Do you think John would have sold his soul for Sam in 2.01 if Sam had been the one dying instead of Dean? Do you think John, knowing everything he knows about the situation with Azazel, who told Dean he’d have to kill Sam if he couldn’t save him, would have sacrificed his life for his youngest son the way he did for Dean? Because I don’t. I think John would have let Sam die.

Thoughts on Lebanon.

I originally reblogging this on this post, but I deleted it. If someone wants to rant about terrible takes, that’s their right. But, the take was so bad (imo) that I still need to counter it. So, here’s my counter rant.

EDITED TO ADD: I just have to add that someone can dislike John and still appreciate the episode because it’s not necessarily about how the audience feels about John, it’s about his Sam and Dean feel about John. And despite having their issues, they love and miss their dad. Though they also don’t consider having him back as worth giving up what they have with each other at this point in their lives, so they say goodbye again. I always say of the hundredth episodes: Point of No return is about the brothers relationship and the plot, Fan Fiction is for the fans, and Lebanon is for Sam and Dean. Even if they don’t love John, if a viewer loves the boys, they should be able to appreciate the moment and its importance for the characters.

dean winchester is a fucking saint because for over 2 decades he had to put up with a post-YED john and a teenage sam winchester and not only did he not shoot those two and ditch their corpses on the side of the road but also actually took care of them often to the detriment of his own well-being all while being a child and later a teenager himself. could not be me.

Being a girl is: wanting to go to bed early but deciding to just get on tumblr/wattpad/Ao3 for a little bit and then end up finding a fic series that you really like and read until well past your usual bedtime then keeping on because it’s already past your bedtime. Then being mad when you wake up in the morning because you overslept your timer.

I still can't believe that in the official published John Winchester's Journal, it is stated outright that 7 year old Sam was accused of murder and consequently 12 year old Dean killed a Hunter to save Sammy from kidnap/murder.

No fucking wonder nobody wants them around.

Imagine, John Winchester rolls up with two scrawny kids. The younger one is whispered to be of the devil, the older is headed straight for prison if what everyone says about him is true, and he's got a gun weighing down the pocket of his little boy coat.
