Database Evolution in Software Product Lines

This work addresses the challenge of evolving already-deployed Software Product Line (SPL) products with populated databases. As feature selections change over time due to evolving requirements, updating associated software components is relatively straightforward—but adapting the underlying database schema and transforming existing data remains complex. To tackle this, we introduce SPL-DB-Sync, a semi-automated approach that ensures seamless and consistent database evolution aligned with feature modifications.
