Knightstone Household: Chapter 6, Part 1

I know Silas starts as an infant here when he's a toddler on the Knightstone character page, but that's because I wrote this before I set about taking the photos. *flashbacks of leaving Twitter and finding the clean oceans of Spoutible*

Oh, also, my game is mostly maxis match. I wanted my aliens to look different so you'll see them around with alpha hair.

Paranoid sims, such as Suzanna, are aware they're living in a simulation.

Next up, the Knightstone household aka the aliens. Yes, it is time for me to again do battle with my great nemesis, modular shelving that disappears into household inventory. When I loaded in some plumbing was broken but I am NOT acknowledging it as an omen.

Suzanna is currently level 8 in the scientist career, but wants to reach level 10 as soon as possible so she can set up a portal to visit Sixam. Adam who is still dealing with his anger over being "left behind" in a human just wants to give the aliens a piece of his mind

Silas (who has made me even more obsessed with infants since the alien noises are 10x the normal cute) is a couple of days away from toddlerhood. For now he is a wiggly infant who hates wake up time and pulls the cutest pouts known to human or alien.

Adam: Okay starlight, time to rise and shine

Suzanna: Already?

Adam: Come on, we can't lie here forever

Suzanna: We could try

Adam: I need to make breakfast, the fridge is almost empty

Suzanna: Ever heard of cereal

Adam: Who knows what is in cereal really?

Suzanna gets the last bowl of food while Adam begins to cook. When she is finished she decides now is the time to have a proper conversation, he's more zen when he's cooking.

Suzanna: Adam?

Adam: Yes

Suzanna: I've been thinking, Silas will be a toddler soon

Adam: He will

Suzanna: I want to have another baby

Adam: We've talked about this

Suzanna: I know you don't want kids

Adam: It's adding to the alien agenda

Suzanna: We don't know if there is any alien agenda

Adam: How could there not be? They force humans to carry us to term

Adam: They are slowly building up our numbers here

Suzanna: Even if they are we don't know why

Adam: We know whoever is in charge is fine with leaving babies. Fine with having them figure out how to be aliens alone, on a world that constantly tries to uncover them

Suzanna: I know how we grew up hurts you

Adam: Shunted to the foster home by fathers who were ashamed to carry us, yes it hurts

Suzanna: But you can't let that hurt define us, dictate what we can do with our lives

Adam: Having another kid when we don't even know why we're here?

Suzanna: No answer will make the hurt go away, and our kids will have both of us to help understand

Adam: You're determined

Suzanna: I am. We made Silas together, you and me, and sure he's not perfect but no kid is

Adam: Hold on I never said Silas isn't perfect

Suzanna: He always wakes up grumpy though

Adam: Like someone else I know

Suzanna: Fair point. You may not have wanted him but you loved him as soon as you saw him

Adam: Meaning?

Suzanna: They have ultrasounds now

Adam: I'm not following

Suzanna: You can see them sooner

Adam: You think sooner exposure will help my feelings?

Suzanna: I believe so

Adam: I can't pretend I'll be happy about it before they're here

Suzanna: You are brooder in chief

Adam: You want to have another one so soon though?

Suzanna: I don't want a giant age gap between them

Adam: Okay, we can try. I never want you to be unhappy

Suzanna: I know, have I told you I love you today?

Adam: You tell me everyday Starlight

Suzanna: Okay I gotta have a shower before Silas wakes up, see you in a bit

Adam: *to self* your love keeps me sane

Suzanna spends some time just watching Silas before he wakes up, enjoying the sound of his soft snores. It's not long though, as Silas soon wakes up and does indeed wake up grumpy.

Suzanna: Hello there starshine, are we having another bad morning?

Silas: *frowns*

Adam throws on his disguise before heading out for his morning run while Suzanna does her best to comfort Silas. His smile is very temporary this morning however, so after he bursts into tears again Suzanna decides the best thing to do is get on with their routine

Quick change, where the heck did the helicopter come from? Quick cuddle, then breakfast time. Silas has tried two finger foods so far and this morning Suzanna will introduce him to the third.

Suzanna: These are banana chips starshine

Silas: Nana?

Suzanna: Banana

Silas: Ba na na

Suzanna: Yes Silas that's right!

Silas: Ba nana ba nana

Suzanna: You have to put it in your mouth now, come on, open up

After the first taste Silas enthusiastically tucks in, somehow smearing his face with gunk despite the food being solid, infants are mysterious

Suzanna: Time to go to the garden, let's get you clean

Silas: Mummy, plants mummy?

