Day 11: ~ Pets

This is late because my own cat escaped (She is back now) and I got a little sick looking for her out in the Snow. The pets prompt felt like an obvious choice for our very own Canon Little Guy to get a chance to be here. Jowd...is also here. I like Jowd. My Sissel notes below!

"You're looking at this picture confused, probably. Don't worry, I took this picture also confused.

There's a lot of Sissels here so it's inevitable that I don't have a picture of every single one of them! I'm getting as many as I can! They're really helpful though when they recognize me as the one who's still taking photos after photoshoot day and ask me to take theirs. Which is what happened here. Jowd??? Jowd is a Sissel????? You married Jowd and I've finally caught you...not how I thought I imagined the affair, right. No, no. He puts his hands up and points at the cat. Did I mention the cats by the way? Every other Sissel has brought a cat. That's why I thought it was Jowd who was a Sissel but...

He meant the cat is a the Sissel. The Sissel who wanted his picture taken??? You aren't a cat in another world. I mean you probably are but not like this! 'I won't investigate' Not this time!! I tried, I really did try but Jowd (and it IS Jowd. No odd magic here, it's JUST Jowd) didn't answer any of my questions. He only did that annoying cop thing where he says things, but they mean literally nothing and only are a means to lead the conversation somewhere else. Good to know he does that shit no matter the world!! Annoying! I didn't get nothing at all though. Talking to Jowd is hopeless but the cat. Sissel. Sissel is much better to talk to and way more open. Even if I only understood him through Jowd.

According to him: He is a Sissel, not married or engaged to Yomiel like the rest of us are (Though he does love him just as much!), nor is Jowd. Jowd is only his translator since Sissel can only talk to people who have 'cores of the dead'. Which means that they die and then he brings them back with his 'Ghost Tricks'. That he gained from getting hit and dying from the meteorite shard. I've long understood that I need to just suspend my disbelief when I hear about magic, but Jowd definitely sniffed out that I don't actually know what he's talking about. He told him not to answer any more about their world! Bastard. I wasn't going to not take his picture though. No matter how many times I see this little guy, he's still adorable. Look he's smiling! I think!

At this point, there's a lot of common themes around this place. I don't mean us all being Sissel and having you in common. I mean, the meteorite, death, ghosts...and a cat that more times than not has my name. This little talk with Sissel and his Jowd solidify it. But, I don't know what 'it' actually is. Not that it's any of my business. Patterns will pattern, I guess.

What I forgot was to ask him was how he read his invitation..."

My Sissel here is just a gal i made for fun, and she's featured in my fic Ghost Trick: Small Difference (tho I've failed to update it in a while...) i still love her dearly.

my concept was "what is Sissel was kinda punk rock" and here we are

she's hyperactive and social and loves to goof a bit. she also very intense, and takes her feelings to a bit of an extreme most times, but Yomiel tends to mellow her out so she's a bit more stable.

doesn't have much family in her life, and while there's people she would call friends they are very close to her. Not like Yomiel.

She has a big soft spot for people younger then her, feels the need to be a support and moral boost for them.

while canonically she never met any of the grick casts besides Yomiel I think shed like Lynne and Kamila.

i don't really have a backstory for her,,,,, if you wanna make something up you have my permission honestly it'd be pretty cool to see what other people think.

Day 9: Encounter ~ Undone

This week 2 drawing is for @bardace's Sissel Delune! Who has a few comics of her doing Yomiel's hair on their blog. I think that's Adorable!!! But the "Undone" half gave me ideas. Like last time; Below are my Sissel notes. Happier this time!

"Not everything I've heard is like Angel's predicament. There's actually some pretty funny ones. Maybe if I ask around enough, I can find a Yomiel that doesn't wear that awful red! So far, no luck. Red suit, tall blonde hair everywhere I listen in. Which is strange...there's no Sissel that looks like another. Which is bad news for you. I'm not taking pictures of every Sissel for no reason! We're doing a ranking!! I'M different but YOU stay mostly the same?? What's really your type of woman???

Mostly. Mostly the same. There are probably things some Sissel's aren't announcing to everyone, I don't feel like investigating too much. It's for the best lest I get some more awful details. Avoiding the less fortunate Sissel's stories is easy if I trail Delune, though. She's hard on herself but it just means she's more likely to talk about you. Nothing but good or embarrassing things either, of course with a damn picture to boot. Her bag is too small to keep that many...

I've basically lived her life with all this damn talking, makes sense she writes. Got a hell of a lot to say about you. Same college, just like us. Proposed at the same time, not like us. OH, not like us at all, she made your hair like that! Yours was already that shape when we met. She cycled through a few(Pictures...obviously) before you settled with the cone. That's really cute actually. I can imagine how happy you must've been to find something that fits you, then was made just for you. It's sweet. Delune says you would've cut your hair otherwise, thank god she saved you. Your hair...I would mourn if I lost it.

It didn't last very long though. You called her from work about an emergency, the rain had got you and your umbrella was too short to keep your head under it. Delune found you blindly stumbling down the road with your hair in front of your face trying to find her or go home. THAT was a picture I had to see! No, I didn't take a picture of her picture, just in case you think about asking. Embarrassing shots like that are best kept for a Sissel to laugh at and her Yomiel to not know she took them. The karma would get me, then you'd find out where I keep mine.

