so you know that scene in the one piece live action where zeff and garp were acting like an old married couple.. ya that. What if zeff noticed koby lurking in the background, koby who’s still a shiny recruit and who’s probably still underweight and scrawny from his time with alvida… and you know what, here’s how it goes:

Zeff, noticing koby: Garp, what the shit. I thought you promised to keep your marines feed

Garp: the fuck? I do.

Zeff: then what the hell is he *pointing to koby*

Garp: who? Koby? He’s a new recruit, shiny new. He has special circumstances

Zeff: still doesn’t explain shit.

Garp: well before he joined up, he was with Alvida… as her whipping boy, essentially. And as i said, shiny new.

Zeff: ….well shit

Garp: special circumstances

Zeff: hey Carne, we still got some of that soup left over?

Carne: we should chef, and it shouldn’t take that long to make some more if we don’t.

Zeff: good, gimmie a bowl of that and pull up another chair

*A few moments later*

Garp: aye Koby, cmere for a sec

koby: yes sir?

Zeff: brought you some soup, should be light and easy on the stomach, but give you the proteins and nutrients that you need, now, sit down and dig in

koby: i- thank you sir- sirs, but i wouldnt want to intrude..

garp: none of that now, growing boy like you needs the food, bow sit.
