets in Louisiana could be placed at the end of football season. But some businesses are already making moves in anticipation of cashing in on the wagering.
While all of the state-licensed riverboat casinos, racinos and the Harrah’s land-based casino in New Orleans will be able to get in on the action, others have laid the groundwork to cash in as well.
The Louisiana Lottery Corp. plans to have an online app and install up to 1,000 kiosks in bars and restaurants that serve alcohol. Nola.com and theadvocate.com, along with The Times-Picayune and The Advocate, will launch a new sports-betting website, ramp up sports coverage and create digital sports-betting shows. For nearly a year, the local sports talk station, 104.5 ESPN, has had a daily gambling show hosted by Jimmy Ott. Earlier this month, WBRZ started airing daily programming from VSiN, a Las Vegas-based sports betting network on its WBRZ+ channel.
“They know the numbers are going to be big in Louisiana. They’re smart to get out ahead of it,” said Brian Musburger, founder and chief executive officer of VSiN, whose programming is available online and through some cable systems, but for the first time is airing on a broadcast network through its association with WBRZ.
NOLA.com, The Times-Picayune and The Advocate are excited to announce an expansion of our award-winning sports coverage this summer as Louisia…
The market for sports betting in Louisiana is estimated to be between $2 billion and $2.6 billion over the next 10 years, said Yaniv Sherman, a senior vice president and head of U.S. operations for 888 Holdings, an online gaming company based in Gibraltar that also hopes to tap into the Louisiana market.
Louisiana is a unique market because there are a high number of people interested in Saturday betting — a day dominated by college football — and in Sunday betting, where the NFL is king. While that’s not a surprise given how big the fan bases are for LSU and the New Orleans Saints, Musburger said he’s basing this on the audience numbers for VSiN that are coming out of the state. “There are a lot of passionate sports fans licking their chops for sports betting,” he said. “It’s going to be a big number.”
The Louisiana Gaming Control Board will spend the next month or two working on administrative regulations for sports betting, which will cover things such as internal controls, operating procedures and technical aspects of the mobile betting platforms. The rules will be published in August or September, Mike Noel, the former head of the board said before his resignation in June.
Once those rules are published, casinos and mobile gaming operators will be able to apply for a license for sports betting. It will take Louisiana State Police about three months to conduct investigations and process the applications, so wagers could be taken in November or December, Noel said.
Casino executives and staffers are hard at work getting ready for sports betting to begin and can continue for a few more weeks without a chai…
All of the state-licensed riverboat casinos, racinos and the Harrah’s land-based casino in New Orleans will be able to operate sports books and mobile apps. Each casino will be able to license two different “skins,” or individually branded mobile apps.
All of the companies that own casinos in Louisiana have some relationship with a sports betting company, so it’s expected this will carry over, though not all Louisiana casino operators contacted would discuss their plans for sports betting.
One exception was Boyd Gaming, the parent company of Treasure Chest Casino in Kenner, Evangeline Downs Racetrack & Casino in Opelousas, Amelia Belle Casino in Amelia, Delta Downs Racetrack Casino Hotel in Vinton and Sam’s Town Shreveport.
The company readily said sports betting has been a popular amenity at its casinos in other states, such as Imperial Palace in Biloxi, Mississippi, and Sam’s Town in Robinsonville, Mississippi. Boyd operates sports books at both of those properties in partnership with FanDuel, which has the largest share of the online gambling market.
Hollywood Casino has filed a permit to expand its operations and move onto land.
“Together with our partners at FanDuel, we look forward to introducing traditional sports books and mobile sports betting at all five of our Louisiana properties,” Boyd said in a statement. “We plan to apply to the Louisiana Gaming Control Board and Racing Commission for sports-betting licenses in the near future.”
DraftKings, the other leader in online sports betting, is also expected to have a presence in Louisiana. The company has branded sports books at 13 casinos, including Scarlet Pearl in D’Iberville, Mississippi. DraftKings also has a marketing agreement with Casino Queen, which plans to buy the Belle of Baton Rouge and Hollywood Casino Baton Rouge. That agreement already has led a riverboat casino in East St. Louis, Illinois, to be rebranded as DraftKings at Casino Queen.
Twice daily we’ll send you the day’s biggest headlines. Sign up today.
