What is each Belcher's + Teddy's episode where they are so annoying, so obtuse, so wack that it seriously makes you want to shake them + the writers?
Oh I LOVE this question! Thank you so much!
The one that IMMEDIATELY came to mind is "Yes Without My Zeke" (S9E22) where the kids go to school on a Saturday to prevent Zeke from being sent to a disciplinary school. Tina the ENTIRE episode is so reluctant to help Zeke, because she wants Jimmy J to spend more time with her. Despite the fact that Zeke is nothing but consistently lovely to her, whilst JJu treats her terribly. It grates me to my absolute core, the stubbornness. Treating her white knight dirty.
The second is "Bob Actually" (S7E9) where Louise tries to help Regular Sized Rudy get a kiss off Chloe Barbash. This whole plot, leaves an unsavoury taste in my mouth. Chloe is so very clearly not interested in Rudy, Louise even knows that herself. So instead of telling Rudy that he's being manipulated, she threatens Chloe to kiss him. Bruh. What? Bruh. Ain't it, I don't like it whatsoever (rip). Then the sympathy kiss felt so out of character (don't hate me I know that moment is treasured by many and I fully respect that, I just don't agree😅)
Third is "Bed, Bob, and Beyond" (S9E13) a valentines episode where the kids each take turns telling the story of a British princess and a tour guide, to cheer up Bob and Lin who are arguing over Bob's piles of dirty laundry on the floor, and him saying it's "more romantic" to just ignore it. Bob. Come on. Wtf. His stance this entire episode, just. What? Nah. Bobby. We don't move like that.
Fourth is "Gene It On" (S4E20), in this episode Gene becomes a cheerleader. Once Linda finds out she becomes obsessive and smothering. It's very sweet and with good intent but it feels so smothering.
Last of the Belchers, ironically, Gene took me over 24 hours to think of an answer for, otherwise I could've answered this within the hour you sent it haha! Anyway last is Spa-turday, this one is more about the writing I think. I know Gene loves Linda so much, and how he was purposely supposed to be clingy. But, I don't know, I just find it mid. This behaviour is repeated in "Gene's Christmas Break" (S12E10) when he initially refuses his family's attempt at replacing the broken record, which makes it slightly less annoying because it gives more context of his process.
And Teddy. Blorbo. Ha! Well, funnily enough I actually find Teddy very annoying in general across the board! Which makes this hard to answer. But it would have to be S13E15 "The Show (And Tell) Must Go On", I think it is this episode where Teddy has a panic over impressing Kathleen and goes as far as to almost breaking up with her completely. Like bro. GAD fam I get it. I get the fear. But fkn come ON. You absolutely mugged yourself off for Dian or Denise or whatever your ex wife's name was. How you gonna almost break up with a woman that likes you for who you are because you're so anxious about impressing her? NO! Stop it!
I hope this made sense I'm high