Suzanna: Yes! Plants. Here come the bubbles!

Silas: *giggles*

Suzanna: Is that fun? Did you have fun?

Silas: Fun! Mummy fun, pops fun

Adam: That's my son!

Adam needs to level up in writing before his next promotion so after finishing his daily column he fits in some practice. In the backyard Suzanna is busy tending to her garden with Silas in the back carrier. Silas approves of this and happily babbles away to her while she works.

Suzanna: Whoops, we're a bit late for lunch starshine, better just have a bottle

Silas: Banana

Suzanna: Not right now. Milk. Mmmilk

Silas: Mmmilk

Suzanna: That's a good boy, drink up

Silas: Mmmilk yum yum

Suzanna: Yeah, can you finish it all?

Silas: *guzzles*

Suzanna gives Silas a burp only to find out he's still in his happy spitter phase. Some of the milk makes a quick exit out the way it went in.

Silas: urped

Suzanna: It's okay Silas, everyone has burped before, even us aliens

Silas: Bet her

Suzanna: You feel better now?

Suzanna: Would you like to play or nap?

Silas: *smiles*

Suzanna: Can we use our words, huh?

Silas: plap

Suzanna: Glad we cleared that up, I think it's nap time though

Suzanna starts another round of her nonsense story. It may not make sense but Silas doesn't know that.

Suzanna uses the time Silas is napping to work with the microscope. She has most of the prints (from plants, fossils, gems) but still needs to earn ones from general microscope use. She has already maxed her logic skill so this is just because she's a geek

Adam: Damn, you do look so cute sleeping

Silas: *yawns*

Adam: Another you wouldn't be so bad really, I just worry so much when your mummy is pregnant

Silas: *stretches*

Adam: Hey sleepy, I'm home

Silas: Pop home

Adam: Yeah son, did you have a good nap

Silas: *is grumpy*

Adam: It's okay buddy, it's okay, pops loves you

Silas: pop pop

Adam: Okay it smells like diaper change time

And in the age of equality Adam also gets peed on (Suzanna caught it last time).

Adam: Okay what shall we do for fun

Silas: Fun fun

Adam: Toy? Story? Game?

Eventually Silas manages to communicate that he wants a story.

Adam: The blue birds were worried. They hadn't expected their baby to be pink but they knew they still loved their baby. They did all the things parent birds do. The baby was fed, the baby was warm, the baby was loved.

Villareal Household: Chapter 3, Part 5

Baby shower time!

Luna takes some time to admire her baby bump in the mirror. It's bizarre to think two tiny lives are coexisting inside her. She does a quick costume change before the baby shower starts and takes some time to cuddle with Devin.

Luna: All friends?

Devin: Friends, family, no enemies

Luna: Perfect

The guests arrive and the baby shower can begin. We have Luna's brothers Hugo, Max, and Max's new wife Miriam. Devin's parents Calista and Aaron, as well as siblings Joey, Kelly, Deanna, and her girlfriend Paris. Old friends Charlie and Cassandra are invited with their spouses Kaori and Rahul.

Miriam: We missed you at Jacques funeral

Luna: I didn't want to go and pretend to grieve

Miriam: I get it, he was a jerk to Max too. Oh, I got you a gift

Luna: Really?

Miriam: Something small

Luna: Blocks. Thank you

Miriam: Just one set but they can share right

Luna: I'm sure they will

Paris: Babe those clothes look so good on you

Deanna: Thank you for helping pick them, I do not get fashion

At last the party draws to a close and everyone heads home in the rain.

The two have a quick bit of shut eye. There is some clipping but I think Luna changed trimesters mid nap

Luna: We got gold for the party

Devin: Yes indeed, did you expect us to get any less

Luna pulls Devin into a passionate embrace

Devin: Woah, careful, you're pregnant

Luna: Pregnant sims can still kiss

Devin: Yes you can but mmm, maybe go easy on the dips

Luna: I'm just showing my soulmate I love her

Devin: Hello in there, maybe consider not attacking the body that's busy nurturing you

The Villareal rotation is finished. I've paused Luna's pregnancy so you may see her waddling around in the background of other storylines as she will be stuck in her third trimester until I play their household again. Do I have the weird urge to apologise to her for the discomfort? Yep

Villareal Household: Chapter 3, Part 4

Devin and Luna visit their doctor, before Devin plays a doctor in her guest star role on Residency of the Heart.

