Day 4: Favorite ships and least favorite ships

I've been tired these last few days, for now I have this, I should have posted it yesterday.

okay i might get stabbed with pitchforks for this but HEAR ME OUT

IF (and only if) Sierra was written differently, Coderra could've worked.

For example, if she was just written as someone with a TD hyperfixation (WITHOUT the whole stalking/harassing Cody thing) then it could've worked.

Cody clearly has some kind of problem with self esteem and/or neglect (ex: "I was born to be humiliated," "My own mom and dad forgot my birthday," "Alejandro! Against just me!," " I never expected to make it this far, as if I could ever win," etc). And canon!Sierra absolutely did not help with that. He went from not being cared about to being instantly lovebombed and touched when he didn't want to be. Nobody is getting out of that without some kind of damage.

But imagine a different Sierra. One who went from being super excited to meet her favorite celebrity to an ACTUAL FRIEND. One who RESPECTS HIS PRIVACY AND DOESN'T GO THROUGH HIS STUFF, OR DRUG HIM WITH "LOVE POTION TEA," ONE WHO DOESN'T TRY TO "RESTORE HIS BREATHING" IN NIAGRA BRAWLS.

ONE WHO CODY ISN'T AFRAID OF, BECAUSE HE DOESN'T HAVE A REASON TO BE.

IMAGINE A SIERRA WHO HE BEFRIENDS OVER THE COURSE OF THE SEASON INSTEAD OF ONE HE GOES FROM BEING AFRAID OF TO SUDDENLY BEST FRIENDS WITH.

IMAGINE A SIERRA WHERE HER CHARACTER ARC IS LEARNING THAT CELEBRITIES AREN'T PERFECT. IMAGINE A SIERRA WHO GETS TO SHOW THE OTHERS SILLY INTERNET HUMOR. A SIERRA THAT WOULD MAKE CODERRA HEALTHY BECAUSE SHE WOULDN'T BE FORCING HERSELF ONTO CODY.

IMAGINE A HEALTHY AND BALANCED CODERRA. ONE WHERE SIERRA GETS TO MAKE CODY BIRTHDAY CAKES AND CODY WRITES SONGS ABOUT THE TWO OF THEM. ONE WHERE SIERRA GETS SAD ABOUT HER PHONE BREAKING, NOT BECAUSE SHE'S OBSESSED WITH CODY, BUT BECAUASE THEY ALWAYS TEXT EACHOTHER GOODNIGHT OR SOME CHEESEY SHIT LIKE THAT.

Duncan- do I even need to explain? Obv cheated on Courtney and was an overall dick to her after island and with Gwen he was always just trying to make court jealous 2/10 (the two points are for island Duncan and island Duncan only)

Cody- okok coderra is technically canon so leave me alone. Obv he was rightfully weirded out at first but he was actually really sweet with her towards the end of world tour 4.5/10

Geoff- ok like he’s good to Bridgette butttt gidgette is overall just dysfunctional and he did also say that Heather was the hottest girl on the show. Also they just made out all the time, not a lot to judge on 5/10

Owen- I’m sure he actually liked Izzy, but their whole relationship was kinda weird anyways, but they were fine 6/10

Alejandro- while making this I realized that every guy from this point forward treats their girls like literal queens, anyways he literally loves Heather and it’s so cute how he remembers every little detail about her 8/10

Trent- loved Gwen so much, was her biggest supporter, Gwen honestly fumbled bc he treated her better than Duncan ever could 8.5/10

Noah- was literally willing to give up the money for Emma, loved her sm, literally saved her life. He’s just so sweet to her and I wish that they were in more seasons together 9/10

Harold- ok I know Lesharold isn’t technically canon but whatever! He literally worships the ground she walks on, Barbie and Ken who bc I only know Leshawna and Harold. He’s just such a sweetheart 9.5/10

Tyler- holyyyy shit if you wanted an example of the perfect boyfriend then u better use him bc he was just so patient with Lindsay. He never got mad at her, he never gave up on her, he stayed by her side until she remembered him and then even when he was literally in a full body cast he was just so excited to see Lindsay again, I can’t he’s just perfect 10/10

What would Sierra be like if she was on Total Drama Island?

I've seen mention of a couple of fics and fan art of Alejandro on the original Total Drama Island but that made me wonder what Sierra would be like.

Because she couldn't be obsessed with Cody or any of the other cast members at this point. So in this scenario, she would be so incredibly different to what we know of her in World Tour and All-Stars.

Even just visually, her hair and pants would be different (her hair is based on the colour of Cody's bruises, and she wears the same pants Cody's mum wears). Black-haired Sierra, who wears pants similar to Chris's anyone?

She would probably still be advertised as the "obsessive fan," but this time, it would just be for Chris and Chris alone. She treats the rest of the cast members as human beings (though she is still very socially awkward about it).

