Mistigram: today is Bi Visibility Day, and if your local bi person is wearing this colourful flag, as illustrated in #ANSIart here by AdeptApril, they will certainly be visible. Its top pink stripe apparently means same-sex attraction, the blue stripe on the bottom representing attraction to the opposite sex. And that purple band in the middle? This is a Venn diagram!

Sept 23 - Two balls of yarn into the back of the sweater now, yay. Decided that if I was going to do an increasing pattern out of the rows I should do it on the double stitch netting sections, as that'll give me the longest sweater length out of the yarn. So I'm doing increasing sets separated by three rows of single stitch netting, which is making a nice visually interesting pattern.

I think I'll probably hit a good body length somewhere in the 5th or 6th ball, so I'm definitely going to need to order another batch of the yarn to have enough for both panels. At least at this point I'm now pretty certain that 6 balls will be enough for 1 panel, when I was previously worried that'd turn out to be too short.

I'm liking this yarn, it's really soft, undoubtedly because it's a cotton-acrylic mix instead of just cotton, though it's still got some of that nice weight that cotton yarn has.

Spent some time this afternoon trimming useful bits of meat off of the roast duck from Saturday, which all went into the freezer, and then turning the carcass into stock. The stock has been strained and is now in the fridge to cool overnight so I can skim off the duck fat tomorrow before dividing up and freezing the stock itself. The fat I'll melt and then add to the container of duck fat I already have from the roast drippings. It's over a cup of duck lard from a single duck even before whatever I recover from the stock. Looking forward to finding recipes to use it up in (potato galette... oven roasted veggies... I think it'd be interesting to use some of it and the duck stock and meat up in slow cooked white beans...)

For supper tonight I did fish sticks and oven fries with crudites.

Sept 23 - more scanning today; finally finished the box of photos I've been working through for the last few sessions. Also did a shopping run to pick up some odds and ends we needed. Decided to have another fend night, I had cereal with dried cranberries, a yogurt cup, and a butter tart for supper.