Luna: Thank you for having an after hours clinic

Dr: Well babies never stick to work hours so why should we. Will your wife be joining us?

Luna: Oh she's already in the office, we're so excited

Dr: Glad to hear it. Always helps when both parents are in sync Luna: Pretty sure our hearts beat in sync

Dr: Lie down and we can start the ultrasound

Devin: This is so exciting

Dr: Before we get started are you wanting to know the sex?

Luna: Yes please Dr. We're already thinking of too many names. It would be nice to narrow our selection

Devin: If only by half

Dr: I know what you mean

Devin: You don't let paparazzi in here do you?

Dr: Rest assured Mrs Villareal, all your records will be kept private and confidential

Luna: It would be nice to tell people ourselves

Dr: Now you know your baby will be an individual right? What sex appears on the ultrasound will not necessarily fit

Devin: We're part of the queer community, we get it

Luna: He's just being thorough schatz

Dr: The gel will be cold but you shouldn't have any pain. What trimester are you?

Luna: First trimester. Will you be able to find-

Dr: Don't worry, I've been doing this for a long time, just relax back for a sec

Dr: There we are. Now this machine can be buggy but I can see both of your boys. Congratulations, you're having twins

Devin: Twins?

Luna: Boys?

Devin: Will they be identical?

Dr: This technology can't tell unfortunately but you'll know when they get here

Luna: And they look okay? The right size?

Dr: Development looks normal for both. Now, have you thought about your birth plan?

Devin: We were busy just trying to get pregnant

Dr: No problem, take our information booklets and consider the options. Call us when you have an idea and we can get the ball rolling

Luna: Thank you

Dr: Happy to help

At breakfast the next morning the couple start to narrow down name ideas.

Devin: I would like a nod to some of the great artists in film

Luna: Such as

Devin: Cary, James, Clark, Alfred

Luna: I veto James, I knew a bad James

Devin: What names are in your head

Luna: Some literary names of course

Devin: Not Heathcliff

Luna: How about Edward

Devin: Not like Cullen right

Luna: No, like Rochester. Or we could pick a name from Narnia like Edmund

Devin: Didn't he fall for the white witch's trap?

Luna: He redeemed himself. Or there's Diggory, Caspian, Rilian

Devin: Puddleglum

Luna: OMG imagine

Luna: I'm craving something sweet

Devin: Pancakes aren't sweet

Luna: Blame the boys

Devin: Okay let's go

Luna: Go where

Devin: There's a small sweet shop by the park

The pair fetch some sweets for Luna but upon arriving home Luna is hit by nausea. Guess 7am chocolate cake isn't always the best idea?

9am sharp Devin reports to the studio for her guest role on Residency of the Heart. Once again it appears multiple groups are using the stages. Devin wastes no time getting into hair, makeup and costume as soon as she can. It appears they're not a requirement anymore but Devin takes her craft seriously.

All dressed up Devin goes to practice her lines with Anaya. Devin was paying extra attention to the hospital staff during the ultrasound appointment. TV drama may not be reality but Devin wants to do her best at appearing as a serious character instead of plain comic relief for the other actors.

Before filming starts Devin checks on Connor. Good thing she did as he is feeling very uncomfortable. Devin takes time to reassure him the blonde looks fine and that the audience won't think less of him for not sticking to his natural colour. A pep talk seems to be just what the doctor ordered.

The first scenes to shoot are the patient ones. Anaya and Devin steady themselves before springing into action. The patient Anaya is playing seems to be trouble and tries to refuse lifesaving treatment. Luckily Devin manages to outwit her objections and the treatment is delivered just in time.

Next up are the romance scenes with Connor. He's shaken off his uncomfortableness and is a great acting partner. The script has Devin as the instigator of the romance so she channels her most charming self. At the end she and Connor grab a quick selfie to celebrate a job well done.

The studio becomes hushed as Devin gathers herself for her character's death scene. She takes a deep breath, thinking of how she would feel to die before seeing her babies, and the guilt at leaving Luna alone. As she falls to the ground and waits to hear cut she is sure she hears a few sniffles.

Norah: CUT

Devin: Phew

Norah: That's a wrap everyone

Devin: Did I do okay?

