Cyanbug's Redacted Audio Headcanons

(Some of these I might use/did use in fics, but others are just there)

1. Huxley had a bunny growing up. It was potty-trained and very curious about all the flowers his moms' and him would bring into the house. They had to keep the lilies locked away in a different room, to make sure the bunny didn't eat any of them.

2. Babe got a stick and poke tattoo of an outline of a wolf on the lower part of their thigh, as a teen. It wasn't the best, and it's pretty much faded now, but they remember how upset their mom was about it when she found out. They forgot that they couldn't wear shorts or else she'd see.

3. Babe also used to go explore abandoned buildings when they were younger. They mostly went to this one building that used to be an old gristmill, but stopped going there when the roof collapsed after a bad storm. They did it to escape to a place where it was quiet, but sometimes they'd bring a friend along to go exploring. They have a bunch of printed photos from those times.

4. Asher likes to joke with Darlin' that they should serenade Sam by playing "Your Man" by Josh Turner. (baby lock them doors and turn the lights down low-)

5. Smartass was in love with horses as a kid, and would ask for a horse/pony every birthday growing up (they never got one). But they used to collect horse figurines, and still have them in a box somewhere.

6. Asset's favorite board game as a kid was "Chutes and Ladders".

7. For a year or two, David was a social toddler, but at the end of preschool he started to get really shy (nobody really knew why). The only time he seemed to open up was when Asher was around, but was never as social as he once was.

8. Christian likes to go zip-lining and he and Amanda once went on a date to one of those zip-lining and ropes courses.

9. Amanda had braces as a kid, and in her early teens, but she got them off before she headed into high school. She preferred getting neon pink rubber bands.

10. Sam got the chicken pox as a kid (his Grandma mostly took care of him for that week or so when he was sick), and one of the first good things he realized after he got turned into a vampire was that at least he wouldn't have to worry about shingles (or vaccines in general) anymore.

11. Hush doesn't really care for cheese, but whenever Doc gets something that has gooey cheese, they'll let him do the first cheese pull since he likes seeing how far he can get it to stretch. So far he's managed 16 inches with cheesy bread sticks.

12. Aaron likes Neo-Expressionism art.

13. DAVID AND ANGEL GET A CAT. They originally were going to get one after their honeymoon, but then that didn't happen because life got busy again. David thought getting them a cat might be a good [insert holiday] gift, and the two of them could go pick out one at the humane society. But then one day David found a kitten on the street as he was walking by with Milo. The kitten just waddled right up to the two of them and actually seemed to like David. So he takes it home, especially because if Milo were to take it, Aggro would have a problem sharing his people (someone made a headcanon of that awhile ago and I AGREE. Aggro doesn't like to share. He wants to be the one and only best boy. I'll have to find it later. Shout out to whoever thought of it.) And voila. They have a cute little kitten now and are cat parents :D (I have a draft of this storyline, i just haven't finished it)

14. Treasure is really into bats and has been since they were a kid. Their family would always buy them bat stuff as a kid and into adulthood, so they have a lot bat themed things. They also have an old 3rd-grade informative essay, explaining different types of bats, hidden away in a folder. They wanted to be a zookeeper as a kid, specifically so they could take care of the fruit bat exhibit. Porter thought it was ironically funny when he first was invited to their home and the amount of things related to bats (and in correlation, vampires) that they owned.

15. Lovely plays the Sims A LOT (they like to build houses or other buildings the most).

What my listener’s job’s are because I just got done from my first work shift:

Angel - Tattoo artist and piercer (They pierced Asher’s bridge and convinced David to repierce his ears, also gave Milo and Sweetheart matching tattoos behind their ears)

Babe - Boxing Trainer (Milo is one of their clients. David also comes to Babe’s gym and they box every month or so)

Freelancer - Barista (works at an on campus coffee place)

Darlin - Drum Coach. (It’s not an actual business, they just get asked to coach, and then get paid. But they can say no to any offer so it’s a very casual schedule)

Lovely - Used to be a substitute teacher. But is now looking for jobs, and is interested is becoming a bartender.

Asset - wants to be an astronaut (is constantly asking Anton about stars and constellations - he bought them a astronomy book once and it’s their favourite thing ever).

Honey - An accountant.

Sunshine - A lifeguard (and yes, I did this to spite Elliot’s near-death. I thought it was funny when I thought it up)

1980s supercomputer-horror project meridian AU that nobody asked for (marcus still on his bullshit regardless.)

the year was 1979. ETS released their latest supercomputer, the A553-T. It was state-of-the-art, an invention that would revolutionize how computers work forever. 240 million calculations per second. It took the breath out of your lungs- you had never seen anything like it. It perfectly blended form and function- and it was the most dense a computer has ever been, a towering, multiple-sided object in the middle of the room like a heart in a ribcage. Underneath it, a cooling system was installed- a network of pipes and cables and freon like what mycelium was to fungi. As you untangled the system- you found what seemed to be a lump. You tell yourself that it was dust- or some sort of buildup of dirt. But you know what it was. Vessels started to form in the lumps. Maybe you weren't so different from 'it' after all. Meanwhile, your coworker struggled with workplace discrimination due to his heritage, the looming political conflict left a bad taste in everyone's mouths. The same conflict, though, that funded the creation of the object of your affections. (pronoun monolog inspired/ based on a passage from I have No Mouth yet I must Scream)

SPOILERS FOR THE NEW PROJECT MERIDIAN AUDIO

James!

