         She was used to being up and about in the inner sanctum of the warehouse at the wee hours of the morning, when even the hum drum of the city around her seemed too tired to intrude, but it was rare that those that she shared her bed with woke -- if they stayed at all, until late in the morning or afternoon of the next day.  His appearance in the vast, cluttered space that served as her studio elicited a smile, a glance cast down to the button up she’d ‘stolen’ from him when she’d slipped from the bed, now ... only slightly paint smeared... “Looking for this?”  If he was trying for an escape, she wouldn’t stop him -- but she would be sad to see him go, even if she wouldn’t admit it.

                  The warehouse door slammed shut with a bang, the aura of impatience and discontent audible in the sharp clack of the woman’s kitten heels against the concrete floor as she stalked her way through the open foyer into the converted living quarters of the space, fingers snatching the sunglasses from her nose and snapping them closed into her palm.  “Clarissa Mackenzie Adams --”  The name was spoken sharply, shortly.  “What exactly is the use of your cell phone if you don’t bother to pick it up when I calli?”  There was a pause, a few more strides taken in as she stepped further in, her lips creasing into a sharp frown as she didn’t manage to catch sight of the subject of her prepared tirade.  A turn on her heel at the sound of movement, a moment of surprise registered that narrowed quickly into suspicion as she eyed the unknown figure.  A small sniff, a critical gaze given that couldn’t find anything immediately to dislike about the man, other than the fact that he was here.   “And who, exactly, are you?”
