You said your thoughts on chapters 3+4 were mixed, in what way/what are the specifics?
honestly i think a lot of them have settled over time, and i realize a lot of them are very personal and subjective, so here's a small handful of them;
the old man. as much as i stick by what i said about him earlier, i don't think the game does quite enough legwork to distinguish him from feeling as though the game is saying "hey, wouldn't it be cool if you could spend time with gerson, the character you remember from the light world and from undertale?" there's still enough to make it clear that he's his own guy, between ralsei's confession that he's not the zombie-figure susie assumed he was and kris thinking of him like ralsei, but not quite enough to communicate it clearly. it's an interesting idea that doesn't quite stick the landing, with some occasionally strange execution, and i think a better means of executing something like this would be spamton neo, who takes that "hey, wouldn't it be cool if you could have a proper battle with mettaton's neo form?" and twists it up to become something both distinct from mettaton neo and strange, something centered moreso around spamton.
i've never been fond of the idea of a titan battle. i think i've come around to the execution of it in ch4 over time, but i've never been the biggest fan of a game so heavily tied to several integral storylines and characters ending with a giant "mindless" monster spawning in for us to fight. the reason i've come around is because rather than the titans being final bosses, it seems like they're under the command of the knight, and they'll likely be revealed as more than the "mindless" monsters they seem to be as we progress. the old man shows up to help out too, of course, and despite what i said above, he's characterful! still, the titan fight took a bit of the wind out of my personal sails, because while it was certainly out-of-this-world impressive on a presentation level alone, i didn't have the emotional investment in it that i did in spades king, queen, and tenna.
i know it's not about him and is more about kris and their "smart house (1999)" situation, but i am not the biggest fan of sans being a big chunk of ch4's cliffhanger. this is an incredibly personal hangup and i do not think it really matters that much in the grand scheme of things, but you have to understand that when you've seen sans be a driving force in almost everything anyone's made ever relating to undertale or deltarune since 2015, you want a little more variety in your diet.

is yoda team edward or jacob?
is anakin team edward or jacob?
:)
IM SO GLAD YOU ASKED. some people categorise blorbos in MBTIs or whatever i personally use twilight teams so I've had this list forever:
Luke: team they should all just kiss Leia: team Edward Han: team fell asleep half way through the first movie Chewie: only cares abt Charlie Artoo: team Jacob c3po: team 'this is preposterous' Lando: team gang bang
Obi wan: team Edward Anakin: team thinks there's nothing problematic abt either of these incredibly problematic men Padmé: she wants both of them. team Jacob if she had to pick Ahsoka: team Alice!!! wlw ftw Rex: team Alice or just likes Charlie Most the clones: have not yet seen twilight but will support their generals/commanders' teams
yoda: don't ask him bc he'll turn it into this whole jedi lesson mace windu & the grand majority of high ranking jedi: team independent bella quinlan: obvs team throuple
count dooku: team edward Palpatine: he doesn't deserve a twilight team ventress: team Bella should be by herself maul: whatever team Kenobi doesn't pick
Hera: team Jacob Kanan: team Edward Ezra: whatever answer is currently funniest Sabine: team Alice Zeb: team Edward. he likes problematic dickheads Chopper: team volturi tbh. was so disappointed w the ending of breaking dawn 2 thrawn: is deeply confused as to why Eli said he enjoyed these movies
cal: he never finished the movies bc he touched the dvd case and got a force echo spoiling the whole thing merrin: team Edward but would kill you if you told someone that cere: she refuses to answer that greez: relates to Charlie on a personal level

