Seriously. Fuck the AHC and their “breed standards.” Why the fuck is it standard to harm a pet? Idfc if it’s done when they’re buds! They think that just because they’re babies that it hurts less? Fuck that.
“Oh, they’re so young they won’t ever know the difference because they won’t remember it.” Telling me you’re intentionally causing injury—for the aesthetic—to babies because they won’t remember you intentionally injuring them is not the flex y’all think it is. Fucking tellin’ on yourselves, AHC.
well yeah i have a pet hydra and it only has one head. i'm not going to cut its head off just to make it look cooler, you asshole. that's seriously unethical. and i'm not letting you cut its head off either. if you really want a hydra with multiple heads, you should go for a rescue- but if you want your pet to look cooler at the cost of its physical health, maybe you shouldn't get any kind of pet at all. no, the hydra's not for guarding my evil tower, it's my pet. have you ever heard of a pet? like a puppy or a kitty? you think i can't defend my evil tower by my self?

It’s that time. Olive gets spayed today. I can’t believe how quickly time went. I am so nervous. I will miss her so much today. It’s amazing the amount of love we carry for these tiny little beings in such a short amount of time. Come home to me safely sweetheart. 🧡🖤🤍

needing help to pay for a vet expenses for my cat! if youre able to, please send what you can to my girlfriend's cashapp $nalathequeen2186 or paypal @nalathequeen2186 !
me and my girlfriend ( @ashtwinproject22 ) are needing at least between $250-300 as soon as possible for vet expenses. (hopefully the estimate we were given at the vet will be accurate to the final payment and we wont have to pay for anything extra...)

⬆️ this is my sweet silly boy yayo!
we've taken him in to be checked out at a vet and were prescribed some anti-bacterial medicine for him, but we will need to bring him in again both for getting the lump on his side removed, and to deal with a really bad ear infection thats caused his lymph nodes to swell. we have about $5 left over from previous donations after yayo's examination and prescription.
i had a previous post asking for help to also get some strays cats fixed- but they are now fixed and recovered, so i'm making a smaller post just for yayo. but you can check the old one for more information if you'd like.
⚠️ the gofundme we started was canceled and the account was deleted with no warning or explanation, and we have no idea what could have caused this. apparently this is an issue with gofundme we werent aware of :/ so anything anyone may have sent through that should have been returned to the donators, and we did not get anything through it.

My first TNR (trap, neuter, return) 🐾
Siu Siu, a tiny market kitten from the veggie stall, somehow wrapped herself around my heart.

^ photos by @sometimeinhongkong
She’d just started going into heat, and with a crew of unneutered male cats nearby, I knew what was coming—more kittens I’d end up caring for.
Catching her wasn’t easy—she was smooth. But I took her in, had her neutered. After a month at the shelter, yesterday was the day I had to bring her back. Letting her go was harder than I imagined.

I hope her people see the love behind what I did—and take care of her the way she deserves.
Small steps, big impact. 🐱

TNR: Trap. Neuter. Release.
This is how Trap, Neuter, and Release works:
Trap – Feral or stray cats are humanely trapped using safe, baited cages.
Neuter (or Spay) – The cats are taken to a veterinarian to be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and sometimes treated for any health issues.
Release – After a short recovery period, the cats are returned to the exact location where they were found.
Why is this exactly important? Well...
It prevents more baby kittens from being born into the world and being homeless. One pair of cats can lead to hundreds of kittens in just a few years. TNR stops that cycle.
Neutered cats are less likely to fight, roam, or spread disease. Isn't that amazing?
TNR is widely supported by animal welfare organizations because it’s proven to work—both for the cats and the communities they live in.

BODHI, Boxer Mix, Paintsville KY General Information My boyfriend took Bodhi in on 11-18-22 and we have been fostering him for 2 and a half wonderful years. We believe he was a year old so his “4th birthday/3rd gotcha day” will be observed 11-18-25. I’m guessing he’s a boxer mix (appearance + temperament) though we haven’t done a DNA panel. I understand Bodhi was just running the roads of Van Lear, KY, and living off the charity of others. Some were concerned that he would be hit on the highway. Donnie's boss asked him to take him in, so he came to live here and be called Bodhi. He was neutered and currently has out-of-date vaccinations. His 4DX test in February 2023 came back positive for Lyme Disease. Bodhi is tall and thin, weighing 50 pounds. He sports a short, sleek coat, requiring little maintenance. While he has been networked to rescues, they were all either overwhelmed or hesitant that he might be a pitbull mix. He might be! If that bothers you, read no further.