Norah: You were a star today Devin, everyone was impressed

Devin: Thanks, good luck with the editing

When Devin arrives home she's on a high from a job well done. She decides to do a house expansion for Luna and their boys.

Devin takes care of some chores and works on upgrading the showers so they will break less often. Luna arrives home feeling super confident, as she should. Luna has been promoted and decides to go down the professor path. She loves learning and this feels like the best way to carry on.

Luna: What happened to our house

Devin: I expanded, we couldn't exactly fit twins before

Luna: Aww, look at our wedding photos

Devin: Are you crying

Luna: I'm hormonal okay

Devin: Understood. Do you like it

Luna: You gonna give me the tour

Devin: First stop is the bedroom

Luna: *giggles*

Devin: You have the vacation days

Luna: I know but I just got promoted

Devin: Exactly, they'll expect you to have time to celebrate

Luna: You know I'm a workaholic

Devin: But a baby shower would be a great chance to see everyone, we haven't seen your brothers since before Jacques died

Luna: Right

Luna: Hi, yes this is Mrs Villareal. I will need someone to cover my lecture tomorrow

Devin: Yes!

Luna: Yes the notes are all prepared and colour coded. Right in the middle of my desk.

Devin: You're so damn smart Lu

Luna: Shh! No, no, not you. You've been a great help. Thank you. Yes I'll rest up.

That evening Devin works on adding mobiles to the cribs while Luna stress bakes.

Devin: What are you making

Luna: Marshmallow squares, we need enough food for tomorrow

Devin: I don't think eating is a requirement for baby showers

Luna: I'm always hungry at the moment so how could it hurt?

The pair settle on the spare bed and Luna begins to read to the twins inside her

Devin: Lu the book is upside down

Luna: I know that and you know that but you don't have to tell them

Devin: *chuckles*

Luna: Once upon a time there was a mall dinosaur

Devin: Small

Luna: Right, upside down reading here

The women work their way through the book, taking turns to read aloud to their boys

Luna: They're going to love the voices you use

Devin: I hope so, they will be my harshest critics

Luna: They'll love you, hear that boys! You'll love your mama

Devin: *giggles* Their mummy needs sleep

Villareal Household: Chapter 3, Part 3

Devin films Dignity & Decorum, improves her work connections, and checks out the local gym with her siblings.

When possible, Devin likes to practice her romance scenes with Luna. By acting through it with someone she is attracted to, she can more easily bring the emotions through in her final performance. They do standard romance then a horror scene just in case any vampires rock up in Dignity & Decorum.

Ever the multi tasker, Devin is livestreaming her morning run when she gets a pop up to inform her she is now a 3 star celebrity. Skipping auditions here we come! When she gets back home she finds the washing line has broken so despite her fame she does the menial task or repairing it.

Before the filming she piles together as many positive moodlets as I can think of. Still having time she works on some of her knitting projects. Looks like she has chosen to start work on hanging pot plants between rotations. Eventually we are whisked to set and I guess many things are filming?

Rudolphus: I knew you could get this part

Devin: Thank you. Do you know what else is filming today?

Rudolphus: Beats me, you're the only one who ever seems to come to hair and makeup

Devin: Really?

Rudolphus: I guess everyone else arrives camera ready

Devin: Is that a polite way of saying I run late

Rudolphus: No I- what have you done to your hair

Devin: I just got some extensions

Rudolphus: At least the stylist half knew what to do, we're going to have to wig you

Devin: My hair won't like fall out or turn green will it

Rudolphus: No but best not stress the hair. New person in wardrobe today, Emily

Devin: It's Emily right?

Emily: We have work to do, on the platform

Devin: Right, can do. How's your day going?

Emily: Hmm, have to adjust that, that won't fit her colour at all

Devin leaves the woman to talk to herself and measure her with an invisible tape measure until finally she is able to twirl into costume.

Devin: Hey Norah

PA: Do not disturb the director miss

Norah: She's a Mrs and she's my friend

PA: Make it quick, we have a schedule

Devin: She seems fun

Norah: *laughs* she is dedicated. We don't have the stage for another hour though so feel free to grab some food and meet the rest of the crew

Trusting Norah's advice Devin approaches the food. She makes sure to introduce herself to the production crew who seem new when she spots a familiar face.

Devin: Girl I did not recognise you in that get up

Clea: How far we have come from Critters days

Devin: Commemorative selfie?