U23 Race Calendar: A Primer
“Watch U23 races!” I often tell you. “But user etapereine," you may think, "I don’t know which ones those are!”
Fret not! I, your friendly neighborhood little guy enthusiast, am here to guide you and help you make sense of wonderful world of U23 racing.
First Things First
The U23 category is, as the name suggests, an age-limited category in competitive road cycling, encompassing riders aged 18 to 22 (based on birth year). This category is sometimes referred to as espoirs (French) or beloften (Dutch). For the 2025 season, this category includes riders born between 2003 and 2006, inclusive.
These days, many of the top youth riders end up on WorldTeam or ProTeam development teams, in-house continental-level teams that usually share staff and other resources with the affiliated professional team. These development teams compete in a combination of U23-specific races (1.2U or 2.2U), as well as races other races on the UCI calendar at the .Pro level or below.
For that reason, this is by no means an exhaustive list - several teams have already been active in Tour du Rwanda and the Croatian races, among others. Dates are all 2025, but most races are run at roughly the same time every year.
The Biggest of the Big
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that not all cycling races are created equal. From juniors all the way up to elites, some races count more than others, and this first category is the cream of the crop. These are the mini Grand Tours, the baby Monuments: some officially so, some just in practice. If you're only going to watch one or two U23 races this season (or any season), these are probably the ones to shoot for.
13 April: Paris-Roubaix Espoirs (France). Raced the same day as the elite men, and last won by Tim Torn Teutenberg of Lidl - Trek Futures Racing.
19 April: LiĂšge - Bastogne - LiĂšge U23 (Belgium). Raced the week before the elite men, and last won by Joe Blackmore of Israel Premier Tech Academy.
15 June - 22 June: Giro d'Italia Next Gen (“Giro Next Gen,” they’re so pretentious. Shut up, it’s the Baby Giro.) (Italy). 8 stages and raced in trade teams. Last won by Jarno Widar of Lotto Dstny Development Team.
23 August - 30 August: Tour de l'Avenir (France). 8 stages and raced in national teams (for now); this is one of the last remaining vestiges of the Nations Cup series. Considered the U23 equivalent of the Tour de France. Last won by Joe Blackmore of Great Britain.
4 October: Il Lombardia Under 23 (“Lombardia Under 23,” they’re so pretentious. Shut up, it’s the Piccolo Lombardia.) (Italy). Last won by Brieuc Rolland of Equipe continentale Groupama-FDJ.
Classics, But Make Them Baby
Of course, it's not all about Monuments and Grand Tours. Just as the elites' spring classics season doesn't jump from Sanremo to Roubaix to Flanders with nothing in between, neither does it for the little guys. These range from "official" U23 versions of elite-level classics to 1.1 and 1.2-level races with a significant development team presence.
21 March: Youngster Coast Challenge (Belgium). Last won by Niklas Behrens of Lidl - Trek Futures Racing. Affiliated with and raced the same day as the Bredene Koksijde Classic.
1 May: Eschborn-Frankfurt U23 (Germany). Last won by Wessel Mouris of Metec - SOLARWATT. Raced the same day as the elite men.
3 May: FlĂšche Ardennaise (Belgium). Not U23-specific. Last won by Milan Donie of Lotto Dstny Development Team.
11 May: Gent Wevelgem / Kattekoers-Ieper (Belgium). U23 race of the elite race by the same name. Last won by Huub Artz of Wanty - ReUz - Technord.
12 October: Paris - Tours Espoirs (France). Last won by Antoine L'Hote of Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale Development Team. Raced the same day as the elite men.
The Littlest Biggest Stage
Not the biggest fan of one-day races? Just want to maximize your U23 race watching experience and go for multiple days? Stage races have you covered!
14 May - 18 May: Orlen Nations Grand Prix (Poland). 4 stages. Part of the Nations Cup series, and raced in national teams. Last won by Mathys Rondel of France.
21 May - 25 May: Ronde de l'Isard (France). 5 stages. Last won by Darren van Bekkum of Team Visma Lease a Bike Development.
28 May - 1 June: Alpes IsĂšre Tour (France). 5 stages; not U23 specific. Last won by Jarno Widar of Lotto Dstny Development Team.
29 May - 1 June: Course de la Paix Grand Prix JesenĂky (Czechia). 4 stages. Part of the Nations Cup series, and raced in national teams. Last won by Brieuc Rolland of France.
16 July - 20 July: Giro della Valle d'Aosta (Italy). 5 stages. Last won by Jarno Widar of Lotto Dstny Development Team.
4 September - 7 September: Giro della Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia (Italy). 4 stages; not U23 Specific. Last won by JĂžrgen Nordhagen of Team Visma Lease a Bike Development.
But Wait, There's More!
Like the elites, the U23 riders too have their chances at special jerseys at the World and European Championships. The rules regarding participation in the U23 races of these championships have seen some changes recently.
26 September: World Championships MU Road Race. Beginning in 2025, this race will be limited to U23 riders who are not under contract with a ProTeam or WorldTeam. Last won by Niklas Behrens of Germany. Time trial on 22 September.
4 October: European Championships MU Road Race. Last won by Huub Artz of the Netherlands. Time trial on 1 October.
But What About the Women?
Finally: you may have noticed that the races listed so far in this post are all men's U23 races. While steps are being made - multiple Womens WorldTeams now have affiliated continental teams - the U23/development structure on the women's side of the sport is certainly nowhere near as robust as on men's side. This also applies to the very sparse women's U23 race calendar.
In 2025, the women's U23 calendar consists of the following races:
17 August - 22 August: Tour de l'Avenir Femmes. Entering it's third year and raced in national teams (for now). Last won by Marion Bunel of France.
25 September: World Championships WU Road Race. For the first time ever, the U23 women will have their own race at the World Championships, after several years of a combined race with the elite women. The U23 portion of that combined race was last won by Puck Pieterse of the Netherlands. Time trial on 22 September.
3 October: European Championships WU Road Race. Last won by Sofie van Rooijen of the Netherlands. Time trial on 1 October.

