Another awesome Niehime episode. I got thrown off by last week’s PV, I thought Anastasia was the king in his human form. Wow seeing someone who looks just like him and is related to him is very cool.

Always nice to see other parts of this world. The beasts kingdom is nice, but we’ve been there for so long I’m definitely looking forward to seeing more of the human realm. Sariphi was definitely brave for going there on her own.

The first person we get introduced to is Ocelot, who comes off as your usual overzealous and virtuous knight, with some weak social skills lol. Of course mentioning that she was from the beast kingdom probably wasn’t the best idea, but Sariphi managed to get out of jail rather quickly.

Anastasia living all alone for all these years is actually really sad. I wonder what happened to her parents. From the flashbacks, it seems like she’s been alone ever since a child. Can’t imagine what she’s been through. I wonder if Ocelot still cares about her after she basically rejected him when they were kids? He didn’t really pushback when Sariphi asked if she could go see her. I’m rooting for them! Also, obligatory seasonal Hayamin waifu

Things are heating up in the beast kingdom as well. Set seemingly implying that he’s royalty? No records of the king’s birth so could he be illegitimate? That could explain the former king’s behaviour towards him. If true, it could spark a civil war.

Doesn’t seem like we’ll be able to wrap everything up in a few episodes so I’m praying for a second season of this. Way too good not to finish.

Being a human who is a witch and being a like sister to King Leonhart would include.

Being discovered by Leonhart during one of his secret missions to free the human sacrifices changed your life forever. As a young witch living in hiding at the edge of Ozmargo, you were using your magic to help heal escaping sacrifices when he found you. Instead of punishing your interference, Leonhart was moved by your compassion. "Y/n, your heart reminds me of my own mother," he confessed during a rare moment of vulnerability. Despite the risks, he brought you to the palace secretly, adopting you as his ward and later proclaiming you his sister—shocking the court but establishing your position permanently.

Your magical abilities made you uniquely valuable in Leonhart's inner circle. While other humans feared the beast king, you understood his gentle nature behind the fierce façade. When his monthly transformation came, you were among the few trusted to guard his chambers, using protective enchantments to ensure his secret remained safe. "You don't know what it means, Y/n, to have someone who sees both sides of me without judgment," he would tell you on those moonlit nights, his crimson eyes softer in his human form but still unmistakably Leonhart.

Becoming friends with Sariphi happened naturally—two humans in the beast king's court finding understanding in each other. Where Leonhart was your protective brother, Sariphi became your confidante and ally. You helped her navigate court politics, whispering explanations during formal events and teaching her which senators could be trusted. In return, she defended your position fiercely when others questioned a human witch's place in the royal household. "Y/n isn't just skilled with magic," she once declared to a sneering noble, "she has the heart of Ozmargo in her, just as much as any beast born here."

Your position as a Lady of the Court developed from necessity into honor. Leonhart appointed you officially after you used your witchcraft to uncover a plot against him, your herbs revealing poison in his wine when even Anubis missed it. The ceremony making you a Lady was brief but meaningful, with Leonhart placing his massive paw gently on your shoulder. "My sister in all but blood," he announced publicly, causing whispers throughout the court but establishing your authority. You wore the aegean blue of the royal household proudly, though you added subtle witch symbols to your attire as a reminder of your origins.

Becoming one of Sariphi's ladies-in-waiting gave you purpose beyond your relationship with Leonhart. You attended her daily, weaving protective charms into her clothing and teaching her about human customs Leonhart had forgotten. When the plot to overthrow Leonhart reached its peak, you stood beside both of them, your magic creating barriers when needed and healing wounds when the fighting couldn't be avoided. "Y/n's loyalty isn't just to me," Leonhart told his council afterward, "but to the future we're building—a kingdom where beasts and humans live as equals."

Through the years of transformation as Ozmargo slowly changed, you remained a constant bridge between worlds. Your herb garden became famous throughout the kingdom, healing beasts and humans alike. Leonhart consulted you before making decisions that would affect humans in his realm, valuing your perspective as both sister and advisor. When their child was born—a new heir with mixed heritage like Leonhart himself—you were named guardian, swearing to protect the child with both your magic and your life. "Family isn't always blood," Leonhart would tell you as you stood on the balcony overlooking a kingdom slowly healing its divisions, "sometimes it's found in those who stand beside you when everyone else steps away." "You are right Leo. I want you to know forevermore. You will always be my brother no matter what. Even though we're not related, you will always be my family," You said that day with a smile on your face that was full of happiness.

Nah man, Lente’s display of bravery combined with that Yamamoto Kohta OST got me over here in tears 😭 I love this show so much. It’s just gradually got better and better with every story arc and Sariphi is such an awesome MC

Even in the short time they’ve been together, Sariphi has already touched Fenrir. Even though he’s done some messed up stuff you can tell he’s not really evil. Just a broken child on the inside desperate for the acknowledgment of others.

The contrast between he and Nir’s relationship and Leo and Anubis is so interesting. Both princes were kind children who didn’t have great upbringings, but Leo had Anubis who wasn’t afraid to correct him when he went out of line. Nir on the other hand, is subservient to Fenrir and doesn’t guide him as a friend, but serves him as a servant

Next week’s fight looks awesome from the preview. I can’t wait to see what they’ve got cooked up.
