I didn't have the time to find the cite when I posted and didn't know that I would, but I had the time this morning and since I love citations so much, here they are.

At SDCC19, Bob Singer was asked about one of the boys having a permanent love interest.

Bob said in response, "One of them, might. Might. I don't think we’ll see it come to any fruition. But maybe just a-a hint of it. " Which we know was Eileen when s15 eventually aired.

The purpose of Eileen was for Dean to give Sam permission to have a wife and family. It had nothing to do with Destiel or "throwing Sam under the bus", but it was part of setting up Sam's storyline as the final girl. After s8, where Dean guilted Sam for settling down with a girl instead of trying to do everything he could to save Dean, the writers needed to have Dean give Sam permission to have a wife/family separate from him.

At that same comic con Brad Buckner also says, "There may be a little romance that pokes its head up". Here's the interview where they ask Eugenie about the romance comment and Eugenie is very clearly confused and surprised.

Jared mentioning Eileen makes me nervous. I kind of felt like Bob Singer mentioned them having a touch of romance because they'd thrown Sam under the bus to sidestep Dean and Cas. (Not that I ship DeanCas either, but the writers knew which couple was part of the ship wars. They gave us romance in a way we didn't "expect." And in my case NEVERx100 would want.)

I promise you Bob Singer never thought about Destiel when plotting out a season. That's not why they did it. Singer said before the start of the season that the relationship wouldn't last.

What was very funny about it, was that Bob said it during press tours, so the reporters asked Eugenie and Eugenie had no idea what he was talking about.

SDCC 2019 closing panel is not something I would like to reminisce again and again but these little moments keep me coming back.

As Misha finishes his thank you note Jensen starts off great. But at the middle of the speech a fan screams Thank you and he just looses it. He tries to pick it back up again. Jared rubs his back.. But Jensen fails somehow.

Then he gives a subtle look at Misha and Misha picks up on it. He slids his hand to Jensen's back comforting him. And Jensen is back on his speech.. Even after he finishes, Jensen leans on a bit towards Misha until he collects himself and Misha's hand remains on his back and chair rest until Jensen finishes as if a protective cocoon.

The body language is..uncanny. When Jared needs comfort Jensen is always there and when Jensen feels a little lost he seeks Misha as if it's a habit. And there has never been anyone on the show who is more protective of Misha than Jensen.

This is what I love about them. They barely need words. The comfort and love is always there..

Just to dab a little salt..

Cas's touch was the one which breathed life back into Dean..