Clea: You know it

At last Norah announces filming is ready to start and Devi has another quick word with her director before heading on to stage. After having some time to centre herself she launches into her monologue. She takes some risks with it and gets nods of approval from behind the camera, success is hers.

Next up are her romance scenes with Clea. The two have worked together for several years so are accustomed to bouncing off each other. An oddly dressed actor and producer refuse to clear the set, staging a sit in on the lounge furniture. Norah assures Devin they can cut around the sims.

Finally Devin has some argument scenes to complete with Mina, another old friend. The two trade insults, apparently no one comes to blows on this show. Norah yells a final CUT and production wraps for this episode.  Devin receives positive feedback and gets well paid for her work.

You know how normally if a couple sits down to eat in Sims 4 and you direct them to interact they'll get up and do a hug or kiss on the cheek before talking? Luna's style is to get up and do a passionate kiss with Devin and it's so cute! Never had a couple had that as their default before.

Devin is able to skip auditions now thanks to her fame points but before her next acting gig she has to work on her work relationships. She invites over her director Norah, and her co stars. She has already met Connor but Anaya is a new introduction. Anaya seems unimpressed with Devin's home but Norah smooths things over

Once Anaya relaxes enough to jam on Devin's guitar, Devin takes the opportunity to do some knitting and have a proper catch up with Norah. While they're busy discussing how the traditional actor/actress categories should be reshaped to support non-binary sims in their industry Anaya has a dance.

Once the catch up draws to a close Devin takes care of Luna's flowers when suddenly

?: Mrs Villareal! Mrs Villareal! Over here!

Devin is shocked to see a paparazzi sim staking out her house and sporting her old haircut to boot. Initially she ignores the sim but they eventually invade her yard.

At last the sim leaves and Devin takes to social media to scold anyone who tries to mess with people in their own homes. Soon enough Luna is home and Devin rants and raves about the paparazzi. Luna is used to her wife's complaints and knows the best thing she can do initially is just listen to her problems without trying to solve them.

Devin offers to cook dinner tonight while Luna tries again to find some family connections online. No luck in that department so far, she may have to question her brothers again. After dinner Luna does more grading in her portfolio while Devin improves her comedy skill by writing some jokes.

The next day Devin arranges to meet Joey at the gym since she knows fitness is not his favourite. Deanna also decides to tag along, and so do two member of the paparazzi

Devin: Hey De, nice to see you again so soon

Deanna: What's up with the paparazzi

Devin: They know stars frequent this gym

Joey: Doesn't that one have your old haircut

Devin: guess I'm a trendsetter now to

Joey: Hey, you think I could get that one's number?

Devin: Coral is married to Don

Joey: Don Lothario? Do we trust he's not already stepping out on her?

Deanna: What makes you think she'd like you

Joey: I'm charming with an attractive face

Devin gets into her regular routine, taking time to wave at the paparazzi between sets. Joey tries to impress Coral but her camera is firmly fixed on his older sister. Deanna has disappeared and I discover she's gone to fan girl and faint over Cassandra. Like you know her personally Deanna, why???

Devin wraps up her workout at which point Deanna has awakened. Joey keeps pushing on the machine while Devin checks on her. Devin then goes over to the fans who have come to the gym, signs a few autographs and takes a few selfies.

Devin then heads off alone to Ward park to do a livestream in nature. She fires up her drone then starts to sing while playing her guitar. I don't think any acting gigs require singing so far but there are ones that she needs high guitar skill for. Some sims show up to see her play and tip well.

Before heading home Devin gets set for pictures. The drone thinks he has the best camera but nevertheless fans use their phones for selfies and the paparazzi use their giant handheld cameras.

Luna gets back from work and does her daily pregnancy test (If you haven’t tried the Childbirth Mod by Pandasama you should). Today she is shocked to discover that the mods have worked. She has managed to get pregnant with Devin's child! No father required in sim world.

Devin: You're smiling awfully big, what are you up to

Luna: You mean what are we up to

*shows test*

Devin: Wait, does this mean what I think

Luna: Yeah baby, we're pregnant!

Devin: OMW yes! Oh Lu I knew you could do it, low fertility be damned

Luna: Our next chapter is starting, we did it together

The couple embrace and take a moment to stare at the test while they adjust to their new reality. Luna was the one always dreaming of a kid but Devin is so darn excited about this pregnancy. She gets a baby with Luna without having to go through the physical changes herself, winner scenario.

