My take on what REDACTED de(a)mons look like

I'm very bad at making species sheets, but I decided to try the bare minimum for this one. My favourite is misery :3. I also wanted to assign demons to a star sign, but I didn't know enough about that I decided not to Ignore all spelling mistakes, pretty please, for my sanity (THE COLOR OF A DEMON'S FORM DOES NOT DETERMINE THE COLOR OF SKIN THEY CHOSE TO TAKE ON WITH THEIR HUMAN FORMS) My dumbass forgot about strife and shock demons, but uhh they will be coming soon me thinks

✨how jealous/possessive do i headcanon the listeners to be? ✨

angel: -1000/10 — they aren’t jealous at all, aside from the fact that david is down horrendous for them, he is very direct/blunt about rejecting people especially after he got married. they know they don’t have to worry about a god damn thing (none of the listeners really do, you get what i mean)

baabe: 2.5/10 — they aren’t too jealous, but they know asher being the total sweetheart he is sometimes completely forgets his attractiveness and doesn’t immediately realise he’s being hit on so they have to point it out to him. asher makes a really big show of how married he is though, so they too will be fine1!1!1!

sweetheart: 6/10 — sweetheart is the type to get disgustingly affectionate with milo when they see strangers getting a little too close to comfort. it’s not really from being personally insecure or anything, it’s just what’s theirs is theirs (milo eats it the fuck up). they’re also very aware they bagged a fine piece of ass so

darlin: 1/10 — surprisingly not really that jealous! theyre at a place where they’re fully aware that neither of them are going anywhere unless one of them dies so. in fact it kinda boosts their ego to see him get hit on by other people and then watch him turn them down. (i think if anyone made him uncomfy they’d swing though)

lovely: 7/10 — aside from the fact that lovely has a history of a good thing being taken from the way too soon, vincent and lovely have always been fiercely defensive of each other. i always imagine they crank up the PDA to 12 if anyone tries to hit on either of them.

treasure: 5/10 — they do get jealous, but also often shame themselves for feeling that jealousy. it’s probably from the hyper awareness they have, they know where the jealousy roots from (never really having anybody in their corner) and why they feel it so intensely. they really wish they weren’t like this (porter finds it endearing though, and is arguably worse)

freelancer: - ♾️/10 — i feel like this one’s obvious

dear: 2.5/10 — people tend to think lasko’s easy. and he kinda is! but for them specifically, not just anyone! unfortunately people don’t understand that memo quick enough for their liking. they don’t do much to signal to people he’s taken though, cuz they don’t have to! lasko will fold at them so much as playing with his hair.

starlight: 0/10 — they have literally been to hell together and back, they’re gonna be just fine. avior can be a little jealous/possessive sometimes which they find extremely attractive

honey: 4/10 — rarely admits to it and won’t do anything about it, but they can get jealous from time to time due to them being a little insecure about whether or not they’re in guy’s league/the right fit for them. guy is excellent at reassuring them that they are, and if he detects that they might feel off around anyone he makes the biggest most insufferable show of them to cheer them up

smartass: 5/10 — smartass & aaron perfectly match each others jealousy/possessiveness levels i think, like the other half of this scale goes to him LMAO. smartass occasionally pisses themselves off realising that there’s probably people out there who actually fantasise about having him/want him. they are immediately reassured that he’s not going anywhere by how clingy he gets whenever they get time together.

sweetie (azmidi): 1/10 (there’s a pattern with the d(a)emon’s listeners isn’t there)… — other people couldn’t even dream of being able to handle him. next pls!

warden: 7.5/10 — you will NEVER catch them admitting it, but even sensing others attraction to vega can irritate them a little. they’re aware he looks good, so they try to distract themselves from it, but vega knows and adores it because they’re way worse.

Darlin' listens to Vocaloid songs

Sweetheart, Angel, Baabe, and Sam do "Mate Nights" once a month. It's just them going around town and doing fun stuff together

Honey keeps all of the notes Guy leaves for them when he/they leave for work. They'll never admit it though. Guy accidentally stumbled across them and finds it cute

Freelancer was only popular in middle school because they could make loom bracelets and nothing else.

