Alright man this has been bouncing around my head so I'm gonna ramble here
I listened to most of the WAN show last night while playing Splatoon (I don't have my own dock yet, so my brother was watching it while I was using his setup for Big Run) and they started talking about Mario Kart World.
They didn't like it. Which, fair! But all the complaints were the most...silly things?
Like Linus was upset there wasn't a campaign. It was just Grand Prix, KO, online and free roam. He compared to SSB Brawl (though think he meant Ultimate with how he described it) and I'm like??? It isn't Smash Bros? Mario Kart has literally never had a campaign? It wasn't marketed as having one? Where did this come from??
His problem was basically that all there was to do in the game was race. My guy, you bought a racing game. (Also that ignores the little tasks in free roam and the battle mode, but I digress.)
His second major complaint had to do with driving on the walls and all the combinations of tracks since you drive to each, there's like 200 lap combinations or something. His issue was a seasoned player, someone who knew the shortcuts and had a mastery of the new mechanics, would have a major advantage.
Like...yeah?? You practice a game, you have an advantage over casual players?
If you don't want to sink hours in watching videos to learn all these tricks, you don't have to. You can play casually. You have a ranking for online so you'll be paired with other people around your skill level. You can sit down with friends and enjoy some casual matches. Just because there's a high skill ceiling doesn't mean you HAVE to reach it. Hell, I still can't be bothered to learn proper Squid Roll and I've been playing Splatoon 3 for years!
Again, not liking the game is completely fine, but the system having a high skill ceiling and fundamentally still being a kart racer is not a mark of a bad game.
To be honest I keep seeing arguments surrounding MKW that it's either "peak" or "mid" or even "bad" and I don't think it would be this much of a thing if the game wasn't priced at $80. If it was a $60 MSRP, I think a lot more people would be like "new Mario Kart, cool." Instead it's turned into this huge debate and nitpicking details. Like every day I see someone else trying to tear the game down and say it's trash rather than just admitting they don't like it or are sour about the pricing.
The $80 tag really puts the game up to expectations it will never be able to reach.
Personally? I'm really liking the game! My brother asks me several times a day to play with him. We haven't really played a Mario Kart together like this since Double Dash and it's been a really fun experience!
That said, I asked him if he thought the game was worth $80 and he said "no game is worth $80." Which, I agree.
Despite all the fun I've been having, if I didn't get it bundled (which essentially reduced the price to $50) I would not buy it. Not because I think the game is bad or not worth my time, but because I'm not willing to spend that amount on some entertainment while I still have a massive backlog of other games to play.
It's a Mario Kart and if you want to say the amount of content for the price tag isn't worth it, fair! If you don't care for how it's structured, fair! Don't like free roam or knockout tour, also fair! But the game rewarding you for engaging with it's mechanics is not a flaw.
#the price really soured any discussion of this game#and it's just so many hot takes#it's not just ltt. i've seen this from everywhere but i was. flabbergasted listening to linus last night#like no one is forcing you to not be a casual player it's not the fault of the game if you refuse to engage with its mechanics#it's honestly some of the same arguments i see against the werehog from sonic unleashed#''it's slow'' ok learn the combos#you can do levels in like 6 or 7 minutes when you Get Good at the mechanics you just refuse to#if you want to say you don't like it or it's not for you that's fair!#or even that it lacks proper tutorials to teach you those mechanics. i agree on that!#but don't come complaining about how the the system is slow when you refuse to engage with it#mario kart world

Serious About Defence? Then It’s Time to Get Serious with CDS Coaching in Dehradun!
Every Indian defence aspirant has a defining moment. It’s that moment when you look at the uniform not as a dream, but as a goal. When the idea of serving the nation becomes more than just motivation — it becomes a mission. If you’ve had that moment, then there’s something else you need to hear: the right training can make all the difference between another failed attempt and a call letter to the academy.
And that’s why, if you're serious about joining the Indian Armed Forces through the Combined Defence Services (CDS) exam, it’s time you consider the Best CDS Coaching in Dehradun – Dehradun Military Academy (DMA).

