In the latter case, if you have someone who just reallydoesn’t get the hint and keeps moving forward, you can watch the two slowlyshift around the room, and your Muse might start going in circles to hopefullymake the person dizzy. Though after a while, your Light player does learn tosmile and ask, “I’m sorry, but is it okay if we stand apart a bit? It’s easierfor us to talk like this!” Not only is their polite avoidance cute, but theircharacter development and ability to clearly state their needs in a respectfulmanner? Hella cute!

Because of thispreviously mentioned sensitivity to physical contact, your Muse finds it a loteasier to talk to people through technology. Whether they text all their schoolfriends or they’re part of several Discord servers, your Light player lovesbeing able to read back on what was said and having a chance to proofread whatthey write before they hit send. This means that our Muse of Light here isprobably one of the most well-spoken, informative people you’ll ever meet, aslong as your reading their words instead of hearing their slightly stuttering,nervous voice. Though honestly, both are pretty charming in their own way!

While a Muse of Light islikely to be a good student, or at least good enough, it’s not so much because they’reactively trying to do well but because they read a lot. And I mean a lot!Usually during times when you probably shouldn’t be reading, such as mid-blinddate, or as they’re being attacked by feral gerbils. In the Muse’s defense,there’s a good chance they’re reading up on how to survive either situation,but sometimes they really gotta get that Willa Cather content. Besides, whenthey get assigned to read Death Comes tothe Archbishop two years later, they’ll be ready!

So the idea of maid and sylph being paired is through creation, not healing. They bring more in not stitch together. Maid being active creation is seen through Aradia, Jane, and Porrims actions, Aradia created time, by beating up Vriska (which created an end to vriska's life) by stalling with doomed aradiabots against jack, and freezing him in time, buying time for others. Jane is seen creating life on her planet, by bringing the dead back only. Porrim separated her friends making space. 1/2

And on the passive, sylph create as a reaction. We see when people spend time with Kanaya they get distanced from others, pulled away, as happened to rose without Vriska, and Kanaya also unintentionally pulled Vriska away from others when they were Moirails. Instead of moving in to separate others, being around Kanaya separated others. Aranea also created light in a reactionary sense. She gave the player information only when asked, and only fixed terezi's eyes when asked, creating light. 2/3

The matter is that you seem to define passive/active as doing, not doing, when it works better as action, reaction. As such, maids go out and do, like princes go out and do, where sylphs react to their aspects lack, like bards react to their aspect's overabundance, so they act after, reacting to a lack or an abundance, where the maid and Prince act before there's a lack or an abundance. Active classes will prepare food before they are hungry, and passive will cook after they are. 3/3

there is a lot of shit going on here and i can’t parse some of it (prolly due to some spelling/grammar errors) but hoo boy i got shit to say that i prolly shouldn’t:

aradia killing someone is TAKING time from someone not “creating” it. so bad example.

forcing space between people seems less like “creating” space and more like “changing” what is already there. if they were to actually make an entirely new space to be in and then people went there instead of other places that would fit better. so far the only example ive seen of that is calliope’s hidey-hole.

anything have to do with vriska is gonna be tricky to pin down as one thing or the other because her whole deal in-comic was to be an agent of chaos and break the system as often and as hard as she could. so those are suspect examples, at best, because we don’t know how much was vriska fucking shit up and how much was the side-effects of other player’s classpects
