@countthelions (tumblr ate this when I tried to save my answer as a draft, so we improvise 🙃)
Tumblr media
This one? :D
This whole stream was delightful. What a way to return 🤗
Tango was so happy energetic.
And from Tango calling Etho's storage system cute and Etho in gamechat going "CUTE?!" (00:41:07). To the razzing (and laughing) over shops (00:49:00 and 01:03:49). Etho taking Tango's head twice, and it all being so playful (00:58:11). Etho using Tango's catchphrases 🥹🥹🥹 It gets me every time! "porkchop power" "flee with extra flee!" And the way he said it was the cutest, and Tango's giggle about it too (01:00:59). Etho offering to give the tour Tango wanted. More mail talk and laughing guilt and planning and razzing and teaching Etho to do the stamps. Tango complimenting the path (and that Etho showed it to him when he first came back when Etho came to say hi) (01:15:41). They still plan on doing their sand-collection-off (01:35:06).
And of course the whole TNTificating with Etho's new "boom boom tech" (01:39:43--02:15:17) was just…the most fun. They are having the most fun together...it's an absolute joy. (And it's also them collaborating on how to figure out a redstone thing together which is just so satisfying.) Just...TOO MANY (!!!) (so many) fun moments in that whole TNT section that I can't even start on highlighting them all 😭 I'd need another mammoth paragraph...
Honestly??? Still smiling. Great great great stream 🥹
Timestamps are for YouTube not Twitch because Tango was so fast on getting the VOD up lmao

Why I love Yellow(and you should too!)
Everytime I ask who's everyone's least favorite member of the color gang, Yellow is always brought up. In fact, Yellow ranked the lowest of the color gang on a recent poll. So, I'm here to fix this, and explain why I love Yellow so much! (warning: very ramble-y)
1st - He's a silly boy
This is the most important part of any ava character. The silliness. Despite seeming the most serious, Yellow is actually a silly little guy. For example, he sleeps with his staff from king orange, which is just ridiculous and very silly. He is a little nerd and gets excited over cool tech, like when he was KO's staff for the first time and when he discovered minecarts. He's also about as skilled as Red when it comes to building(with the exception of redstone stuff) and creates cute little builds like Red(why does red get all the attention for that??). He's actually a lot like Red, because he also really likes to prank and trick people, as he's done a few times, especially with Red. There are a lot more silly things he's done, but I don't have time to explain them all!
2nd - He's got cool interests
Like we all know, Yellow's a little nerd boy. He loves computers, coding, redstone, and engineering, but also video games, explosives, and drums. He's the person who likes music the most besides Green, and is a really skilled drummer. As a drummer myself, I appreciate this little detail about him!
Like I said, he also likes explosives. Especially in the early days of avm, he tended to use TNT as a weapon of choice, which is epic.
He loves video games, and that should be relatable to most people. I mean, I love video games, and I'm sure you do too? He's also really good at them, and it's so silly when he has to show Green and Red how to play the games that they keep losing at.
3rd - He has flaws
Yellow is ambitious and curious, which can be good things, but it has led his friends into trouble a few times. For example, he threw all reasoning out the window when he saw KO's staff for the first time, and led himself and Blue to the nether to get captured by King.
Yellow is can also be impatient, especially with Red's immature antics, and sometimes is immature himself as well.
All of these flaws create a complex character!
4th - personality!
He's silly, curious, adventurous, smart, mischievous, ambitious, caring, and very skilled in a lot of things(combat, computers, redstone)!
Overall, I love Yellow, but I doubt I convinced anyone to love him as well because this post is not well-written or anything, it's just my pure thoughts! At least you can respect him a little more, because my dude does not deserve to be 10th most popular stick(that's not a good placement when you remember there aren't a lot of characters...)
JUSTICE FOR YELLOW!!!!!