Warden has a sweet tooth, with strawberry cake being one of their favorite things.

Doc is the only empowered in their family

Sunshine has a prosthetic from the car accident (I'm aware it's a pretty popular HC but I need to spread my truth. I love it so much)

Angel: Washes, folds, and puts away their shared laundry, knowing it takes some of the mental load off of David.

Baaabe: Occasionally shows up at Shaw Security when Asher’s on paperwork duty to bother him. (David doesn’t mind as long as Ash’s paperwork gets done.)

Sweetheart: Loves to act as Milo’s personal paparazzi when they’re going out on the town. Takes tons of photos of him and showers him in praise.

Darlin: Goes on night runs with Sam in their wolf form and shows him new views they find during the day.

Freelancer: Sets up dates in which Gavin gets to try new things like pottery making or a pasta making class.

Dear: Helps Lasko grade papers so they can spend time together doing nothing.

Starlight: Prints out the pictures Avior sends them and puts them together in a photo album.

Treasure: Takes Porter to their favorite hidden grotto and stargaze together. Will occasionally make a flower crown for him. He’s not the Solaire blade with them. Just Porter.

Warden: Preens and grooms Vega’s tail. He flicks it in pretend annoyance, but he actually enjoys it.

Honey: Presses kisses to Guy’s body (hand, shoulder, neck, etc) when they think he’s asleep ((he’s not, but he has to use all of his willpower to stay quiet and calm when Honey gives him so much love))

Baby: Hides Ollie’s favorite chocolates and candies all over the apartment so he has a little delight when he doesn’t expect it.

Flyboy!Baby: Video calls every night when he’s in Dahlia for on-site work. Cooks him dinner every night when he’s home.

Lovely: Finds obscure things from Vincent’s childhood to decorate the new apartment they share. (Records, comic books, pressed and framed local flowers)

Freelancer (platonic): Lays in bed with Caelum and tells him about their experiences with the DAMN crew. Caelum loves knowing that his charge is thriving where they once struggled.

Bestie: Occasionally gives him kisses and reassurance throughout the day. Blake went through so much just for them and he should be rewarded for that.

Cutie: Has a note on their phone full of Geordi’s likes and dislikes. Reminders for themselves. They refuse to use their power on him and instead resort to memorizing what they can and writing down what they can’t.

Love: Grows the herbs that Anton can’t find in the States for his cooking. He claims they taste better when Love grows them for him.

Smartass: Massages and soothes Aaron when he gets home.

Sunshine: Teaches Elliot how to play various card games. Gives him tips on how to get the upper hand on Aaron.

Any time Vega mentions when Hush killed him, Warden flinches a bit.

Vega doesn’t have a heart.

Well. Okay. Daemon’s don’t have beating hearts - to me they don’t, they more so have a physical embodiment of a core - sort of like if you opened up their chests and could see the minor fabrications of the universe, there would be a glowing orb within their weird looking ribs.

Back to Vega - I think a lot of daemon’s who have human partners, friends, or family sort of pretend to have a heart beat. Werewolves can hear it, if you put a finger up to their neck or wrist you would feel it.

But Vega doesn’t do that. Why would he? He was never used to changing himself to make humans more comfortable.

But Warden did, they worked with humans, they were surrounded by them, it’s just what they were used to doing - pretending to have a heartbeat, pretending to be alive in the same way as the rest of them.

So, Vega started doing it too, not even noticing it at first. Only when they touched, maybe when Vega grabbed their wrist to get their attention, maybe when he held their jaw, fingers ghosting past their neck - did he notice theirs. Warden noticed his too. They noticed when they grabbed onto his hand in a panic, or when he’d place a hand to their shoulder to comfort them - the pulse beating through his palm alone. When they traced patterns up his arm to sooth themselves, treating his skin like a physical lullaby. When they rested next to his chest, aching for warmth. They had his heart.

And then he died. And he came back. And Vega didn’t have a heart anymore.

And Warden was stuck with the memory of it - stuck with Vega’s beating heart. The only one who ever knew it. The only one who ever held it. But even Vega didn’t know it. Warden had a heart that started beating for them - whilst Vega couldn’t even remember a time he would ever need one in the first place.