Outside of her fandom side, she would probably be characterised as by her mutliple random talents and her addiction to the (early 2000's) internet. It would depend on what team she was on, but I would like to see her develop a friendship/understanding with Harold; two awkward nerds with a varied assortment of skills.

If Sierra was on the screaming Gophers, maybe Heather would add Sierra to her alliance. The reason for this could vary, like maybe she saw how Sierra's sucking up effected Chris, or Heather saw how desperate Sierra was for friends. If Sierra did join the girls aliance there's the possibility for her to have a friendship with Lindsay and Beth.

Now the big thing, would she start crushing on Cody again? And would it be any different to how she crushes on him in canon? This is hard to answer because we don't know what was it about Cody that drew Sierra in in the first place. She tends to describe him as more rugged and "manly" than he actually is, but also treats him like how a toxic small dog pet owner would smother said small dog. So perhaps how "Codierra" occurs would depend on one's interpretation of where Sierra's feelings came from.

Finally, if Sierra lasts a long time, I feel like her arc would be realising that Chris is a jerk and that it's not good to put these kinds of people on pedestals cuz even if you like their stuff that doesn't mean you know them. (Don't know if they would make this same message in 2007 or whenever, but anyway...) On the plus side, this might mean she would put more emphasis on the real people/relationships she has (camera pans to the friends she has made on the show).

Then it would be interesting to see that progress on Total Drama Action and World Tour (if she participates in them). Maybe a conflict in Action would be Sierra learning how to maintain these friendships she made, respecting boundaries, and figuring out what to do by herself if she is no longer obsessed with Chris. And who knows what this version of World Tour would be like since a big part of that season was how the "new" contestants shook things up.

So in short, this would be an interesting AU to see cuz it would give a chance to see what Sierra is like when she is NOT surrounded by the people she stalked for years. Would love to hear any thoughts!

I wanna analyze Coderra as pairing, and why its nothing wrong with shipping them.

(TW: Bad english grammar...)

Well, we know its one-sided love from Sierra's side. Cody seems annoyed by it, and most of time, he wanna get rid of her (Even voted for her). Hovewer, he seems to like her more after she remembered his birthday, and helped him in finale. Cody considrs her as friend, and we even can see him smiling, as Sierra hugs him in 4 season introdution.

Cody says what "he wished to have girfriend like this before, but now he realized thats not cool at all". He is annoyed by the fact she cant accept "No" as answer, but at same time, keep trying to flirt with Gwen, knowing what she doesn't like him. So basically, Sierra acts like himself.

So? Pairing could work, if Sierra would act just a LITTLE BIT less obsessive. Hovewer, I dont see anything bad in haters/shippers of it. Haters can be right, because not everyone likes yandere-stalking dynamics, but its nothing wrong with shipping it!

Ranking all canon gen 1 ships (including nemma and scottney bc of Noah and Courtney)

Gwuncan- ew, i feel like I don’t even have to explain it

Gidgette- honestly I’ve never liked it, they were cute in season one but after that they literally just made out all the time

Scottney- ugh they were fine, like they were kinda cute but also if they wanted to put Courtney with someone after Duncan cheated on her then it should’ve been with Trent bc she’s a petty queen

Gwent- ok they were good in season one but also they were kinda boring? Like idk I was never invested

Ozzy- they had their moments, I’ve grown to like Owen more and more which makes me like ozzy more, idk they’re pretty cute

Coderra- pls pls pls pls pls let me explain for a second 🙏 ok so ik ppl hate them but like….I just have this huge soft spot for crazy girls and idk something abt that one clip at the beginning of roti where she’s wearing his hat and he’s smiling at her is just so adorable and I can’t help but love them

Nemma- putting them as high as I possibly can bc I actually love them together. Idk they just work so well? And it was cute to see noah in love, idk why ppl hate them sm (well I do buttttt) they’re just the best, but sadly I physically can’t put them above the others

Lesharold- ok I’m like…actually a huge Lesharold shipper. They’re just too amazing to resist, like the dynamic? He’s a loser whos head over heals for her and she’s a baddie who he somehow pulled AND they’re in love? Holyyyy shit

Aleheather- words cannot express how much I love Aleheather. They simply are just enemies to lovers, dare I say they are the perfect example of that. Actually scratch that, they’re enemies who love each other, bc even when they started dating the enemy status never left, that’s why they’re this high up.

Duncney- I would like to start this out by saying that this is season 1 duncney. HOLY SHIT THEY ARE JUST THE BEST EVER. I am in love with their whole dynamic. They drive each other crazy, he brings out her wild side while she brings out his soft side. He has the biggest soft spot for her and he pisses her off to no end. Duncney is the most perfect thing on this planet and you cannot take that from my cold dead hands

Lyler- ok even though I’m obv a huge duncney fan I have to admit that lyler is actually my fav ship in the whole damn show. Like idk maybe it’s cause I just love both characters sm but something about them just makes me giggle and kick my feet, like every time I see lyler fan art I get this huge smile on my face bc they’re just so adorable, anyways best td ship, love them sm
