On the media end, let’s make sure to be very gentle, laid-back and kind as a fandom towards sapphic public figures such as artists. We must demonstrate that we hold a lot of goodwill and positive enthusiasm and are worth marketing to, and we definitely won’t attempt to dogpile and destroy their careers if they make some arbitrarily imperfect move that we don’t like. We’ll have to be sure to avoid getting toxically parasocial towards their personal lives and not police who they date and their identities! This will ensure sapphic artists will feel safe to keep sharing their experiences with us and offering us valuable representation. We should also make sure new artists don’t find sapphic fandom hostile and impossible to please, and aren’t afraid to come out, especially as lesbian.

On the personal end, we should watch out for all sapphics and include them in community events. The sapphics with boyfriends are statistically likely to face high mental illness, substance abuse, identity suppression, and intimate partner violence due to their queer identity. We have to make sure we’re a support system for them to fall back upon if needed. We should avoid exacerbating any bisexual cultural dysphoria or androcentric desire stereotypes (comphet) that fluid queer women might be struggling with. Comphet is bad enough when it comes from straight people! Their continued involvement in sapphic spaces regardless of their current relationship status will likely lead them to meeting women they may date in the future!

But, anyway, it's Mercy and Fox (from left to right). I'm going to point out some of the small details because I spent two hours on this, I'm going to talk about it.

Fox doesn't have a visible sketch (the general shapes are still there, of course) because she's not actually there.

"You brought them home." Is a reference to Reunion Square, where Fox says: "Get them home alive" towards Mercy. Pretty blatant, but, yeah.

Uh, diving into captain obvious stuff, but the text matches their colors. Yeah, I don't know why I made it a list. It really didn't need to be...

Context(?): Mercy is sitting in front of a door (hence the light), hiding from the Warriors after going out (unassisted) and paying the consequence for it. She's not badly beat, just suffering from beat-up knuckles and a bloody nose. Swan told her not to go out - she didn't have directions of the place and was clearly not in the right head space if anything happened - Mercy, clearly, did not follow that warning and is trying to avoid Cochise (the best with an aid kit) to avoid a lecture. Here, she sits, alone and drained from a long day. Fox sits with her, fully understanding she can not comfort their new member, yet that won't stop her from trying. (I originally drew Cyrus with Fox too, trying to make sense of the scene. Fox simply said, 'Family doesn't leave family.' and Cyrus was left to think about it.)

Oh hey I hope you don’t mind me asking, this is purely out of curiosity but if you had to picture other duopath runs which characters would you pick and why? :)

Therion & Tressa are such a good combo I’m curious about which other traveler combinations would work well

hm thinking about which ones would be fun…. i think i can think of some that’d be fun

ship ones obvi would be funny, so alfyn/therion Primrose/Haanit, Olberic/Cyrus etc, also i think all of those combos are pretty good and can cover each other, i think Alfyn/Therion probably has the easiest time of it (due to access to steal for equipment and then concoct is just really good) and olberic/cyrus probably has the hardest time of it? i think thats purely because cyrus is frail and might take some investment to make sure he’s not dying every 2 seconds. then again, olberic as a duo is pretty good since he always has incite access. basically cyrus needs saving grace asap i think

Prim/haanit i think mayyybe more middle of the road? you do always get sealticge but its more of a whole thing with just two party members instead of 4, but haanit can hit the big damage and having dancer prim she’s probably easier to minmax damage potential on since you can lion dance her etc… if you run one of them as thief you can probably do some kind of armor corrosive lion dance setup and let haanit just hit the double digit thousands

i think one of the things that would be difficult about both haanit/prim and olberic/cyrus is definitely the lack of path action to acquire npc items, you get literally soooooo much shit out of it it’s super helpful lol.

other ones i think would be fun

Alfyn/Ophilia: healerpath run. while you won’t have to rely on item healing (like i did for the majority of duopath), i think this one would be a fun like, find your damage method one. plus, these two are the ones who usually sit back as supports (at least in their base class roles), but push when push comes to shove- sorry you guys gotta do all the hard work of killing these guys on top of the healing. also the stretch between their ch3s and ch4s would be miserable for them sorry you two

Therion/Primrose: the two traumatized ones with loner streaks, that’s right we’re putting bff bracelets on you and forcing you to work together. i think these two have a kind of kinship friendship that they don’t quite share with any of the others, so they get along quite well, even though i think i’d find it hard to stick them together permanently without the glue of the rest of the party. but as a duopath, i think they could still be pretty fun, and i want primrose to have some help stabbing those guys. gameplay wise, having therion would be a huge benefit for path action reasons, plus thief is like. imo one of the best subclasses paired with anything so i think any duopath he’s in gets some added benefit.

