Please stop hating Chinese, and please stop supporting those that bully them via /r/China
Please stop hating Chinese, and please stop supporting those that bully them
Very unpopular opinion warning

This government that the current generation didnt choose is stuck on the country like a tumor. Its like cancer. Being hostile to everything and everyone Chinese because of this lame ass CCP is just unfounded, yet doing so seems so popular these days.

I get it, Chinese people due to recent world events have become very unpopular. I dont like that being the case but i understand why. Its just that recently its become a little extreme. I see satire/troll comments bullying anything to do with China to be so common, and I see people siding with those movements that clearly discriminates Chinese.

So many cases of Chinese nationals getting hospitalized and/or got set on fire (for very little reason other than a difference in ideals) in Hongkong in the last year, those instances got reported on western media as well. Multiple leaders of the HK protesters got interviewed by western media about whether they would denounce those discriminating violent actions, the response was no.

When is the last time even the KKK lynched someone? To a Chinese person those perpetrators are more dangerous than the KKK, however apparently the entire world SUPPORTS them. Its bizarre.

If they really wanted change, if they were really fighting for their ideals, the only effective way is to unite with the mainlanders, because the influence of one single city is too weak, but 13 billion angry people is not. Since 2015 the anger towards the ruling party has been boiling in China. You might not be able to tell from the outside world, but criticisms towards the ccp has become so abundant online that they cant get censored fast enough. I was seeing hope for change back then! Until HK mobs starting doing their crap.

From the very beginning of the HK protests, lots of HK protestors were hostile towards the mainland Chinese. Mobs would beat up Chinese people for saying they love their country (those instances were reported on western media as well so its not propaganda made up). They would treat Chinese as lesser to themselves(events of discrimination happened for years and were constantly in the news)These actions killed any possibility of any support from the mainland. How can you possibly support someone that hates you? And in turns that killed the spark of hope that change may come to this communist regime. Their actions tell me that they dont really care about their ideal. In the end they actually helped the ccp.

I see so many posts saying fuck China, yet nobody gives a flying fuck about the casualties of innocent Chinese that happened because of those mobs. I support democracy. I would've supported HK protestors if they actually behaved in a way that may lead to change for good, and most importantly if they would just denounce those among them that tries to treat an entire country of people like shit.

America may have elected Trump but China never elected Xi. If it were up to me I wish China was a democracy, and I'd put people like Xi in jail for a long ass time. But everyone seems to have a huge problem with the entirety of China for the actions of a government they didn't even elect! Its just grotesque. I want people to understand if you hate dictatorships then by every logic you should be friendly with the Chinese, because they are victims to it!

Stop spewing hate towards Chinese, stop treating them like shit and trying to hospitalise them, stop supporting the mobs in HK that do treat them like shit and tries to hospitalise them, and hopefully soon the world may be rid of this ccp.