Why the CDS Exam Isn’t Your Average Competitive Test
Before we dive into why Dehradun Military Academy is a top choice, let's talk about the exam itself.
The CDS exam, conducted by UPSC, is a gateway to India’s most elite institutions:
Indian Military Academy (IMA)
Indian Naval Academy (INA)
Air Force Academy (AFA)
Officers’ Training Academy (OTA)
It tests more than just your knowledge. It tests your speed, stamina, decision-making, and psychological readiness. Only the best prepared clear it – and even fewer make it through the SSB.
So ask yourself: Is basic coaching enough for an exam that shapes future military leaders? The answer is a clear NO.
The Dehradun Advantage – More Than Just Location
You might wonder why Dehradun is considered a hub for defence coaching.
Here’s why:
Home to the prestigious Indian Military Academy (IMA)
A long-standing culture of discipline and excellence
Access to experienced mentors, often ex-defence personnel
A peaceful and focused environment perfect for preparation
But more than geography, it’s the quality of institutions like Dehradun Military Academy that sets the city apart.
What Makes Dehradun Military Academy the Best CDS Coaching in Dehradun?
DMA isn’t just another coaching center. It’s a transformation zone. Here’s why thousands of students trust it with their defence dreams:
1. Expert Faculty with Defence Background
At DMA, the trainers don’t just teach, they train. Most of the mentors are either retired defence officers or subject matter experts who understand not just the syllabus, but the mindset needed to clear CDS.
“You don’t just prepare for a written exam here. You prepare for the life beyond it.”
2. Structured and Strategic Curriculum
The CDS syllabus can seem vast. But at DMA, it's broken down into strategic modules:
English mastery (for OTA and AFA alike)
In-depth General Knowledge coverage
Mastering Elementary Mathematics with shortcuts
Weekly revision & surprise tests
Full-length mock tests under real-time pressure
Every topic is taught with precision — because guesswork doesn’t crack UPSC.
3. Special SSB Preparation
Clearing the written exam is just the beginning. The real challenge? The SSB Interview.
DMA provides specialized SSB coaching which includes:
Psychological tests (TAT, WAT, SRT)
Group discussions
GTO tasks
Personal interview training
Public speaking and confidence building
“Our goal is to shape not just officers, but leaders.”
4. Personalized Doubt Sessions
Unlike overcrowded classrooms where your doubts remain unanswered, DMA provides 1-on-1 mentoring to help each student overcome their unique weaknesses.
Whether it’s Math formulas or GK confusion – no question goes ignored.
What Students Say About DMA’s CDS Coaching
“I had tried CDS twice and failed before joining DMA. It was only after their intensive SSB training and strategy-based teaching that I finally cleared the exam and the interview in my third attempt.” — Rohit Singh, IMA Cadet
“What makes DMA the Best CDS Coaching in Dehradun isn’t just the teaching, but the way they make you believe in yourself. Every day felt like I was one step closer to the uniform.” — Shivani Thakur, OTA Select
The Online Advantage – Because Discipline Doesn’t Depend on a Location
Can’t relocate to Dehradun?
Good news – DMA also offers a comprehensive online CDS coaching platform. The same expert faculty, same strategy – now available wherever you are.
Features of the online course:
Live + recorded classes
Practice test portal
Digital performance tracking
Online SSB guidance
Direct doubt-clearing via chat and video
Distance doesn’t matter when your training is top-tier.
What to Expect When You Join DMA
A disciplined schedule that mirrors military routine
Motivation sessions from defence officers
Weekly progress analysis
Time-management strategies for exam day
Constant encouragement to “think like an officer”
Because that’s what CDS coaching should be: more than academics – it’s mindset training.
Is CDS Coaching Really Worth It? Absolutely – When It’s from DMA
There’s a myth that self-study is enough for CDS. While self-discipline is crucial, coaching like DMA gives you an edge:
You’re guided by experts who’ve been there
You practice with real exam-level tests
You receive feedback that self-study won’t give you
You’re part of a like-minded community of aspirants

Final Word – Are You Serious About Defence? Then Take the First Serious Step
The dream to serve the country is powerful. But dreams alone don’t build officers – action does.
If you’re truly committed, it’s time to stop searching, comparing, and hesitating. It’s time to choose the Best CDS Coaching in Dehradun – Dehradun Military Academy – and put your dream into motion.
Because one day, when you wear that uniform, you’ll look back at this choice… and be proud you made it.
Dehradun Military Academy isn’t just a coaching institute. It’s a launchpad for patriots. Are you ready to take off?

