July 14- Taipei

I woke up so early today for the CASA GBM 😭. My alarm went off at 5:45 and when I opened the curtains to let the light in there wasn't a single person or car moving on the streets. The GBM went well. We did a run-through and then hosted the event. I helped run the roblox activity and we were able to play one short horror game before Emily ended the meeting. I was so tired, I went back to bed and then woke up when someone came to clean our room. I stayed in bed until around 11 before getting ready for the day. I decided to walk to the bakery I went to last time and bought an egg custard and egg yolk pastry. I walked aimlessly with my bag of baked goods until I decided to search up the closest park. I walked there and it was pretty small and in the middle of nowhere and completely empty. I sat down on a shaded bench next to a resting cat to eat my pastries. They were both really good but the egg yolk pastry was soooo delicious. I sat there for a little bit wondering what to do and feeling stressed that I wasn't maximizing my time in Taiwan. I started walking back and came across a grocery store so I went in. I think I walked circles in the grocery store for a while wondering if I should get something and probably looking really lost 😂. Then I remembered I needed some more toothpaste and lotion so I went in search of those. I found this cool fruit flavored toothpaste but couldn't find lotion. I probably could've searched harder but I felt really out of place. On my way out I did more pointless circles and ended up seeing bags of dates. I bought a small bag of Jujube dates because my sister and I really like snacking on them. Checking out was so stressful😭. I used to have no nerves checking out but it's so bad now lol. After leaving the grocery store I walked to a convenience store to look for some lunch. I got a fruit tea and tomato egg. Checking out this time was even worse nooo why am I so bad now. The cashier heated up my egg bowl and I ate it there at the seating area. I felt so full afterwards, it was too much food in a short time period.

I walked back to the hotel and chilled until 4. I started watching this new Korean dating show on Netflix where the contestants have all been single their entire lives and received different types of coaching to improve their dating skills before starting the show. At 4 I went downstairs to meet the people going to the Shifen for the floating lanterns. This wasn't originally in the itinerary but Yeh laoshi recommended we do it so our bus driver receives another day of pay. There was only 10 of us who decided to go. Peter brought us to a shop that sells lanterns and I shared one with 3 other people. We all painted our wishes on a side of the lantern before we went out to the train tracks to send it off. The worker taking our pictures and videos was really cool. He gave us so many different poses to do. Afterwards I bought a huge mango ice cream and shared it with my group.

We came back to the hotel and I did laundry at a nearby laundromat. Then I went out to a club called Wave with a few friends. It was really different from Gainesville clubs but that's to be expected lol. We stayed out pretty late and now my knees are dead from jumping so much. We also made a lot of friends there. There were a lot of other international students from Vietnam and South Korea.

Q1. What was your reaction when you first heard about the Asia tour?

My first Asia tour in about five and a half years(?) since “LOVE LIVE! SUNSHINE!! Aqours World LoveLive! ASIA TOUR 2019”! This time I'm going as part of the Love Live! Series, so I'm really excited. I'm happy to be able to share our works across the sea, and since the three of us will be going as group representatives of Aqours, I hope to convey the feelings of the other members and the feeling of “Aqours is the best!" I want to make the best memories with everyone.

Q2. What kind of image do you have of the venue of the Taipei performance?

I visited Taipei in 2019 when Aqours toured Asia solo! I still remember going to the night market back then! It was dazzling and everything was so photogenic! I hope I can go to more places than last time (lol).

Q3. Is there anything you would like to achieve or try in the Taipei performance?

It's been my dream to perform in Taipei again, so I'm really glad to be able to after such a long time! I want to go to the night market again, and I also want to experience the Shifen sky lanterns!! I want to visit Jiufen Old Street too, but I heard it's a bit far from Taipei, so I'd like to go there the next time I come to Taipei!! Also, I want to eat a lot of xiaolongbao!

Q4. What are your feelings toward the Taipei performance as Aqours, and what are you talking about with your fellow members?

I'm thankful the Taipei show will be Aqours' solo concert! First of all, this is my first performance in Taipei in about five and a half years. I hope I'll be able to convey the charm and love of Aqours and Love Live! Sunshine!! to everyone who comes to see us and vice versa. This time, the three of us are representing Aqours, but our feelings are shared by all nine of us. I want to make it a performance of love with everyone.

Q5. Please give a message to everyone who's looking forward to the tour!

This joint Asia tour is a new attempt for the Love Live! Series! There'll be series joint performances as well as solo performances by each group. I hope every performance will bring together everyone's feelings and make you think, “The Love Live! Series is the best!" We have a lot of fun things in store for you, so please look forward to them!! The story we realize together. Let's realize this Asia tour together.