Personality & Behavior Bodhi is silly, playful, and loving. He’s the perfect dog except for one pretty serious trait. If you let him off that leash, he’s gone! Half his brain shuts all the way down and he runs around like a small child after a big iced coffee. This behavior is fairly baked in but rather than defining him by his limitations, we’re working on this daily. We use food, affection, and praise to motivate him. Bodhi would not respond well to verbal correction, physical correction, negative reinforcement, leash popping, etc. due to his sweet, timid nature. He needs a patient and consistent focus on building joy and confidence.

Health & Medical Bodhi hasn’t had operations or surgeries outside of being neutered. His tail may have been docked when he was a puppy. He sometimes experiences constipation (knotty poop) but so far doesn’t have any known allergies or sensitivities that would require a restrictive diet. He doesn’t have health concerns at this time. He’s naturally quite thin and fit, with a healthy appetite and activity level. Please recall that he did test positive for Lyme Disease on his 4DX in early 2023 and was prescribed a monthlong round of Doxycycline.

Training & Socialization Bodhi receives counter-conditioning, socialization, and obedience training here. He knows several basic commands including Sit, Down (all 4 paws on the floor), Come, In, Out, Shake, and he loves to please. Strangers intuitively call him “Buddy” and he just rolls with it. He’s a hit with anyone he meets! Bodhi is a great companion on any calm outing, even the long ones. Car rides are fun and breezy. He can be a bit impatient at the beginning of walks if he has excess energy. Bodhi is proficient at displaying friendly and non-confrontational behavior when he meets other dogs and wins them over as a playmate. As a boxer, he loves to romp around and throw hands. I can confidently say he approaches new cats (always do this in a controlled environment) with curiosity and friendliness too. It isn’t unusual to find him fast asleep with a cat. If he encountered one "in the wild" I'm sure he would give chase, and who knows what else. He doesn’t like chaos, loud noises, gunshots, fireworks, people carrying boxes, moving the furniture, gates, and doors that swing wide, and birds unexpectedly flying out of a nearby shrub… if you’re the slightest bit neurotic, you get it. He’s not aggressive, he’s a scaredy-cat. Bodhi is crate trained and he stays in his crate when I am asleep or gone. If I don’t do this, he will make some confetti out of any tasty morsels or scrumptious garbage he can sniff out. Like running free, this behavior is self-reinforcing and something he’ll try to do if he gets the chance. In a former life, the neighbors' trash cans and generously donated leftovers were his meals.

Lifestyle and Living Situation Bodhi needs a life full of movement and exercise with a human who has a lot of time to spend just hanging out. As much as he loves to run and play, he is also a big fan of modern amenities. Cooling off in the summer, staying warm in the winter, comfy furniture, special treats… oh yeah, he’s pretty used to the cushy life now. I think he’d be great with older children but I can just see him knocking your little ones over like bowling pins now. We’re working on it, but that would definitely be a big challenge for a young family. When my man isn’t walking, hiking, or playing with the other dogs, you’ll find him passed out in a comfortable chair or laying in your bed like a person. He’ll watch tv with you and try to keep the snoring to a minimum, we swear. He needs to be on a leash or in a supervised, fenced-in area. Tethering would not be appropriate for him but he can walk on a long line and we have a good time doing that. It also provides a safe and effective way to build the value of his recall so that maybe, someday, he won’t be such a flight risk.

Please contact me with any questions you have. If you'd like to adopt Bodhi, tell me why you believe he'd be a good fit. If it doesn't work out, I'll take him back. [email protected]

Making progress!

Amos is making sure that I see him munching on pellets so I know that he does not want to be force-fed ever again. I think we're both still traumatized by his rapid transformation into a fluffy tornado of teeth and claws. Thankfully, he had the good grace to take his bite-y wrath out on the towel. Alas, my arms are testament to the sharpness of his newly vet-clipped nails.