Gaming giant Caesars Entertainment, which owns Harrah’s New Orleans and the Isle of Capri Lake Charles, operates its own online sportsbook.
“We look forward to working with regulators and our Louisiana team members so we can offer another form of entertainment to the state’s residents and visitors,” the company said in a statement.
Sports betting is on the way in Louisiana as Gov. John Bel Edwards signed the legislation Tuesday to create the protocols and regulation of wa…
Among those with sports betting relationships is Penn National Gaming, the parent company of L’Auberge Baton Rouge and L’Auberge Lake Charles. It has a stake in Barstool Sportsbook, which operates branded sports books at some of its properties. Churchill Downs, the owner of the Fair Grounds, also owns TwinSpires, an online betting site.
Rose Hudson, president and chief executive officer of the lottery corporation, said the framework is still being worked out for sports betting through up to 1,000 kiosks in bars and restaurants that serve alcohol, such as the limits that will be placed on how much can be bet at one time. That’s being done so retailers don’t need to keep large amounts of cash on hand to pay out winners.
The lottery is making its own rules for sports betting, separate from the gaming commission. Those rules will mainly focus on suitability standards, similar to those businesses have to meet in order to sell lottery tickets, such as paying taxes and not having a criminal record.
It’s not clear how long it will take for the lottery to get into the sports betting business.
“I heard them (legislators) saying by the start of football season; that made me nervous,” Hudson said. “I don’t see us starting in August. We’ll need to have a better handle on it first.”
Hudson said the lottery corporation’s mobile sports betting app is expected to launch first before the kiosks are introduced.
Oregon, which is similar in population size to Louisiana, launched sports betting through its state lottery in October 2019. The Oregon Lottery has apps for Apple and Android devices, which allow residents to bet on everything from the NFL and NBA to Russian table tennis and Pakistani cricket. However, the state doesn’t allow betting on college sports. Since sports betting was legalized in the state, more than $405 million has been wagered and $36 million in tax revenue was generated for Oregon.
Pennsylvania-based Spectrum Gaming Group analyzed the gambling market for Louisiana Economic Development in 2019. The company estimated sports betting could generate between $237 million to $332 million in annual revenue for Louisiana. It could also bring in younger customers to casinos, who generally aren’t a big gambling market.
Even though Mississippi has gotten a two-year jump on sports betting, that shouldn’t have much of an impact on the Louisiana market, said Matt Roob, senior vice president of analysis for Spectrum.
“It’s all about convenience,” he said. “If you can bet on your phone, why would you go to Mississippi?”
And for gamblers who want to visit a sports book after work to watch a game while having dinner and drinks, it makes more sense to head to a local property than the Mississippi Gulf Coast. “You’re going to go to the place that’s closest and most convenient,” he said.
Sherman, the 888 Holdings executive, said the firm, which trades on the London Stock Exchange, is bullish about Louisiana. 888 Holdings is working with “a blue chip brand” and plans to seek certification to enter the state’s sports gaming market.
Though the Louisiana market is estimated in the $2 billion to $2.6 billion range over 10 years, Sherman said he expects that number will grow since the only experience the state’s residents have with legal online betting is through offshore casinos.
“The vast majority of your customers online never visit your property, especially in larger states,” he said. “Sixty-five to 80% of people who bet through a casino app never set foot on the property.”

New Post has been published on https://otakudome.com/paramount-has-announced-upcoming-content/
Paramount+ Has Announced Upcoming Content

Paramount+ has announced new content for the streaming service:
NEW YORK, February 24, 2021 – MTV Entertainment Studios announced during today’s ViacomCBS Streaming Event presentation that Academy Award nominee Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker, Wind River) has been tapped as the lead in the highly anticipated drama Mayor of Kingstown exclusively for Paramount+. Prolific director, Antoine Fuqua (Academy Award -winning Training Day), has signed on as executive producer in the new series from Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Taylor Sheridan – co-creator of Yellowstone, cable’s most watched show of 2020 – who recently signed a multi-year pact with ViacomCBS and MTV Entertainment Group.
Mayor of Kingstown follows the McLusky family – power brokers in Kingstown, Michigan where the business of incarceration is the only thriving industry. Tackling themes of systemic racism, corruption and inequality, the series provides a stark look at their attempt to bring order and justice to a town that has neither. Mayor of Kingstown will be executive produced by Sheridan, co-creator Hugh Dillon, Jeremy Renner, Antoine Fuqua, David Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari and Michael Friedman. MTV Entertainment Studios, Sheridan’s Bosque Ranch Productions and 101 Studios will produce.
