Playing through Omega Ruby for the first time! I had a copy of Alpha Saphirre growing up, but tbh. I've always been more of a Groudon guy, lol. So it's nice to finally be able to play this version.
Anyways, here's the gang so far.

And btw, I have entered an "I am an art God and everything I draw belongs in the louvre and nothing will stop me from drawing 5 hours a day" phase since starting the OR sketches. But not to worry, these are incredibly rare and normally only last about 5 to 6 days at best. So it should be over any second now.

Quick ! Your feelings on Seedot and why it is peak when unevolved !
What you don’t like Shiftry?
…actually fair. Tbh it wasn’t my first choice. Or my second. Or even my third. BUT. Dark is my favorite type, so I always have a dark type Pokémon on my team. And seedot was an early to get grass and dark type combi, so I’ll guess he will do.
But anyways yeah. Not a really appealing Pokémon design (to me at least), but I appreciate the folklore stuff that’s attached to Shiftry. So eh.
Seedot is of course peak design.

Out of curiosity, what do the nicknames of your pokemon mean (if they mean anything)?
Pharos the Mareep
Mareeps final evolution, Ampharos, is supposed to look a bit like a lighthouse. “Pharos” is the name of the Egyptian island that housed the “Lighthouse of Alexandria”, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
Kurama the Seedot
Seedots final Evolution, Shiftry, is inspired by the Tengus, a creature from Japanese folklore. The king of the Tengus, Sōjōbō, is said to live on Mount Kurama-yama.
Carmilla the Zubat.
Carmilla is a vampire from the eponymous 1872 Gothic novell, written by Sheridan Le Fanu. She predates Dracula and is the first prototype of the “Lesbian Vampire”.
