Fitbit trackers can be a pain to get working on Android devices, sometimes they just work, others times it is a real struggle to get the right combination of settings and toggles.

So, in this video, there are three settings to check and change to make sure you have done everything possible to get the tracker to sync when it is supposed to and record your activities correctly.

Many people have the same problem. It seems to stem from the Android power management being too aggressive for the devices. Causing the Bluetooth connection to time out or give up during data transfer.

There is a method to stop the App being restricted, and allow th eApp to stay awake long enough in the background to complete it's sync. So in Oreo (other versions will vary slightly) you need to access the system settings menu using the cog icon and go into the battery options and make sure the settings are correct for the App. This normally means allowed the app to run in an not optimised state.

This should after a reboot of the device and phone allow the app to talk to each other and track your fitness and other monitored areas like sleep and heart rate.