James in the dream is depicted as the man who waited till things got worse. And he showed up as damage control. This means that listeners saw him as such because he couldn't help them, but in the dreams-

He's depicted as a man willing to use another person to help get what he wants that man being Marcus, and the thing he wants is the obsession code. Only it's actually the listener and their powers. however, James couldn't help but want to while the twisted James only helped because he didn't benefit from the situation anymore.

Anton!

okay so firstly my theory of Anton being empowered was true! Awesome work nevs.. lmfao Anton in the real world helped the listener and their sister. He waited for the department to get there and help them. He made them feel safe in the real world. which is why his dream counterpart is the same only unempowered and having an empowered partner

(truly I don't know why this is mentioned. This could be a parallel to James having an unempowered spouse. And how the listener sees their relationship? I don't know about this one lol)

Dream Anton however is a different story. He's unempowered and closed off. In the first few audios, it's mentioned Anton doesn't like sharing information about his personal life.

I would like to say this represents the listener in a way dream Anton knows of a magical world but cannot be in it. much how the listener is only a wall or lock away from being in this magical world as well. So they project this on Anton and they feel safe around him because he reminds them of themselves.

Brian!

truly I believe this is a stand-in for Quinn or their sister. the evidence I have more or so points to the sister, though the listener after Quinn's attack was obsessed with getting their powers because they could've protected her better.

So the asset obsession with Marcus and the need to talk about him all the time could've been a reference to the listener constantly talking about getting their powers and hoping for this idea to work. Brian getting fed up and telling them to stop is like the sister and everyone around them saying there was nothing they could do. even with powers, resulting in them getting upset.

Mark/Marcus!

Mark is the help that the listener enlisted. He was going to help them. the dream was his idea the events and the worsting of said events were his idea. What he hadn't expected probly was how strong the listeners' lanet powers were.

Is actions are morally questionable honestly. The key that is supposed to get them out of the dream was used in the dream as a code. An on-and-off code switch for them if you will entertain the thought. Marcus however was shown as a desperate man who wanted love and placed the asset on a higher level as if they were a god.. Once again if you'll entertain the idea.

However, something I'd like to point out is when the listener takes control with their powers unknowingly; they get rid of Marcus. In their mind he had served his purpose and trying to wake them up was him trying to stop them from unlocking the powers they were using.

Asset!

A character played by the listener a character that confused, used, and abused for the good of a cause but willing to go back for a purpose.. a good purpose to save people they don't know as well as some that used them. Sound familiar? It's the listener, the people they're saving or trying to is the sister in their mind they failed to protect. In this world, they could save her and maybe save them all.

But in the circled is the heart and I believe it represents Mark. In the start both sides are lit up and going fine then Mark starts to worsen the dream and eventually you start to see the gear side of the heart only lit up and even clips of it in the background in different videos.

The gears I believe represent the Asset. the gears being lit up meaning Mark has lost all control.

which is kinda in line with my former theory about this. We watched as the asset lose control of themselves giving into the code.

ASSET IS NOT DARLIN'S UNEMPOWERED FRIEND

this isnt directed at anyone /gen but ive seen people saying that because Asset was attacked by Quinn it must mean that theyre Darlin's friend.

that is. not the case.

Darlin's Friend was attacked by Quinn in 2020, and Darlin was the one who saved their friend, not Anton. Quinn specifically went after this friend as revenge, and seemingly fucked them UP in the process.

if Asset really was Darlin's friend, wouldnt it be enough to assume that their powers would have manifested as a result of that attack? remember, Quinn was out for revenge, so he would have brutalized the friend in order to get his point across.

what im saying is that, if Asset had been the friend, Project Meridian wouldnt have existed. because their powers would have manifested when Quinn mauled them.

AND!! Darlin's friend was never said to have a sister! the sister being part of Quinn's attack against the friend was never mentioned!! thats a big piece of vital information, surely it would have been mentioned by now. but no, there is no mention of the friend having their sister also be attacked.

not to mention, Quinn attacking Asset and their sister takes place in 2023. we know this because its implied that he was locked up shortly after he attacked them. and again, Anton was the one who saved them, not Darlin.

also, Asset and their sister were supposedly attacked in McKinley, while Quinn attacked the friend in Dahlia

ALSO also: i feel like Darlin's friend having been latent would have come up sooner or later???

and AGAIN!! emphasizing that Asset's powers would have manifested as a result of being brutally attacked by Quinn, and they never would have needed to go to Marc in the first place!!!!

tldr; just because someone gets attacked by Quinn and saved by a wolf doesnt make them an aforementioned character.