Chopra Household: Chapter 3, Part 2

Infants Savannah and Mercedes are adorable harbingers of chaos. Follow along as the twins get the better of me and I lose my mind over playmats. Despite this lots of cute infant shots.

Twin management powers activate! Rahul feeds Mercedes while Cassandra does the dishes. Mercedes is then passed to Cassandra for a diaper change. Savannah is picked up by Rahul and has some cheer up time after waking up sad. Disaster strikes! Mercedes has loosed her bladder wildly dousing Cassandra.

Rahul feeds Savannah who then spits up over him, everyone is messy now, parent life. Cassandra has managed to tame the pee disaster and puts Mercedes in her crib. Rahul then passes Savannah to Cassandra who will change her diaper since she's already pee doused.

Rahul kisses Mercedes good night and tries to soothe her to sleep. Cassandra is having a really bad diaper change experience with Savannah. Rahul ends up putting on a lullaby as Mercedes is having lots of trouble falling asleep. When Savannah is clean he puts her to bed and also starts her lullaby.

Cassandra: Who knew something so small could have such a large bladder

Rahul: If you're thinking of having a shower I might join you

Cassandra: Is that so

Rahul: Showering together could save time

Cassandra: Better try it then

And at last both infant girls are sleeping soundly in their cribs.

A grand total of 2 hours later Mercedes decides sleeping is boring. Rahul feeds her while Cassandra does some pumping, then leaves her on the playmat. Next up he feeds Savannah. Cassandra gets to the nursery and starts some tummy time with Mercedes. Cue the crying.

Savannah breaks from tradition and burps some bubbles. Cassandra is still working with a crying Mercedes when Rahul tries having tummy time with Savannah, she also cries because growing up is hard. Milestone music! Mercedes lifted her head! Savannah may look like she is but it doesn't count.

Okay let's try this sleep thing again. Both girls tucked in, lullabies playing. Parents are almost fully rested. Surprise! Intense Mercedes has the Early Riser quirk. Guess we're getting up at 6am so that she doesn't disrupt her sister’s sleep.

Super dad Rahul swoops in and scoops up an angry Mercedes for safekeeping. She is unsure about the back carrier at first, why is she staring at her fathers head? Rahul begins cooking breakfast and chatters away to her. Eventually Mercedes relaxes and begins looking about her in wonderment.

Rahul grabs some breakfast without skipping a beat. After showering Cassandra goes to the coop to feed and clean. I want to apologise in advance to these chickens for the lack of interaction today as shortly after sim lunch time everything will go sideways.

Mercedes gets fed right as Cassandra goes to grab breakfast.

Mercedes: *burps*

Cassandra: How is it that they even burp cute?

Rahul: It certainly makes up for the wailing

Cassandra: You wouldn't wail would you honey?

Mercedes: *smiles*

Rahul: You don't want to comment huh?

Cassandra: No cooing yet

It's meant to be Family Day today (my game version of mothers/fathers day) so Cassandra refuels and organises family lunch. Rahul changes Mercedes diaper which is close to blow out. He puts Mercedes down for a nap and changes Savannah. Not quick enough for Cassandra not to notice the smell though.

Cassandra: What was that smell? Was it you?

Rahul: No it wasn't this cherub, was it?

Savannah: *coos*

Cassandra: Well done honeybee! You coo away

Rahul: tickle, tickle, tickle

Savannah: *coos*

Cassandra: Have you done breakfast

Rahul: Only for Mercedes so far

Cassandra: Mama can fix that, can't I honeybee

Savannah happily guzzles down her morning milk, and manages not to spit any back up! Cassandra needs to pump so puts Savannah on the playmat. Savannah looks at the toys, considers them, then, grabs! She reached her arm out and did it! Cassandra is super impressed with her progress today.

Meanwhile Rahul takes time to go jogging. Getting some time away from the house is important, as is basking in nature. He still misses Henford-on-Bagley but Willow Creek isn't terrible. He almost collides with Agatha, does no sim look where they're going?

After a hug and a kiss it's time for another new milestone for Savannah, her first bubble bath! You know she needs it after her stinky diaper situation this morning. I love the little seat the infants get put in. Would have loved to see them in the sinks but bath is a good runner up option.

Rahul opens a gift before the guests arrive. He got plants seeds which suit him fine. Savannah tries to nap and what do you know, she's a Self-Soother! I put the lullabies station on just to make sure no one turns on metal and disturbs her. Casandra is happy her little brother Milton is here.

