7 years ago today, I sang the theme song to the animated feature film ‘Moomins and the Winter Wonderland’. I adore the Moomins so it was a great honour to sing both the English & Japanese versions.

I also did the voice-acting for the red squirrel!

Mahoutsukai no Yome, translation of the first pages (1 to 5) as a preview in English and French

Here is a little preview of what chapter 109 of Mahoutsukai no Yome tells us (at the beginning, page 1 to 5). Take into account that I am self-studying Japanese (it was a great exercise) and I don't know if I will translate the other pages before the 14th. Small bonus at the end (spoiler not very spoiler…)

Voilà un petit un aperçu de ce raconte le chapitre 109 de Mahoutsukai no Yome (au début, de la page 1 à 5). A prendre en compte que j’étudie en autodidacte le japonais (ce fut un chouette exercice) et je ne sais pas si je traduirais les autres pages avant le 14. Vocaloid Songs You Might Have Missed - September 2023

Hi, welcome to my blog. I'm a long-time fan of the Vocaloid scene. In recent years, numerous Vocaloid star producers have broken out and become household names in Japan, while others have cornered the utaite market and find continuous viral success on YouTube and Nicovideo.

I want to highlight some of the best yet-to-be-discovered music being produced with Vocaloids and other vocal synths.

This is a personal list, so I'm mostly avoiding certain kind of song that I call "vtuber bait." I've struggled for weeks to articulate what that means, because I'm wary of saying that everything I don't like is "vtuber bait," but it's the kind of thing where you know it when you hear it, right? No hate (mostly) but there's just so much of it out there.

I left some notes on the most standout or interesting songs on the list, but I'll throw my weight behind every one of these being worth your critical listen. Finally, excuse the broad categories. It's mainly for my own organization, but it's also no fun to start a song expecting one thing and getting a face full of distorted gabber kicks.

It grows in fields, its stems, which start growing in spring, become about eighty centimeters to one meter tall, and it produces many small, fine flowers around top of the stem in early summer.

As the name suggests, the leaves and stems taste sour when sucked raw. In the past, children would suck on these while playing in the fields, and the name of this grass often appear in poems and novels. In the Kantō region, where I live, it is often called すかんぽ[Sukanpo].

*Ainsi le [Moi] fut changé en la [Moi] -> En résumé 『僕』 (boku) est plus masculin/neutre (représentant la vie passé de Michaela en tant que Michael) alors que 『私』 (watashi) est plus féminin représentant depuis se résurrection en tant que femme

** [Moi] et [Moi] se retrouvèrent -> Pour faire simple, je pense que chacun des moi représente à la fois Michaela et Eve, en sachant que la forme humaine sur laquelle Michaela se basa pour renaître n’est rien d’autre qu’Eve. Ainsi deux corps identiques se firent face tout en étant différent.

***Histoire 3 Châtiment -> Tout simplement une erreur de mothy je pense dans le rendu (car selon la logique c’est l’Histoire 4 et non 3 voilà…

　 je suis en securite. 地震発生から 一週間になろうかというところ。 こちらはライフラインには問題なく、 しかし揺れによって とっ散らかった2Fの片付けが なかなか進まない。 余震もまだあるので 階下の玄関に近い場所で 寝起きする日々。 （これを書いている今も揺れました） 　 能登の祖父母の家がある集落は 倒壊家屋が多いながら、 先ほどようやく 電気が復旧したとの知らせあり。 親戚やお世話になっている方々の 安否も確認できています。 北陸は今夜から 気温が下がるので、 引き続き安全第一で、そして 少しでもあたたかくして 過ごしていてほしい。 　 5日ぶりに、まずは徒歩で買い物に。 スーパーマーケットの床に 八方に伸びた亀裂。 窓が吹っ飛んで 雨ざらしになっている家もあるそうで。 　 その後、給油しに こちらも5日ぶりに 車を動かす。 市内の旧宅まで行ってみようかとも 思ったけれど、 もうちょっと落ち着いてからに しようかな。 　 とにかくもうしばらく 用心して過ごすことにします。