“I am excited to dig into the complex and rough-around-the-edges character of Mike McLusky (the Mayor of Kingstown),” said Jeremy Renner. “In a world otherwise forgotten in society, Mike serves as a flawed system of checks and balances. Taylor has brought to life a layered and poignant universe that is not only incredibly intriguing but also more relevant than ever.”
“When Taylor told me about Mayor of Kingstown, I immediately wanted to be a part of it,” said Antoine Fuqua. “The series offers a comprehensive look into the brutal prison system where sociopolitical issues run rampant. Prisons are a forgotten world to most of the population and yet represent a microcosm of society as a whole.”
About 101 Studios:
101 Studios is a global entertainment company dedicated to the acquisition, financing, development, production and distribution of high-caliber, creator-driven storytelling. On the film side, past releases include Alfonso Gomez-Rejon’s The Current War: Director’s Cut, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, the Sundance Audience award winner Burden featuring Forest Whitaker as well as the family comedy The War with Grandpa with Robert DeNiro. On the television side, 101 produces Taylor Sheridan’s cable’s biggest show for Paramount Network Yellowstone, starring Kevin Costner as well as Sheridan’s upcoming series Mayor of Kingstown. Additionally, 101 Studios oversees and manages the newly formed Sports Illustrated Studios, a content platform based on the biggest and most compelling stories, characters and moments in sports past, present and future. Upcoming projects include Paradise Found based on the true story of high school football coach Rick Prinz; an untitled docuseries about the sexual abuse and cover-up at Ohio State University, co-produced by George Clooney and Grant Heslov’s Smokehouse Pictures; the feature film Red Rose Crew based on the riveting true story of the US international women’s crew team and the docuseries Covers, a behind-the-scenes look at Sports Illustrated’s top cover stories of all time.

ViacomCBS will also bring Paramount+ to international markets with an initial debut in Australia, Latin America and the Nordics in 2021.
NEW YORK, February 24, 2021 – MTV Entertainment Studios announced during today’s ViacomCBS Streaming Event presentation a slate of upcoming series for the rebranded streaming service from Academy Award nominee and
Yellowstone co-creator Taylor Sheridan.
On the heels of the success of Paramount Network’s Yellowstone – #1 cable show of 2020 – Sheridan will create new series under his overall deal with ViacomCBS and MTV Entertainment that include both Mayor of Kingstown and Land Man, in addition to expanding the Yellowstone universe with 6666 (working title) and the previously announced Yellowstone prequel, Y: 1883 that was teased during Super Bowl LV.
“Yellowstone is the #1 show with tens of millions of fans based on the characters Taylor has created and his gift for world building,” said Chris McCarthy, President, MTV Entertainment Group. “With Paramount+, our strategy is to supercharge subscribers by franchising our biggest hit IP like we’re doing with Yellowstone prequel Y: 1883 and build new IP with marquee creative talent like Taylor.”
“Taylor, Paramount+ and MTV Entertainment Studios have been incredible partners to us at 101 over the years,” said David Glasser, CEO of 101 Studios. “Together, we have been able to build Yellowstone into an immersive universe for audiences globally. And that is what we intend to do with these series as well. We will be introducing new characters and story lines alongside world-class talent and creators. We are very much looking forward to bringing these shows to life.”
MAYOR OF KINGSTOWN
Mayor of Kingstown follows the McLusky family – power brokers in Kingstown, Michigan where the business of incarceration is the only thriving industry. Tackling themes of systemic racism, corruption and inequality, the series provides a stark look at their attempt to bring order and justice to a town that has neither. Mayor of Kingstown will be executive produced by Sheridan, co-creator Hugh Dillon, Jeremy Renner, Antoine Fuqua, David Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari and Michael Friedman.
LAND MAN
Set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas, Land Man is a modern day tale of fortune seeking in the world of oil rigs. The series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics. Land Man will be executive produced by Sheridan and produced by David Glasser, Ron Burkle and Bob Yari.