Today, boys and girls, we are going to look into how NOT to write a wiki entry, with Special Guests, the Dragon Ball Wiki. Now see, in a good wiki, when there are multiple versions of something in varying continuities, the wiki entry will actually separate the continuities, so as not to confuse the reader and help them understand the difference. For example, let’s look at one of the best-maintained wikis out there, the Transformers Wiki at tfwiki.net.
To further hammer home the point, let’s look at the degree of sorting when we click on Gen 1 Optimus, shall we?
This list goes well on, but you can see how well-sorted it is so as to make certain readers have a very clear understanding of which incarnation of a character is which, and therefore what is canon to that version of him. And this is a franchise with an ungodly amount of incarnations. NOW, allow me to paste for you a quick example of the Dragon Ball Wiki’s description of Super Saiyan Blue and see if you come out a mite confused. “Super Saiyan Blue drains a lot of stamina when first used and needs to be mastered via intense training or long time experience, as Goku and Vegeta have. After proper mastery, Goku displayed the ability to repeatedly use this form during the Zen Exhibition Match with no real exhausting. The form's stamina flaw is elaborated on in the Dragon Ball Super manga: If the form is subsequently used multiple times in a row, on the second consecutive usage the form's abilities will all drop by over 90% from their full power, explaining how Vegeta was unable to overwhelm Hit like Goku could, due to Vegeta already using the form against Cabba. Additionally, at less than 10% capacity, it is noted to be is less than that of a Super Saiyan God. This stamina flaw also exists in the anime (though there is no mention of losing over 90% power on the second use) Goku did admit that that Super Saiyan Blue required too much energy to start the battle during the Universe 6 VS 7 tournament. Likewise during the Tournament of Power, Goku and Vegeta still felt that they never want to constantly use the form right from the start of the tournament, despite having minimized the stamina drain. Later on in the manga, during the final fight against Black and Future Zamasu, Vegeta showed that this flaw can be bypassed by learning to perfectly switch back and forth between Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan Blue in an instant, moving around as a Super Saiyan God and attacking and defending as a Super Saiyan Blue - allowing for much more powerful and more concentrated attacks. In addition, similar to Super Saiyan 4, the strain regarding ki becomes significant when utilizing the form in a fusion, whether by Potara earrings or presumably via Fusion Dance. This was especially demonstrated with Vegito's fight with Fused Zamasu, where the transformation ended prematurely after only a quarter of an hour, and even less in the manga.“ Note three things: They try to use the anime and manga version of events to play off each other, suggesting they contain interchangeable information. They also cite very specific examples of where the anime and manga contradict each other, thus undermining that first assumption. They mention SSJ4 for no reason at all. Literally none. It has no bearing on the SSB form, even if there is a perceived similarity, this should be a trivia entry, not in the body of an article about a form completely unrelated to it or its continuity. Now I, as the reader, should not have to pick through your article and try to decipher what’s canon and what’s part of another version’s depiction. That’s messy and unnecessary. It only serves to confuse the reader. And this isn’t even their worst offense. On character pages they will cite filler, manga, video games, movies, even appearances in attractions and rides, in their bios without distinction. On the pages for these forms, they often cite the characters who get them and include non-canon appearances such as video game characters, often with no clear initial distinction. And that, friends, is why the fandom is eternally confused. Well, aside from often times willful ignorance. P.S. Once upon a time, even trying to correct mistakes or sort things on the site would result in mods just deleting even sourced edits and restoring everything back in its place. P.P.S. For added fun, they almost always prefer the frequently altered or incorrect Old Funi Dub info over anything else, including the original Japanese dub or manga. Fun times.

Actually, it rather does. Jiren, the root of him not speaking, his stoicism, stems from that fact. It’s why he gave them said backstory, to explain WHY that personality doesn’t fit Jiren. What Toyotaro did is not a “happy medium”, it’s still Jiren being a “harbinger of justice”. Even his quiet demeanor at the tournament stems from this; he’s quiet NOW because he doesn’t like that other universes will die. What Toei did is a far, far more logical extension of the backstory, whereas what Toyotaro is doing is essentially leaving the backstory as a flippant detail that doesn’t much inform anything about his character traits. And yeah, they rather did. Toyotaro added a lot to SSB; increased stamina drain, taking the form more than once in any given time will drastically reduce your strength by large percentages, the aura stems from it being “incomplete” and “mastery” means there is no aura around the user; all of these are drastic additions that differ from SSB as described in all other mediums. On top of that, Toriyama’s descriptor of SSG, where it comes from, it being the embodiment of the power and spirit of Yamoshi, hence the need for the ritual, that certainly does not tie in with Vegeta suddenly having this form, and without said ritual. Those are some pretty big disconnects on things Toriyama HAS provided descriptors for, with detail.

