HC that before Rusty Rose got roboticized (Rogue Rose?) she was actively trying to join the resistance and didn't make it there in time, instead getting snatched by the Chaos Council and turned into a robot before she could meet Rebel and Knux

I would also like to think that New Yolk Sonic (Mach?) did exist and was a good friend of hers, trying to join the resistance too. Maybe he wasn't as fast as regular Sonic but whatever the case he got caught as well. He either 1) became Chaos Sonic or 2) just. Died.

This cinematic sucks, they were already supposed to have been defeated/dealt with to even be able to reach Nemesis per the mechanics of that very chapter!

Unless we're supposed to guess that the cast just beat them/knocked them out and the disappear with Nemesis's death?

I'd still prefer if the game told us Agarthans used some sort of magical pacemaker or micro-chip/weird device Solon has over his eye to animate them, but I guess that's something for the 10k years of lore lol.

something something metal sonic is sonic robotisied from the future theory. what if one time eggman manages to get his hands on sonic and throw him into a robotiser and activates it. he manages to get out of it before it completes the process, and he stumbles out clutching his arm thats no longer flesh. during the heat of the battle he can't really stop and process it, but afterwards, when eggman's been defeated and sonic's finally forced to actually stop and get a good look at it, the first thing he notices is that it looks identical to metal sonic's