Mortimer hasn't shown up, he doesn't put much stock in public holidays. Everyone else is getting along swimmingly though, including the chickens! All the joy gives me a massive false sense of security, the clam before the storm. Things are going to hit the fan, by which I mean glitch to hell.

Things start to go downhill when Mercedes wakes up, furious that there are visitors having fun without her. Cassandra tries to give her a clean diaper but Mercedes releases her bladder at the wrong time, pee everywhere again. I manage to get a shot of Savannah reaching so maybe it's not a bad omen.

Cluckton and I are furious at the glitchy hokey pokey that follows.

🎵You put the infant down, you pick the infant up, you put the infant down and glitch it all about!🎶Four sim hours later and you want to ducking cry, that's what it's all about 🎵

Everyone's motives drop to new depths

Things start to get back on track at 11pm sims time. Those playmats are banished to the household inventory. Cassandra gives Savannah a bottle, a cuddle, and puts her to bed. Savannah laughs for the first time! I think it's in response to peek-a-boo and hour earlier? Me and Cassandra have lost track.

Last but not least Mercedes gets a nighttime feed and cuddle. I don't have pictures, but it took forever to get her to sleep. I'm talking a lullaby and kiss did not work. Rahul had to bust out a second lullaby and try soothing her to sleep. At last she closes her eyes and I can say the day is over!

Mercedes wakes up at 5am the next morning and poor baby is not happy. She's angry at waking up and still feels pretty tired. I'm so sorry little ladybug, I'm going to do my best to give you a better day, promise!

Papa Rahul comforts Mercedes and gives her a clean diaper. Then it's time for Mercedes to have her first bubble bath. She has just as much fun as her sister, enchanted by the rubber duck and freezer bunny sponge. Bubbles make everything better, right?

Cassandra wakes up feeling extra gloomy as she had a horrible family day. While she dejectedly pumps Cluckton goes and confirms that Savannah is now a spoiled egg. Cassandra trudges through the house, and is saddened seeing the stink cloud. No choice, she has to wake Savannah up to change her.

Knightstone Household: Chapter 6, Part 4

With Silas finally being a toddler, I can go back to joining Suzanna at work for fun and shenanigans.

Whoops. Looks like Suzanna was trying to sleep in, but early riser Silas does not think that's a good idea. I thought he might wake her up by babbling to her but no, looks like he is going to cry her awake instead.

Suzanna: Starshine are you okay? come have a hug

Silas: Mummy

Since Adam was up he ushers Silas to have breakfast so Suzanna can get ready for work.

Silas: Pop pop sing

Adam: I don't sing, I have no singing skill

Silas: I sing

Adam: Can you eat first dude

Silas: la la ba la la fo de do de do

Adam: Few more handfuls son, come on

Adam is writing his morning column when he hits level 7 writing skill. He is doing an excellent job at work so now that he meets the requirements, will today be a promotion day for him? Silas spends some time playing on the couch then we follow Suzanna to the lab.

Suzanna has random tasks today. After viewing a piece of art she has to do some invention brainstorming and whip up a few serums. Then she needs to mind control workers to change outfits (we choose athletic wear today) and spends most of the afternoon on the microscope.

When Suzanna arrives home it appears Silas has a full hunger bar. This makes it only too easy for him to sing to his parents as they eat.

Adam: Great news, I am now a Chief Critic

Suzanna: Congrats. What does that mean?

Adam: More respect and a higher salary for starters

Something in the lounge/dining/kitchen area is annoying Adams squeamish side but do you think I can find what it is? No.

(Future me here again, pretty sure it's the frogs that are making him squeamish, but we are displaying our collections Adam so deal with it)

So I send him off for a run while Suzanna offers to teach some shapes to Silas. In this moment he levels up socially and can now talk!

If only sims could sit down to teach blocks

Suzanna: That is a cube

Silas: The block is a queue be

Suzanna: Each side of the cube is a square

Silas: A square is a side of the queue be

Suzanna: You got it starshine!

Silas: A queue be has squares

The next morning Silas has some play time in the backyard. Adam has successfully prevented abductions for the day so does some painting.

Silas: Chugga chugga vroom vroom

Adam: Don't run me over son

Silas: Beep beep *pushes horn*

Guess who forgot to fix the plants? Still me. At least Suzanna can finish pretty quickly and get some time in with Silas before work.