Anyway. You should let me do your hair. I want to make a style for you too!"

WIZARD SISSEL (heavy metal guitar riff)

the costume contest is upon us and sissel has....summoned true thunder and lightning magics to demonstrate her incredible cosmic power? oh wait, that's just a really well made set piece. sissel when did you have time to do that.

her robes are inspired by this, since i cannot let it pass uncredited. the rest of her d&d-esque party, in her mind, goes like this:

"Oh, why'd I pick these options?

Lampy: Angel seems like the obvious choice for a cleric, but Lampy suits the class better, obviously. She's lit up from inside, like with divine power. She's even solar-powered! That's celestial!

Cool/Punk Sissel: She just seems monk-y. If I had to bet money on who here did parkour, I would say her. But also because she seems smart, you know? Monks study and stuff. In those monasteries.

Bug: She's got that glass cannon build. Lots of energy and really good at what she does, but if you can get her she goes down. Like that tennis game the other day.

DeLune: I dunno how strong she is physically, but she's real passionate. She totes around that camera everywhere, at least. She's definitely the type to get hit with hysterical strength in a crisis.

Angel: Her and DeLune, I wasn't sure about, but we needed *someone* to be the physical fighters for the sake of party comp...and she's sporty, right, so she does physical activities! Maybe she can be an archer if she's not an up-close girl.

Why am I a wizard? Uh......... 'cuz I wanna."

Day 5! I keep drawing cat Sissel....but hey, when you bring a cat for your +1, you have to keep your charge entertained!

Sissel is very satisfied with herself. "Organized the convention" Sissel is very stressed about attendees bleeding. Cat Sissel can assure her he's on the case; he's gonna kill those feathers for SURE this time.

WHEN UNINSPIRED, STEAL! I had no idea what to do today, so I copied from this Dungeon Meshi Daydream Hour comic (yes, I own it in Japanese. No, I don't speak Japanese. The Kinokuniya staff said these bonus volumes rarely came out in English; guess what's on sale in the US this May?)

Sisselcon Day 2: Group Photoshoots! I wanted to draw a bunch of sissels in a group cosplay but I wasn’t sure what fit them… and then I remembered that Six the musical is literally about six dead women who dated the same guy learning to define themselves on their own merits and tell their own stories, so it’s literally perfect. I had so much fun drawing them all!!!

Day 2: Group Photoshoots

"Miel. Would it be self-centered to say...I really love myself?"

Sissel took photos herself!! Below are her notes back to Yomiel about every individual Sisselphoto!

"The Sissel who greeted me, Angel. For simplicities sake, every Sissel is getting a nickname. Honestly, I didn't trust the portal...so when I stepped through and saw her? Halo and all?? I asked her if I died and if she was the angel to welcome me. Embarrassing. But she thought it was funny so SCORE!! For both of us, eh? She's a sweetie, I have to thank her somehow for getting me here..."

"Wrench. Every Sissel I meet I get...is there a word for being jealous of yourself? Whatever it is, Wrench is such a dear. Reminds me of college a whole bunch and she smells like the workshop there too. Gross, but sweet that another me is suffering the hells of machinery. Taking a photo of her from my angle was...well, you know. I had to get on top of another Sissel for this. My pride. But it's worth it! Look at her smile!! As for her name? Her head. Kind of wrenchy looking. What do you know she had one on her!! Other Sissels are trying to tell me 'No they're cat ears!' But I know I'm right!!"

"Standing on another Sissel basically alerted everyone I was taking special photos for myself. I'm glad I packed a big bag...There's so many. THIS Sissel though...Talk about energy. Yanked my camera from me and took these herself. Then had the gall to say, 'I've got you covered, shorty'. That's not my nickname. Don't think it is. I would've stamped her for that! But she's...punky. A woman in leather isn't a woman to mess with. Actually talking to her wasn't so bad. Just a lot. Like a LOT, whew. For now, She's cool. Cool Sissel."

"Nevermind. This one was a handful. 'Delune'. I would've had a nickname for her but oh well. Delune is kind of pretty, honestly. Her and her name, I mean. I would start another debate about hair shape but I'll hold back. YOU get to know though: Crescent. Lune, the moon, crescent hair? Figured her out. Anyway, handful like I said. I got the picture of her, and she just started showing me her fuckton of pictures she had of you. Well. Her you. But still!! Her bag was full of them!! She kept going and going about every single one and the memory behind them and on and on. Tell me. Do I prattle on like that when I talk about you?? I was only able to escape from her because OTHER Sissels were starting their Yomiel stories too....I wish I brought pictures of you..."

"I AM SO SORRY. While escaping I almost stepped on her. She's watching me write her note. This is Lampy. I was going to say Flowey but something about it felt wrong. So, she's Lampy. Miel, I cannot stress enough how little she is. I started tearing up at the idea I could've crushed her. Thank gods she glows. As an apology I have become her chariot, so this doesn't happen again. I'm kind of surprised a Sissel like this could be out there but at the same time, considering how I got here? Should've seen it coming. Lampy is telling me about her world and how everyone is just like her. Little foods and objects. I want to go...Hey, can you guess what thing her Miel is? You get 1 chance..."
