this was awesome!! the empty netters guys did deep research on jess' playing background and were so in awe of her achievements and made for an excellent interview with soupy!!

her coaching philosophy and methods, both on and off ice, are so empowering and supportive no wonder her past and current players love her (mo seider: "best coach ever!")

she talks about how differently she had to approach her life after college bc there was no future like aiming to play pro women's hockey, talks about her time playing in the CWHL for no salary, and how wonderful it is that the PWHL exists now

and near the end they talk a few things outside of hockey, like her love for fashion (that's where the tweets about choosing the white suit over a red suit for her first nhl game came from) just like they do with most men nowadays, millionaire athletes love talking their suit game.

anyhow, such a fun listen! i learned a lot.
