21 kitties is a lot to draw, but I have so much fun, making them all! Unfortunately I have a rule that if a clan gets over 30 alive cats in camp, I’m gonna turn on extinction events to keep populations low.

my current clangen is so fun i have never been so attached to a clan! i've even got as far as one of my cats being a great-grandparent, which i've never done before. they're called springclan, i just wanted to share some highlights from ~70 moons in

one of my senior warriors had to kill her former apprentice for 2 counts of murder, then became mates with said murderer's mother

murderer cat also had two younger siblings. when murderer had 4 half-clan kits, one of his younger sibs was SO JEALOUS of him that he went and had 4 kits with an outsider out of pure spite at like. 17 moons.

there's so much uncertainty in the clan now almost exclusively because of that family. and it only gets worse. the senior warrior- yes the one who mentored & killed the murderer- was given one of the jealous younger sibling's kits to train. the two of em go on patrol with one of the murderer's kits, who literally sets a trap that kills the apprentice (her COUSIN, mind you) right in front of that senior warrior. who is grandparent-in-law to both of them...

it's absolutely wild. and also really sad to see the senior warrior and murderer's mother grieve over their cursed family.

i made this draft post a little while ago, and now there's only 2 out of the 9 murderer's mother's kits still alive :( she lost her original mate (not the senior warrior dw), and most of her first and second litters through wrongdoings and disasters. would it be funny or extremely upsetting if i told you one of the remaining kits is the younger sibling who was jealous of the murderer. his kits are a bit evil but he seems to be more connected to his mother and remaining older sibling now that the murderer is dead

so yeah. that's how clangen's going *eye twitching*. but it is a really fun, A++++ game

Description: Sandpatch's quiet and timid nature is a large contrasts to Firestar's loud and outgoing personality. Often keeping to himself and preferring the quiet monotony of his daily life over anything else. Many in the clan wonder why Sandpatch simply didn't become a mediator rather then a warrior. With the new arrival of his first kits Sandpatch often contemplates retirement so he can simply stay and help his mate, but he still knows his former apprentice needs his guidance.

Here are the delightful Lionbrook and Goldenstone, Sunpaw’s dads! They love their son to death and enjoy embarrassing and coddling him to no end. Lion was a well-loved kittypet, and neighbors with Golden. They spoke nearly every day in Golden’s yard, as he was hardly allowed inside. Lion eventually saw how horrible Golden’s twolegs treated him and asked him to run away with him to the forest. After a few seasons as traveling together as loners, they stumbled upon and subsequently joined SpringClan. The couple tried for a few years to have kits, with either no luck or litters that passed within the first moons of their life. They were about to give up when Sunpaw happened! They like to call him their little miracle. Both are well respected in their clan, but are doing their best to ensure their anxious little son doesn’t feel too pressured to follow in their pawsteps.

CONTENT WARNINGS

Violence, Blood/ slight Gore, looots of character deaths

• There will be a lot of blood and gore-ish scenes throughout the entirety of the comic, as well as characters getting severely injured and killed on screen (including children)

Abuse

• Physical, emotional and verbal abuse will be shown on screen in present time as well as within flashbacks - applies to both adults and children throughout the entirety of the comic

Suicidal Ideation, severe trauma and general mental health issues

• There'll be scenes at some point where certain characters deal with suicidal thoughts/are implied to be suicidal, however, I will warn readers ahead when the time comes for those scenes to show up. Generally a majority of the (main) characters will be dealing with a lot of severe trauma, loss, grief, and mental issues/illnesses resulting of said trauma - although ATS is a slow-burn-ish comic, please do keep all of this in mind when reading!

i love clangen so much. i love the little details that can become so important even though they're completely randomly generated. a cat started wearing juniper berries after their nephew called juniperkit was killed. a cat getting last grief over a cat who i didn't even realise was his close friend this whole time. the way the statuses and patrols and events create their characters. my clangen save makes me so ill (both /pos and /srs??) because i love these silly tragic kitties

Description: While the youngest leader she is also considered the wisest and kindest. Firestar is the one often keeping the clans from breaking into an all out war and is the only leader who seems to be able to be on Toadstar's good side.