YELLOWSTONE SPINOFF, 6666 (WORKING TITLE)
Founded when Comanches still ruled West Texas, no ranch in America is more steeped in the history of the West than the 6666. Still operating as it did two centuries before, and encompassing an entire county, the 6666 is where the rule of law and the laws of nature merge in a place where the most dangerous thing one does is the next thing … The 6666 is synonymous with the merciless endeavor to raise the finest horses and livestock in the world, and ultimately where world class cowboys are born and made. The series will be executive produced by Sheridan, John Linson, Art Linson, David Glasser, Ron Burkle and Bob Yari.
Y: 1883
Y: 1883 follows the Dutton family as they embark on a journey west through the Great Plains toward the last bastion of untamed America. It is a stark retelling of Western expansion, and an intense study of one family fleeing poverty to seek a better future in America’s promised land – Montana. From MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios, Y: 1883 will be executive produced by Sheridan, John Linson, Art Linson, David Glasser, Ron Burkle and Bob Yari.
In the previously announced deal, Sheridan is set to create exclusive multi-platform content with MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios under the multi-year pact which includes five cycles per year of scripted and procedural series. Content will be exclusive to ViacomCBS including but not limited to Paramount Network, Paramount+, CBS and other VCBS brands and platforms.

TikTok is a free social media app that lets you watch, create, and share videos -- often Titanium TV APK download to a soundtrack of the top hits in music -- right from your phone. It was originally available as musical.ly in the U.S. but was rebranded when the two apps merged in August 2018.
The capability to send messages from anywhere in the globe using Wi-Fi as well as send photo messages totally free provide the applications the edge over the standard message. You'll see a listing of applications currently mounted on the tool you're utilizing, however you can click Program all to see a checklist of all applications connected with your Microsoft account. At the top of this listing will be applications that work with your device; scroll down to see a listing of noncompatible applications associated with your account. You can see your Android application background on your phone or on the web.
TangoTab is a Low-cost Android Tablet Computer with a Wide Variety of Ports.
My child wants music and also app this app, however I wasn't certain due to the fact that I had actually seen a few of unsuitable web content. The concept that there are climbers out there seeking kids on these apps is rather scary. I wish that we can set a precident for us to have actually shared accounts, so she knows that I can constantly get in as well as monitor the activity.
It has cross-platform support so you can use it on computer systems, smart phones, tablet computers, or whatever. There are others, yet LastPass constantly feels like it's one step in advance. You can additionally get LastPass Authenticator to go along with it for included safety.
What is the most downloaded game?
iPhone 6s is still a great phone, even in 2019. It has quite good big display (not really big, but big enough), it is quite thin, relatively durable (especially comparing with iPhone 6), not too expensive (can't say “cheap”, because all Apple stuff is relatively more expensive than the non-Apple competitors).
Subway Surfers Was one of the most Downloaded Video Game of the Decade.
The leading 13 applications may not be to everyone's taste, yet it's tough to claim there's anything incorrect with them. Clean Master is the initial application on this listing that you must avoid in all prices. The OneDrive application also flaunts safety and security attributes such as biometrics as well as PIN codes to keep your information risk-free in case you lose your phone. Keep an eye on these three Office applications-- they will likely fire even higher when we next off upgrade the checklist.
What Makes a Wonderful Mobile Application?

That appears like the emphasis for LG, enhancing the electronic camera performance in this phone. This phone had been expected at Mobile World Congress, but LGpulled out of the show. We've because seen the launch of the LG V60, however the G9 continues to be missing. To make up the shortfall, mobile operators will progressively try to companion with OTT systems to permit users marked down information access while utilizing messaging applications, Dahia says. This will allow messaging apps to expand their reach, while letting networks benefit from membership plans.
Is WhatsApp free on iPhone?
Note that Apple no longer labels apps as “free”—while there are many you can download at no cost, they may require in-app purchases, like subscriptions, to unlock some functions or make full use of features. On iOS, any app with a “Get” button is free to download but not necessarily free to use or play.
Top Application Worldwide for Q1 2019 by Downloads
Obtain the most up to date tech updates and damaging news on the go, straight to your phone, with the Komando.com Application, readily available in the Apple Store and also Google Play Shop. There are 8 million applications available on the Google play shop as of the initial quarter of 2019.
For something various, let's take a step back and take a look at a few of the all-time most preferred Android apps in the Google Play Store. These are the ones that Android's 2 billion energetic individuals have downloaded and install most regularly. On your Android phone, open up the Google Play shop application as well as tap the food selection switch (three lines). In the food selection, faucet My video games & apps to see a list of applications presently installed on your tool. Faucet All to see a checklist of all apps you've downloaded on any type of device utilizing your Google account.