A rather interesting example given as to the creative process behind Super: what was in Toriyama’s original manuscript, what changes to it he approved and worked with, and what ideas they added as detail work on their own. My favorite thing to note is that Toriyama actually didn’t mean for Ultra Instinct to exist, but saw an unresolved story point and opted to give it a visible conclusion. It came to him as he wrote, like back when he worked on the manga. Might explain why I like it as much as I do, it’s him through and through. This is what I mean when I say not everything is to Toriyama’s credit, or to his fault either. Some further explanations on the translations from Herms:
(This means yes, Toriyama actually works with both Toei AND Toyotaro, as opposed to “favoring the manga” like so many claim.)

Crack the NDA exam with Proven strategies and study plan
Crack the NDA Exam with Proven Strategies and Study Plan – Detailed Scenario by Shield Defence Academy
When it comes to securing a place in the National Defence Academy (NDA), aspirants must equip themselves with not only the right knowledge but also an effective strategy that can ensure success in this highly competitive exam. At Shield Defence Academy, we have developed and tested a comprehensive methodology designed to help students crack the NDA exam through focused preparation, intelligent time management, and tailored mentoring.
Understanding the NDA Exam Structure
The NDA examination, conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), comprises two major papers: Mathematics and General Ability Test (GAT). Candidates must also pass a rigorous SSB Interview post written qualification.
Mathematics (300 Marks)
Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Matrices & Determinants
Probability, Statistics, Analytical Geometry
Practice and clarity are critical for excelling in this section.
General Ability Test (600 Marks)
English (200 Marks) – Vocabulary, Grammar, Comprehension
General Knowledge (400 Marks) – Physics, Chemistry, General Science, History, Geography, Current Events
Understanding this structure is crucial to crack the NDA exam with a disciplined approach.
Proven Strategies to Crack the NDA Exam
1. Follow a Timed Study Plan
At Shield Defence Academy, we advise candidates to structure their daily routine into defined slots:
4 hours of Mathematics daily – Two hours of concept learning, two hours of practice.
3 hours for GAT – Split equally between English and Science/History/Geography.
1 hour of Current Affairs – Use daily newspapers and reliable apps.
Mock Test every Sunday – Simulate real exam conditions for better time management.
This timetable ensures full coverage of the syllabus over a span of three months.
2. Build Command Over English
To crack the NDA exam, command over English is non-negotiable. Here’s how we train our cadets:
Vocabulary drills (50 words/day) using root method.
Daily reading habit – Editorials from The Hindu or Indian Express.
Grammar practice – Error spotting, fill in the blanks, sentence rearrangement from previous year papers.
Essay and Letter Writing every weekend to boost writing skills.
3. Conceptual Mastery in Mathematics
Rather than cramming formulas, we focus on:
Conceptual clarity through problem-solving workshops.
Topic-wise short notes and formula charts for quick revision.
Daily quizzes to assess retention and accuracy.
Special attention on time-saving techniques for lengthy problems.
This holistic method enables students to solve 90% of math problems in under a minute.
4. General Knowledge through Visualization and Mapping
Our content team prepares:
Mind maps and timeline-based charts for History and Polity.
Diagram-based learning for Geography and Science.
One-pager current affair digest every week.
Weekly quizzes and group discussions to internalize facts.
These visual tools make it easier to crack the NDA exam by improving long-term memory retention.
5. Physical and Mental Conditioning
The NDA selection process is not just academic. SSB demands:
Stamina, leadership, and teamwork.
Daily PT sessions, obstacle training, and group tasks under retired defence officers.
Mock SSB interviews every month with feedback reports.
Psychological conditioning sessions to build resilience and decision-making skills.
We ensure a balanced preparation environment, so students are fit both mentally and physically.
