COVID 19 Pandemic: उत्तर प्रदेश के एक पूर्व IAS अधिकारी पर पुलिस ने बुधवार को एक ट्वीट के लिए मामला दर्ज किया है. इसमें उन्होंने COVID-19 महामारी से संबंधित यूपी सरकार की टेस्टिंग नीति (UP govt’s Testing Policy) पर सवाल उठाए थे और आरोप लगाया था कि यूपी सरकार का एक शीर्ष अधिकारी जिलों में फील्ड अधिकारियों से कोविड-19 सैंपल्‍स टेस्टिंग की गति धीमी करने को कह रहा है. लखनऊ के हजरतगंज पुलिस स्टेशन (Lucknow’s Hazratganj Police Station) में गुरुवार शाम दर्ज FIR में पूर्व आईएएस अफसर सूर्यप्रताप सिंह (Surya Pratap Singh) के 10 जून के ट्वीट का जिक्र है. ट्वीट में उन्‍होंने लिखा है, ‘CM योगी की Team-11 की मीटिंग के बाद क्या मुख्य सचिव ने ज्यादा Corona Tests कराने वाले कुछ DMs को हड़काया कि “क्यों इतनी तेजी पकड़े हो, क्या इनाम पाना है, जो टेस्ट-टेस्‍ट चिल्ला रहे हो ?”@ChiefSecyUP स्थिति स्पष्ट करेंगे?’

पुलिस की FIR में कहा गया है कि ट्वीट में गलत तथ्य और गलत जानकारी हैं और इससे बड़े पैमाने पर लोगों में डर पैदा हो रहा है. सिंह के खिलाफ IPC की धारा 188 (लोक सेवक द्वारा विधिवत आदेश देने के लिए अवज्ञा), धारा 505-1 ((उकसाने का इरादा)), और महामारी नियंत्रण नियमों के अन्य वर्गों के तहत दर्ज किया गया है. सूर्यप्रताप सिंह 1982 बैच के IAS अधिकारी हैं जो 2015 में सेवानिवृत्त हुए हैं. उनकी अंतिम पोस्टिंग यूपी सरकार के प्रधान सचिव के रूप में थी लेकिन इस सेवानिवृत्त अधिकारी को नौकरी के दौरान भी उनके मुखर स्वभाव के लिए अधिक जाना जाता था. 2015 में सेवानिवृत्त होने से छह महीने पहले उन्‍होंने यह कहते हुए स्वैच्छिक सेवानिवृत्ति मांगी थी कि ‘एक ईमानदार अधिकारी के लिए यूपी में काम करना असंभव है’. उस समय समाजवादी पार्टी के अखिलेश यादव यूपी के मुख्यमंत्री थे. अपने वीआरएस आवेदन से पहले, सूर्य प्रताप सिंह सोशल मीडिया सहित विभिन्न प्लेटफार्मों पर तत्कालीन यूपी सरकार की आलोचना करने के लिए चर्चा में थे.