Therefore, the impact is reversed as well as power intake could in fact increase. We informed you about our favorite free applications for the apple iphone, but that is just a sprinkling of what is readily available in the Application Shop. There is a pretty good possibility there are a couple of we have actually never ever also heard of. If you keep a listing of your passwords on a sheet of paper that you always appear to lose, or if you use the very same three passwords for every single account, you're doing it incorrect.
The Most Popular Android Applications: How Many Do You Make use of?
Microsoft strengthens its growing relevance in the Android application marketplace with the arrival of OneDrive in the top 20 most prominent Android apps. OneDrive is preferred amongst Windows customers on Android thanks to its capacity to access any kind of documents on your desktop (presuming you have actually established gain access to before leaving your home). Subway Surfers was one of the most downloaded application video game of the decade, driven by its solid adoption in India which represented over 15% of its all-time downloads (iphone & Google Play integrated). Success originated from many different areas as each of the most downloaded and install games came from a different company. Tik Tok if officially 13+, as well as PG13 is allowed to have individuals cussing, so i do not see why tik tok can not too.

Facebook Lite is just one of the most significant champions in the upgraded list; it is up six locations in the last 18 months and also has doubled its complete number of downloads. The existence of Carrier in the 3rd placement reinforces the control that Facebook's realm has more than the mobile phone app industry.

Chandrayaan-2 Vikram landing
Chandrayaan-2 moon mission this week had an important objective to carry out – soft landing the Vikram module (named after Vikram Sarabhai, considered the Father of the Indian space programme) on the Moon. Unfortunately, things did go as planned, and ISRO lost contact with the lander 2.1 kilometres from the lunar surface. The Vikram lander notably also contained the Pragyan rover. Data from the landing was under analysis, ISRO said at the time.
Since then, ISRO has issued a statement saying that the Chandrayaan-2 mission was unique, and one it is proud of. It added the mission had completed 95 percent of its objectives, and hence could be considered a success. The lifespan of the orbiter was also found to be much longer than initially planned thanks to “precise launch and mission management.”

Choosing Between Firebase and Google Analytics SDKs for App Tracking
Choosing Between Firebase and Google Analytics SDKs for App Tracking
“Should we be using Firebase or Google Analytics?” – we get this question a lot regarding tracking behavior in mobile apps.
Even though the older Google Analytics mobile SDKs have officially been deprecated by Google and the analytics reports in Firebase have been rebranded to “Google Analytics for Firebase,” there is still a lot of confusion out there as to which analytics tool is the right one for the job.
The Google Analytics mobile SDKs are technically still supported, and offer traditional reporting methods you’re more likely to be familiar with – but Google Analytics for Firebase has a lot to offer as well, and is considered to be the future of mobile app tracking.
This post aims to help clarify the important differences between the two and provide some suggestions around using each platform.
Primary Differences
Let’s start out with some big-picture differences between the two, in no particular order.
1. Mobile Dev Platform vs Analytics-Specific Tool
The Firebase SDK is actually a mobile development platform, not just a standalone analytics tool. I have brought this up before, but it is important to understand that the analytics reports are just one set of tools in the Firebase platform, designed to integrate with other Firebase tools – such as Cloud Messaging, Cloud Functions, Remote Config, etc.
This is one of the biggest ‘pros’ of Firebase as it allows for very useful integrations with other Firebase products. The new opportunities that these integrations present are essentially why the older Google Analytics SDKs have been deprecated.
2. Unlimited Event Logging Volume vs GA Hit Volume Limits/Costs
Firebase has NO LIMIT to the volume of events you can log. There are limits to the varieties of event names (up to 500 total), but as of now there are no fees for using Firebase for analytics, specifically.
Which leads me to my next point…
3. SLA?
No fees = no support. If an SLA is important to you, you’re out of luck with Google Analytics for Firebase as of now.
4. Reporting and the Data Models
Firebase uses an event-based data model, which results in reporting differences compared to those in traditional Google Analytics. Unlike traditional Google Analytics which has many screenview-oriented reports, in Firebase all reports are user- or event-focused.