Silas: Mummy, give hug

Suzanna: What a wonderful hugger you are

Silas: You the hugger

Suzanna: mwah mwah mwah

Silas: *giggles* mummy funny

Suzanna: Larain? Why are you here?

Larain: They said it was an open day so we thought it would be fun to visit

Suzanna: Just make sure you keep your disguises on, my co workers haven't seen actual aliens before

Larain: But they see you everyday Suzanna: Not looking purple

Larain: Don't worry, we're blending in experts

Suzanna: If you say so. Hey, since you're here, would you mind testing my serum

Larain: No problem, us aliens must stick together

Suzanna: Shh, here comes Faye, total non believer

Larain: I'll be cool. But maybe I'll be cool over there

Faye: Damn tourist days, I'd rather aliens

Suzanna: Really?

Faye: I'm kidding, aliens don't exist

Suzanna: You sure?

Faye: Maybe there could be like space gnomes though

Suzanna: Space gnomes?

Faye: Just think about it, logic tracks, small green men

Suzanna takes some time to study the stars, there's plenty of prints she has yet to unlock. When she heads back downstairs there's just 1 tourist left

Suzanna: Sorry, I forgot your name

M-something: It's okay, I forget my human name all the time

Suzanna: Tell me about it

Suzanna: Were you looked after today

Silas: Pop pop fun, we play

Suzanna: That's great. Can you guess what mummy did today

Silas: Save world

Suzanna: Almost. I talked to some other aliens

Silas: Other aliens?

Suzanna: There's more than just you me and pops here

In the morning Silas has plenty of time playing before he is caught for breakfast

Adam: Slide down son

Silas: Pops, other aliens, how many?

Adam: I don't know

Silas: A zillion?

Adam: More like a dozen

Silas: Dozen?

Adam: Some handfuls here

Silas: Hands full of breakfast?

Suzanna spends her last day of work this week doing the regular tasks. Mix up some serums (with varying results), analyse some fruit, and of course brainstorm for a bit on the invention constructor. Can't forget to mind control the workforce either.

Suzanna manages to get three coworkers into their party outfits. We just ignore the moral implications of mind control I guess?

Faye: Man my party outfit is so comfy

Nalani: I know what you mean

Faye: I just got this urge to change

Nalani: Why shouldn't we have causal Friday?

Suzanna decides to not use her coworkers as test subjects today. She has unlocked a serum called Fixer's Luck that may improve her handiness skill so for accurate results we'll have to drink it ourselves. Bottoms up! Results in three, two one...

Uh oh, science fail. Suzanna now has a sad moodlet titled "Can't fix my heart. My achy breaky heart. This is not the time to be romantic." Why do I find this so funny? Clearly Suzanna will have to step up her serum testing game to find more written gems.

Sad Suzanna decides since she has finished her mandated tasks, she'll spend the afternoon outside the lab. All our digging and we only have 1 new collectable. She checks the alien crater and finds a Blue Slug which she already has, so sends the little guy back to Sixam. If only creatures of her size could be sent back as easily.

Back home and the sad moodlet is still there

Silas: Why you sad mummy?

Suzanna: I had some bad serum

Silas: I'll sing after I finish sand mich

Suzanna: Thank you starshine, that'll help

Silas: I great at help, pops says I charming

Suzanna: You are a little charmer

Silas: You listen mummy

Suzanna: I'm listening

Silas: La la lu la, ru rah ru rah, stars are fun fun, alien fun fun, I a star, la la lu la, ru rah ru rah

Suzanna: Did you make that up all by yourself?

Silas: Yes! I sing star

Suzanna: You are so imaginative starshine

Adam: Did I hear the sound of a superstar

Silas: Pops I sing. Make mummy happy

Adam: Are you okay starlight

Suzanna: I will be, just had a bad serum

Adam: What happened to getting the workforce to test them

Suzanna: I can't give it to them every time, the testing won't register

Adam: Great job making mummy happy my dude. It's always nice to cheer up a sad girl

Suzanna: Or a sad boy

Adam: Right. Boys can get sad to

Silas: I sad after potty accident

Adam: Exactly, and that's okay to be sad about

Suzanna: He needs sleep, can you read a story?

We have arrived at the end of the Knightstone rotation. Silas is now level 2 at potty hooray for being able to try by himself! No pregnancy yet for these two, much to Adam's relief and Suzanna's disappointment, maybe next time we check in with the aliens...
