some things abt iro w/ a little bit of sumi info as well:

- lead photographer for hama tours, usually does promo shoots and live events - has their own studio provided by kafka - ironayu (their ship name that i often shorten to irny or ) bond over their complicated relationships to their siblings And Also theyre coworkers of the same company. Tho iro is actually independent of hama tours they do a lot of work w them - iro doesnt like being indebted to kafka for the studio so they wish to pay back as Much as possible .even tho she is grateful, kafka put her in a kinda weird situation but nevertheless they gotta deal w it - also any pronouns for iro (sumi goes by she/her) - iro also likes doing photography as a hobby (usually landscapes and nature in general bc he takes enough pictures of people throughout their work) - ^ although. They may have been stealing a couple of shots of a certain person during events and company hangouts and such. She always feels bad afterward and either deletes them or files them away

also more info about their home life (mostly during childhood)

iro and sumi get along Really well.. sumi helps iro w homework (mostly math. Im making iro worse at math and sumi awesomes at math because . My mathisms) and iro loves following sumi around like a little duckling.... kasumi is friends w aya [friend's oc] which is hwy iro knows aya and why aya becomes "iros surrogate big sister" as [friend] puts it. duyring their childhood they lived with their single mom who. Tried her (less than) best to take care of them but was kinda neglectful (not on purpose just so happened to be distant enough + shes working for the family (i think she'd be working at home on something) so she just doesnt have time for them) anyway their mother and sumi fought A LOTTTT and thats part of the reason why kasumi left

timeline: sumi left the household when iro was 12. sumi and iro are 5 years apart, sumi being the older sibling. so in the current day, iro is 23 and sumi is 28!

kasumi also rides a motorcycle and works part-time at flower laundry w nagi! shes also really good friends w him too ^_^

random note but: iro -> fox/dogcoded. sumi -> LARGE cat coded. You understand.

NOW FOR MUSIC TASTE: iro likes a lot of rock, sometimes hiphop, and (weirdly) game osts (because they like listening to town ambience music and general nature ambience music THIS MAKES SENSE.) sumi listens to Almost anything but has a tendency to lean toward rock and metal. anythign u can blast out your eardrums and your thoughts with. or songs that are really good for night drives (THIS ALSO MAKES SENSE)

FAV DRINKS!!!! they both like coffee but sumi is really trying to cut back on it so they've switched to black tea. Coffee will never leave her though. the coffee siblingsssss. iro likes it with a lot of milk and sumi needs a LOT of sugar but less milk than iro.

AHAHAH YAYYY THAT MEANS SM i really try to treat my readers like they’re intelligent individuals?? even in books i think people try to baby their readers and spoon feed too much which just gets annoying and redundant so i just throw in subtle references where if you get it you get it and if you put the connections together that’s great but if you don’t it’s not HORRIBLE you just kinda miss out on some foreshadowing or themes before they’re explained more fully…especially with tumblr it’s nice because then i can post about it and people who did’t see it can then know what i was doing and people who did can be like “yeahhh i noticed that #socool” LMAOOO also sometimes people will come up with their own connections and theories that outclass anything i intended on adding which is always really fun as well but that would never happen if i was overly literal with everything because then there’s no room for interpretation if that makes sense (also agreed poor grammar/wording are indeed turn offs for me that’s another reason why i don’t read fanfic much anymore…not hating because everyone starts somewhere and no one is perfect but yeah i am very picky with what i read and that’s why 99% of the time i end up writing instead)

i think his kingdra was his starter (as a horsea ofc) but lowkey i can see his horsea just being really docile and quiet and calm which makes hiori’s parents be like “wow he’s a prodigy at training 🤩 next champion right here ���” so they go to yayoi and they’re like “our son is the most talented trainer in the world give him one of your best pokémon so he can be successful and credit you in his memoir” ofc yayoi’s like lmao no but hiori’s parents insist so she just gives them a ducklett she planned on releasing because its attitude was SO bad she didn’t even want to make tabito deal with it 😭😭😭 so instead of karasu complimenting ducklett when he first meets hiori he’s like “YO THAT’S THE FUCKING DUCKLETT” JFNDJSHDJS but he realizes that ducklett does listen to hiori so he does acknowledge that hiori’s talented at training…wait lowkey another interesting route could be nidoran having beef with ducklett even once they evolve into nidoqueen and swanna but swanna can basically evade all of her moves and is super effective against nidoqueen because she (like gyarados) is a water-flying type so the beef is more just nidoqueen despising swanna and swanna having a superiority complex as the self-proclaimed leader of the team (kingdra’s the ACTUAL leader but it doesn’t gaf abt what swanna is doing) up until hiori catches his shinx…swanna pushes baby shinx too far ONE TIME and is thunderbolted so hard it joins barou and his houndoom in hell 😭😭😭 after that the dynamic settles down since nidoqueen adopts shinx (both because she has maternal instincts and its a baby and because anyone who beats swanna up is her personal goat) and swanna decides to leave her alone after that

HELPP i think i was trying to come up with pokémon that can mega evolve but aren’t super basic (gyarados can but mega gyarados is VERY overused for ocs) so i was like ok kangaskhan ‼️ and reader’s starter might have been krookodile instead of houndoom i don’t remember that part…but mega houndoom is SICK and the houndoom/arcanine parallels are so good + i love houndoom so it worked out for the best that i had to give up on kangaskhan!! also YESSSS simply there’s not a single battle in the series where galvantula won’t be involved it’s literally a cheat code 😩 help imagine karasu challenges reader to a battle at one point 😭 his entire team is swept by galvantula except for garchomp and lucario 😰 but those two get easily packed up by gyarados (i forgot fighting types were weak to flying and also that gyarados is technically also a flying type so he’s perfect against both garchomp AND lucario)