some manga i've read
I have a LOT of manga in my room, so I thought it would be cool to tell you about some of them!
Tumblr media
Mr. Villain's Day Off
I first heard about this series when I saw its anime trailer on YouTube. Coincidentally, I found two books of the original manga in my local Barnes and Noble, so that's why I bought them! I like this series because it's a slice-of-life parody of the sentai genre, and I also appreciate the titular character's love of pandas! I even liked how each of the heroes had backstories.
Favorite Character: Mr. Villain
Tumblr media
X-Gender
This book was a great pick because it discusses queer topics in a respectful and informative manner. It is an autobiography about the author's experiences with their gender and sexuality, and if you're wondering what "x-gender" means, it's a Japanese term for being nonbinary.
Favorite Character: N/A
Tumblr media
Uramichi Oniisan
Oh my god. This series is HILARIOUS. All of the main characters have a dysfunctional, but harmonious dynamic when they work together on stage. Everything Uramichi does or says makes me cry and laugh at the same time.
Favorite Character: Uramichi Omota
Tumblr media
Heaven's Design Team
This is another series that makes me laugh, and I've seen clips of the anime before getting my hands on the manga. It reminds me of those "God creating animals" memes that were popular on Twitter back in the 2010's. It's peak edutainment, and each character has a very eccentric personality!
Favorite Characters: Venus and Yokota
Tumblr media
Kirby Manga Mania
I decided to give this one a try, because who doesn't love Kirby? The art style is bubbly and bright, and the humor goes off the walls! I find it weird how Kirby talks normally instead of going "poyo poyo" all the time.
Favorite Characters: Kirby and King Dedede
Tumblr media
Precarious Woman Executive Miss Black General
Yeezus, that's a long title. I picked this one out because I thought the art style looked cool. It's a story about a villainess with a crush on Totally-Not-Batman. I enjoyed the slapstick and the amazing character design.
Favorite Character: N/A
Tumblr media
Cells at Work!
Here's another edutainment anime. The depictions of each microorganism are really cool, and I liked the scenes where the cells had to fight off against nasty viruses! It even does a good job at explaining how the body works by providing bits and bobs of information throughout the panels.
Favorite Character: N/A
Tumblr media
Little Miss P
I've never seen a manga that talks about periods before, and I'm glad it exists. This book is relatable because I hate it when my period arrives, but I understand getting your period is normal. I'm quite fond of the messy art style, too.
Favorite Characters: N/A
Tumblr media
Merman in My Tub
I remember cheerily reblogging and liking posts about it last year, and I still love it to this day! All of the characters have vibrant personalities, and I really like the designs of each merman. This series is light-hearted and goofy, so that's why I think it's awesome.
Favorite Characters: Agari and Echizen
I'm gonna make two more parts later on. The second one will be about cats, and the third one will be about horror.

The Chesterton Challenge has made the Inklings Challenge much less intimidating. You're telling me I have three whole weeks to write one story? Luxury!
Since I have this experience, and since most of my Inklings Challenge stories are written in the last three days before the deadline, my hope is to write a story within the first three days of the Challenge (or as near to it as possible), and then spend the rest of my time revising. You know, the way that people are supposed to write stories.

okay so fun fact about me: I like to sort things, I like to methodically go through lists things like that. I also love pokemon, and enjoy going down through every pokemon and assigning them to people- friends, coworkers, fictional characters ect. I knew this about myself. But what I did not know is that the urge to make 'fun little themed teams' can completely take over my body like I'm being possessed and I ended up spending hours today doing so.
And thus:

Multi-stage operation! Once you clear one organ, it's on to the next! Also, a multi-stage tumor; laser it first, then you can extract it.
I also accidentally showed off a bit of the scalpel tool; the tool itself is complete, now I just need to make something that reacts to it.