Naomi is munching on her celery and giving me the side-eye. She still hasn't forgiven me for baiting her into my lap with a papaya treat and switching to giving her pain meds instead. (She got the papaya bite afterwards, I'm not a complete monster!) Granted, she did nip me in a place that totally violates the girl code along with on my arm and fingers during her day and a half of force-feedings every 2 hours, so that should be more than enough payback. Girlfriend holds a grudge!
They're both recovering well and don't need pain meds anymore. They're eating more each day and have been hitting their greens and pellets pretty hard. I'm going to give them each some yard time tomorrow so they can get some exercise now that they're off the pain meds. I'll keep a close eye on them so they don't run amok, but being able to feel pain if they overdo it should help them go easy with the playtime for now.

yo would anyone be able to help out and send me and my girlfriend ( @ashtwinproject22 ) some money for some kitty-wellness?
TLDR; we need help to get 3 female stray cats fixed asap as its mating season, and get one of my cats lump checked at a vet before fixing him too. this all can cost anywhere from approx $157 to $253+ the unknown price for potentially removing the lump. if you can help, my girlfriend's cashapp is $nalathequeen2186 and paypal is @nalathequeen2186 !
(also please check the reblogs when you can, in case i have any updates about prices, if we reach the amount we need, changes to the situation, etc. will also show updates of the kitties when we can get them fixed/to the vet, to prove were getting it all done!)

the strays weve been trying to help out ⬆️
my sweet silly boy with the lump (ft. me) ⬇️

full explanation under the cut:
one of my brothers and his girlfriend moved in with us until they can find a place, and they brought over the cats that were living under their house that theyve helped take care of, but theyre mostly stray, and unfortunately my brother is very "let nature run its course" about outside cats 🙄
its 3 sister mama cats, and we already took in their 3 surviving babies, and have gotten 2 of the babies fixed and have the 3rd one scheduled to be fixed in less than a week. so atm, we have 7 cats in this house, and as much as i would love to, we just cant take in the 3 mamas as well, even though theyre incredibly sweet.
im unsure what our full plan will be about the 3 mamas, especially since im unsure what my brothers plans with them will be once he and his gf move back out (were not exactly on speaking terms right now since hes been a total piece of shit about me and my gf struggling with mentall illness- which he doesnt even believe is real 🙄🙄🙄). im hoping we can get them nice homes, but at least for now were wanting to get the three of them fixed so there wont be more stray cats, and especially not more kitties dying out there. and unfortunately, mating season slipped my mind and is now upon us, so we REALLY need to get these mamas fixed ASAP.
and in addition to that, one of my cats has this large-ish lump on his right side that were wanting to get checked out, and get him fixed as well. i suspect that its nothing serious, considering it doesnt seem to cause him any issues- he'll even lay on it without a problem- but im worried about it nonetheless, and we'll need to get it checked out and potentially removed before we can get him fixed in case it could cause complications during the neutering.
unfortunately, as you can imagine since im making this post, we dont really have the money for this. my mom, who we live with, rarely has much extra money and certainly doesnt atm, and me and my girlfriend have been struggling with too many mental health issues- and for her, physical health issues as well- to get a job for a while now. things will be improving soon now that we have adhd diagnoses, but my gfs insurance is dragging its feet to finally get her adhd medication approved, and i only JUST finally got my own a few days ago, and am basically playing extreme catch-up with trying to get stuff done around the house right now and help out my mom more.
im really not sure exactly how much everything will amount to, but so far ive figured up getting all 3 mamas fixed should be either about $75 if a certain program the spay/neuter clinic nearby has for strays/ferals can be used, or if not itll be between $111-171, and getting just an exam to check out my cats lump would be around $55, and i dont know how much a potential fixing/removal of the lump could be as i cant get an estimate until hes examined. then itll be $27 to get him neutered.
so if this is all right, and were able to use the program, theres no health risk with the lump, and no other additional charges for anything else, all of this can cost about $157 or so as the minimum, OR it could be around $253 PLUS however much it may cost to fix up the lump.
(also as a bonus pic, heres the 3 precious babies we took in that the mamas were collectively taking care of. theyre living a nice cozy indoor life now and are very happy and SO sweet <3)

Im aware that spay/neuter is expensive. Maybe it’s not part of a persons culture (some cultures are better at preventing overpopulation without medical intervention and we can learn from them) or the community doesn’t want to provide aid to make it affordable.
Now granted if these kittens are born outside a good number will die. Also mom might die giving birth so none of this might happen, regardless of where she’s giving birth.
This is an average.
The poster says.
🐱 At just 6 months old this cat became a mother.
At just 1 year she became a grandma and great grandma.
🐱 In just 1 year old she gave birth on Jan 1st. She gave birth again on April 1st, again on July 28th, and again on October 19th. (5 kittens each)
….she became a grandma
kittens born Jan 1st can give birth in early July. (25 kittens all together)
Kittens born in April 1st can give birth on Oct 27th (25 kittens all together)
And she became a great grandma
25 kittens born in early July can give birth to in late December