In some ways, this can be a good thing – many apps do not really have a concept of a ‘page’ or ‘screen’ and instead revolve around activities the user can complete. It can also be much easier to deal with when doing analysis with BigQuery, for example (yes, there is a BigQuery import available). But for certain businesses, such as publishers for example, this data model might be more challenging to work with or require some getting used to.
There are a lot of differences in the reporting options between these two tools, such as:
No ability to create custom reports or dashboards in the Firebase interface
Limited amount of event parameters (50) can be seen in Firebase reports (plus you have to register them in order to see any, they don’t just appear in your reports)
Limit of 10 conversion events in Firebase (compared to 20 goals per view in legacy Google Analytics for apps)
But – you do get some automated event tracking with Firebase, such as for screenviews! If you’re looking for more differences between the two, you can read my earlier post:

5. Rolling Up Your Data
If you have both an iOS and an Android version of your app, the two would be tracked separately for Firebase. There is currently no option for rolling up data from various types of apps into one data set for reporting purposes – at least not without BigQuery.
You can link your Firebase data to BigQuery, but you may incur storage and querying costs.
Traditional Google Analytics allows you to collect data in one data set (property) if you’d like. This has been one of the primary cases for continuing to use Google Analytics. I have heard many complaints about this, but I am eager to see how Google might solve for this with future improvements to Firebase (not everyone is able to use BigQuery, unfortunately!). My colleague, Samantha Barnes, wrote a great starter guide for rolling up properties in Google Analytics if you’re unfamiliar.

6. Platform Support
Currently, Google Analytics for Firebase is available for iOS, Android, C++ and Unity, specifically – take a look at the documentation here. This support covers most platforms, but not quite all of them.
Consider OTT or “over the top” apps like Amazon Fire TV or Apple TV, for example. Many of these platforms can be configured for iOS or Android, for example, which Firebase supports. But if you’re working with Roku or Adobe AIR, for example, I’m not sure how much luck you’ll have. Just know that there are platforms out there that Firebase does not yet offer support for – so be sure to talk with your development team about this before getting your heart set on anything.
Firebase also does not offer a measurement protocol.
There are certain Firebase products designed for the web (HTML/JS) as well, but analytics is not currently a part of those offerings – so if you’re dealing with a hybrid app or progressive web app, you’ll probably have to get creative.
Still Not Sure?
If you’re still not sure which is the right tool for you, I suggest that you start by creating a game plan – outline each activity in your app and various user-related properties you may want to track for analysis purposes. Think about the data you will want and what type of reports you will need. The more you can start to plan for the analysis, the better idea you’ll have on what you’ll need out of your app tracking tool.
Some additional considerations:
Make sure you talk with your dev team about your particular apps – make sure there is support for them if you want to try Firebase and find out if any of your apps already have tracking set up with the GA SDK, for example. Switching to the Firebase event logging schema would require some work!
Consider whether you may have a need or interest for other Firebase products, even down the road – take a look at the offerings here (many of them are free). Firebase products are designed to be used together, such as to:
send a user a notification with Cloud Messaging to encourage them to re-engage with your app
customize an experience in the app using Remote Config based on certain events or actions the user takes in the app
perform A/B testing with Remote Config
create dynamic user audience lists based on Predictions and machine learning
Getting the Best of Both Worlds
There are a lot of benefits to each platform, so why not take advantage of both? We often do just that.
By installing the Firebase SDK and the Google Tag Manager SDK, you can start collecting data in both the Google Analytics for Firebase reports as well as in traditional Google Analytics (no GA SDK needed). This can be very helpful for a number of reasons:
Maybe you’re not yet comfortable with the reports in Firebase, so you want to have Google Analytics as your ‘back up’ for reporting purposes while you warm up to the event-based data model in Firebase
Maybe the reports you want (custom ones, for example) are simply not yet available in Firebase
Maybe you want an easy way to roll up your iOS & Android data
A hybrid approach using both platforms may provide additional benefits as well. If you wish to try this approach, check out some of our other blog posts on this topic – Getting Started w/Firebase Analytics & Hybrid App Tracking (instructions included in both!).
To further simplify the options, here is a table of what you need based on where you want to do your reporting:
If you want reports in: You should install: Firebase Firebase SDK Google Analytics GA SDK OR GTM SDK BOTH Firebase & Google Analytics Firebase SDK + GTM SDK
