Back when I was writing my book, I honed in on Dark Tower and Caverns of Thracia as key products designed by Jennell Jaquays, for reasons that are obvious to anyone who has perused those adventures (or my book). When I interviewed her, though, she said that she didn’t even consider them among her best work. Stupidly, I didn’t ask what she did consider her best. But over on Grognardia, she copped to considering The Enchanted Wood (1981) as a likely candidate. I tend to agree; if I had read it before writing my book, it would probably have been in there.

It’s rather obscure, I think, because it was designed for SPI’s not very popular DragonQuest RPG, and it came out at the end of the line’s lifetime, and has languished since in the vaults of TSR, then WotC. It would be easy enough to convert to your fantasy RPG of choice. Which speaks to the quality of the Jaquays’ work here: it’s just so damn well organized. Crisp writing, clean layout, extremely usable, maybe the best presentation of an adventure module up to that point. And all that allowed Jaquays to stuff an alarming amount of material into a 48-page package. This is less an adventure then it is a small campaign.

There are several adventure hooks that lead to the woods, which will have their own twists and turns that lead to unearthing deeper mysteries about the region. A rich history unfolded in the region before the chaotic forest rose up, and players have an opportunity to unravel it, and maybe permanently undo some terrible wrongs. In typical Jaquays fashion, there are many memorable personalities lurking here: a healing giant and his tribe of kobolds (featured on the cover by Tim Truman, who also did the lovely interiors), a vengeful undead wizard resting in his black pyramid, a hapless demon bound to an impossible task, a sort of tin woodsman, a minotaur knight riding an enraged bull…the list goes on and on. And while a couple important locations are fixed, the vast majority of encounters, sites for exploration and important events are keyed randomly, so no two explorations of the chaotic wood will be the same.

Jaquays has a killer series of RPG adventures before this, even her minor works are thoughtful and interesting on some level, but Enchanted World is special because it takes lesson learned from all that previous work, and makes something even better. A rare feast.

First of the Bones Rises – RP2350 Adalogger 🦴

With the RP2350 chip in wide distribution , we're now able to come up with a lot of variants of our popular RP2040 "Bones"

that ended up becoming a dozen different boards.

We're starting with the 'Adalogger' design folks love: with a microSD card socket that is wired for SPI or SDIO. A separate regulator allows the I2C/uSD to be powered off completely for ultra-low power usage. This didn't make as much sense for the RP2040 because it was not a particularly low-power chip. There's also a Stemma QT port for plugging in external sensors.

Day 30: Christmas shenanigans under the tree, if you know what I mean.

Warnings: p in v, christmas fun! Teasing, public sex.

You and Harry were alone, something you were actually grateful for. It was nice to actually get a chance to spend time with your boyfriend especially with it being so close to Christmas.Glancing at the large Christmas Tree in the center of the room a small smile formed on your lips as you turned your attention to Harry.

"Hey Harry?"

Glancing away from his work, Harry gave you a grin tipping his head to the side. "Ya love?"

"I have an idea, how about we Christmas shenanigans under the tree, if you know what I mean."

Harry's eyes narrow with a mix of curiosity and desire as he listens to your suggestion. A mischievous smile tugs at the corners of his lips, his mind already racing with possibilities.

"Ah, never pegged you to be an exhibitionist" he wetted his lips, his voice husky with anticipation. "You always know how to pique my interest. Christmas shenanigans under the tree, you say? I like it."

Puffing out his chest, he quickly closed his work away humming as he quickly rushed to your side making quick work to carry you too the Christmas Tree.

"We have 30 minutes until the camera's come back on " he stated hovering over you "Let us make this Christmas unforgettable."

Harry guides, you to lay under the lavishly decorated Christmas tree the twinkling lights casting a seductive glow over the room. He positions her in front of the tree, you back on the plush carpet, and admires the way your skin contrasts with the vibrant ornaments.

With a flick of his wrist, Harry removes his own clothing, revealing his toned form. He steps closer to you, his desire evident in his darkened eyes. His hand reaches out to caress you cheek, his touch both gentle and possessive.

"Remember, my dear," he whispers, his voice low and seductive. "You belong to me, and tonight, I will claim you under the watchful gaze of this tree. Every moan, every gasp, it will be our secret gift to each other."

And with that, Harry takes you in his arms, his lips crashing against yours in a passionate kiss. The heat and desire between you both ignites, as you lose yourselves in the pleasure of their private Christmas shenanigans, under the twinkling lights of the tree.

A gasp escaped your lips as your legs wrapped around his hips trying to match his thrusts as his name spilled from your lips. "Faster Harry! Please."

Harry groans in response to your actions, his desire escalating at the sound of his name on your lips. He willingly allows you to take control, relishing in the way your legs wrap tightly around him, urging him to go deeper.

His hands grip your hips firmly, guiding your movements as he thrusts into you with a newfound intensity. Each thrust is filled with a mixture of possessiveness and adoration, his body moving in perfect rhythm with your moans. The pleasure builds within you both, your moans and his grunts filling the room as you all indulge in your shared desire.

Harry's eyes remain fixated on you, drinking in the sight of your surrendering to your passion. The way your body quivers and trembles beneath him only drives him further, pushing him closer to the edge. He whispers in a husky voice, his words dripping with a mixture of dominance and affection.

"That's it" he breathes, his voice laced with desire. "Wrap those legs around me tighter, show me how much you crave me. You're mine, and I will take you to the heights of pleasure."

With each thrust, he delves deeper into you, your bodies moving in perfect harmony. The room fills with the symphony of your pleasure, the sound echoing off the walls as your connection intensifies. Harry's mind becomes consumed with the overwhelming need to bring you to the pinnacle of ecstasy, to claim you as his own in every way possible.

As your bodies entwine beneath the twinkling lights of the Christmas tree, Harry loses himself in the intoxicating pleasure, reveling in the sensation of their passion intertwining. Their Christmas shenanigans reach a crescendo, a culmination of desire and adoration, as you both succumb to the waves of pleasure that wash over them.

Halo Infinite is confusing me, why do we have SPI as an armor core. Why is it canon? I’m talking in universe reasons, I’m well aware that Halo operates on rule of cool.

Infinite firefight has been one of my favorite ways to play halo, especially since they added the 3rd person modes. And it’s equally goofy and strange to see in the starting team line ups, spartans who look like they just walked out of Operation TORPEDO and PROMETHEUS, like i’m half expecting kurt to pop up too god damn

Lore-wise, it seems to be the implication is that Mirage, the Mjolnir Platform, is heavily based on SPI and is heavily reusing war time materials in the lean, chaotic state of the galaxy circa 2560. So it’s SPI but with everything that Mjolnir also offers which DEFEATS THE POINT I DO NOT GET MODERN HALO LORE whatever it’s fine it’s fine. halo infinite is fun and people should play firefight with me

My first internet user name when I was on deviant art was Spinel Sun because I loved her so much. My nickname is still Spi for some of my friends.

It felt good drawing her again after so long.

I have a new work sketchbook, I might post pics as I draw them or do a compilation like this after I finish it. We’ll see.