Olberic/Tressa: i always liked their dynamic, as the oldest member and the youngest member they might have an almost parental kind of relationship, and something abt tressa’s plucky enthusiasm and Olberics more stoic, seasoned nature is always fun to me. Tressa is another items-getter path action (though slightly less good than steal, you’ll likely rack up enough money grinding that prices are trivial) which is a help, and merchant is extremely good in duopath due to hired help being one of the best damage options for any character who might not be able to set up huge numbers. olberic however, can set up huge numbers, which means that i think this duo would be super duper set in the damage department.

ophilia/cyrus: i think this is the one i’d do if i really wanted pain, because these two have no hp and will die. this is like, the challenge mode option, because one of the things about duopath is you’re going to be taking a lot of damage on your two characters where you would have that spread across your party. so this duo would require some interesting strategizing to raise those hp stats, figure out how to tank, and then, on top of that, how to dish out the big numbers. while magic is *good* ive always found that when you’re trying to hit big on breaks, you’re better off going for brand or aeber big hits. as well, you get no items path action to work with for them. as for the dynamic, they’re both friendly and agreeable so i think there’d be not much conflict between them, but i think you could have some fun especially by the end if they start to draw the galdera connections between them…

tbh playing the japanese fe if is making me see some supports n characters in a diff way. the biggest takeaway is joker/rinkas S support. i Hate it so much joker was so forceful n the romance was so sudden but in jakob/rinkahs S support the flow was so smooth and cute which is why tbe ship was one of my first few faves. also the idea of lethargic dwyer being the heir of the flame tribe is so funny to me. he isnt physically strong but he can be helpful.

now since im playing the japanese version i adore cyrus/rinkas whole supports theyre so cute. cyrus tried to convince rinka to play tag so tht she could get to know people 🥺 also in the S support rinka was the one looking for cyrus n it made him fluster its so cuuute. also sophie being the flame tribe heir sounds more matching n its funny. girl is Strong but she is causing mayhem everywhere. rinka is proud

Despite facing a backlash from its users, Spotify continues to introduce new policies which in no way aim to help either the artists or the listeners.

Demonetizing tracks with less than 1000 streams? Then, what's the point of putting up your music on a platform that claims to support new artists?

A new artist could get money when people purchase their vinyls/CDs and later comes the royalties of having their music played on the radio/TV as per people's demand but with streaming platforms nowadays, the likelihood of anyone buying physical copies of music or listening to the radio/TV has decreased drastically 'cause now, people can choose the music they want to listen to, at will.

With a surge of new users every single day, you'd imagine Spotify becoming an artist-friendly and user-friendly platform but NO- it keeps getting worse.

Spotify decided to shift certain basic features to Premium to increase the number of Premium Subscribers around the world. Features like playing music from a playlist/album in the designated order, going back to a certain part of a song, skipping a track or even listening beyond a certain time limit on the app have been taken away from the free users. As if the multiple ads after every song weren't enough, they took away the choices of its users and left them two options: look for another streaming platform or buy Premium. AND, now even the talk of raising Premium prices is going around!

Fine, I get it. You need to pay the artists who put music on your platform but then again, you refuse to pay artists for tracks with fewer streams? Seriously?

Spotify has a lot of fun features apart from music, like Podcasts and Spotify Wrapped for which people tune in on this platform, but with the introduction of such nuances in the present day, the listening experience only gets worse.

And what are people doing when they still want to have access to these fun features and, have a good listening experience at the same time? They're buying premium. They're falling into the trap of these schemes but mind you, NOT EVERYONE HAS GOT A PURCHASING POWER.

Not everyone has the luxury to pay for everything and enjoy the amenities these social media platforms provide to Premium users. So, what can be done?

Don't waste your money or your parents' money on this.

Uninstall the app and leave a review on your app store about why you did what you did.

Urge your favourite influential artists to speak up about this.

Remember when @taylorswift removed her whole catalogue from Spotify in 2014 because they refused to pay artists the money they owed to them? Spotify took immediate action and brought out the policy to pay artists as per streams.

So remember, changes like these do make a difference.
