DREAM LAND AU: The Armor

When Bandana Tails finally finds Kirby Amy, he didn't lose time to tell her everything that happened and asks for her help with Meta Sonic's mask still on his hand.

After hearing all the thing that happened while she was taking a nap, the pink hedgehog remembered the fox those times when Meta Knight had lost control in the past and reassures him promising that everything is going to be fine. After all, the knight has been a pain for her in the neck for his persistence.

The moment of calm didn't last much, after reuniting they were soon attacked by invaders and the two of them made their way fighting.

Enemies, robots, all of them were defeated by the duo while looking at how the King Knuckles people also tried to stop the invaders from expanding their territory far away. And also, while fighting, the little fox took some time to inspect the robots that their enemies left while running.

Collecting robotic pieces on the way, he assembled a prototype of a computer able to enter the enemies system (the miles electric of this AU). And when he and Kirby Amy find the first Invader Armor with a pilot the fox ask to the pink hedgehog for an opening to test the device out.

Even if the armor seemed like a formidable opponent, Amy ends up cornering it enough for Tails to connect the Proto-Device and force the pilot to be ejected (Rocket Team style) and they both are left with an empty armor!

Experimenting a little, the fox notices that the stats of the armor are based on his pilot, so he rests the armor system and ask Kirby Amy to test the armor as a pilot while he checks how it works. A little unsure but trusting the fox instincts, she gets in only for the armor to take over her copy ability in the process (and of course giving Amy her own pilot ability).

Impressed with the result, Bandana Tails asks the pink hedgehog to try the armor himself but when he got in there was not a flashing answer like the one the armor had with Kirby Amy.

A little disappointed, the fox told Amy that maybe his lack of powers was the reason for the lack of reaction in the machine, only to receive an answer from a voice totally different from Amy's:

-That's not true.

Both of them stayed in silence, looking around they tried to find the source of the peculiar voice.

-The system can only set an established configuration at the time for an specific pilot.

Looking at each other without being able to process what was happening, both of them looked at the pair of bulbs at the center of the armor that for some reason resembled a pair of eyes.

-It can Talk?!

-... - there was a small silence that made both of them doubt what they heard, at least for a moment before getting an answer - ...Yes?
