More than 50 million people from Philadelphia to Boston are bracing for a potentially historic winter storm that could leave up to three feet of snow in its wake. The National Weather Service said the nor'easter would bring heavy snow, powerful winds and widespread coastal flooding starting Monday and through Tuesday. Yahoo News reporters are tracking the storm updates live.

#BwaySnowDay Update

No surprise, really, but it is now official that the three Broadway shows (Chicago, Mamma Mia, and Phantom) originally scheduled to have a Monday performance are canceling their shows for tonight.

Quite a rare occurrence.

Smart move on the Broadway Alliance's behalf, though, as even New York locals, who might normally take advantage of a tourist-light night in Times Square, seem to be in panic mode over the impending storm.

(I am no exception- just waited a half hour on line to checkout at the supermarket after realizing I didn't have any long burning candles in my apartment. #LessonsFromSandy)

Anyway, the only shows that seem to have already cancelled their performances for tomorrow night are Disney's two productions, The Lion King and Aladdin.