🎥 National Treasure (2004)
🍿 4.5/5 Popcorn Buckets | 🗺️ History Buff Chaos | 🧭 Founding Father Fanfiction> Half a bucket off because now I can’t go to a museum without wondering if there’s a secret staircase to buried treasure.
“I’m going to steal the Declaration of Independence.”Sir, what?
Tumblr media
⚠️ Spoilers Ahead! But this one lives rent-free in our brains anyway. And I'm sure you've seen it at least twice on TNT.
National Treasure is what happens when you give a hyper-intelligent, morally flexible history nerd unlimited coffee, access to the National Archives, and Nicolas Cage’s entire range of intense eyebrow acting. It’s over-the-top, historically unhinged, and weirdly inspiring.
🧨 The Plot: Ben Gates (Nicolas Cage) is a man on a mission—because apparently, every bedtime story your grandpa told you about the Founding Fathers hiding secret treasure under America is completely factual. When the feds, the museums, and everyone with common sense says “don’t,” Ben says “I’m stealing it anyway.” And so begins the greatest history-themed crime caper of all time.
Cue heists, hidden codes, secret Freemason tunnels, and a lot of people dramatically reading parchment.
🔍 Notes From My Unhinged Brain:
Was the frozen corpse on the frozen ship necessary? Probably. But also… jump scare.
Ben cuts his hand for invisible ink and doesn’t flinch. Sir, when I get a paper cut, I cry and need Neosporin and three days off. What is your pain tolerance?!
Riley is logical. I like Riley. He’s a sarcastic tech nerd and says what we’re all thinking. Underappreciated king.
Ben is hella smart though. I may roast, but credit where it’s due—his brain is like a walking AP U.S. History textbook.
According to the Declaration, we can overthrow the government if needed. So who’s bringing snacks and who's driving? I call aux.
They’re underground in a dusty, ancient tunnel and somehow only Ben gets dirty. Movie logic, baby.
The guy at the end when Ben pops out of the tunnel is all “AHH!”, but with facial expressions. And same, my dude. Same. I too would scream if Nic Cage emerged from the wall like a sweaty colonial ghost.
Riley driving across Ben’s pristine lawn? Rude. But also, somehow… on brand.
SEAN BEAN LIVES. For once. He’s still the villain, sure, but a living villain. And unfairly attractive. Do with that what you will.
🧭 Cast of Unhinged History Enthusiasts:
Ben Gates (Nicolas Cage): National artifact thief with a heart of gold and vibes of an intense trivia team captain.
Riley Poole (Justin Bartha): Comic relief and voice of reason. Deserved more credit and way more chill.
Abigail Chase (Deane Kruger): Museum director turned ride-or-die co-conspirator. We love a girl who can flirt and forge a declaration theft.
Ian Howe (Sean Bean): Charmingly evil. Hot and wrong. A villain we low-key want to know our number.
💎 Best Scenes to Etch in History:
“I’m going to steal the Declaration of Independence.”—Cage delivers it with Shakespearean seriousness.
The gala heist where everyone is panicking in tuxedos.
Abigail casually handing over the Declaration like it’s a 20% return at Target.
That underground treasure room reveal that screams “this will collapse in 5 seconds” and “worth it.”
😤 Minor Gripes:
Abigail’s assistant? Gone. Vanished. Hope she’s doing okay.
The romance subplot? Exists. That’s all.
The FBI arrives just in time to miss everything, per usual. But we’re not here for logic—we’re here for Nic Cage running through history and looking determined.
🎯 Final Thoughts:
National Treasure is a patriotic fever dream, where every conspiracy theory your uncle ranted about at Thanksgiving turns out to be real. It’s bold, it’s ridiculous, and it’s FUN. Nicolas Cage is perfectly unhinged, Riley is our collective inner monologue, and yes, we all Googled whether there’s actually a map on the back of the Declaration.

I watched the Ronen interview and am sharing some things that Ronen talked about and I encourage people to watch this interview! It was so good and had fantastic questions and answers!
Ronen talking about "Enzo being TK's father figure for most of his young life and that dynamic, compared to TK and Owen is very different. And I think it makes for an incredible love hate triangle between Enzo, Owen and TK."
And then he talks about the Jonah actor and how he thinks he is the cutest kid ever, and how he bonded with him and made him feel comfortable and by the end of it they were inseparable and he didn't want Ronen to let go of him when he held him 😭
He talks about the Owen and TK dynamic during the Enzo episodes and them coming back together this season is one of the most special things he and Rob did. We're getting TK backstory and him getting some things off his chest and letting Owen know! 😭Awww and TK will be there for Owen as a shoulder to lean on while dealing with the Robert aftermath!
Ronen appreciates how paramedic heavy this season has been, and seeing TNT, Brianna, Gina and himself get to shine more! They run like a well oiled machine. Even their paramedic tech who is on set told them, "This is your greatest season as paramedics." We really locked into being badass paramedics.
Once again, talking about the end of Season 5 and how there is still so much story to tell, and there are so many other characters that are not as developed. "Luckily most of the cast lives in LA, and we still see each other and talk everyday, so that's really nice, but I think I'm more sad for the fans who have connected so much with these characters... That's kind of the thing that hurts me the most is to see these characters go for the fans because I know how passionate and how dedicated the fans are to the show, so I feel for them more than anything."
Of course Tarlos will get their happily ever after! Ronen's going to miss TK and thinks he's the most special person he's ever played. "As a human being he's genuinely good, selfless, vulnerable, layered, very aware that he's not perfect but wants to better himself and be a great son, husband friend...he's a very admirable character and playing him is such a treat and TK feels like the big brother you wish you had...He would truly sacrifice himself in order to help someone else. He's a genuinely good person and it's been the greatest treat of my career to play him and I'm going to miss and cherish him..."
Ronen talking about 5x05 and what is to come in Season 5

Altador Cup Lore Preservation Post
Ah, Altador Cup lore; there is a lot of it, it is messy and most egregiously - its preservation is in a less than a stellar state. For TNT it's hardly been a priority and as a result it has been up to us fans to try to keep whatever information we can. This post will be a collection of my contributions towards this effort.
I'm hardly tech savvy, just a single woman armed with the wayback machine, the printscreen button and stubbornness. In an ideal world I would be able to give you every press-release and blurb for every team from AC 1 til now (AC: the grey year as of time of writing), but with my current tools and leads that sadly is not the case and for that I can only apologise. Below will be a collection of links to other posts I have made in my effort to catalogue all this information. Consider this a master post of sorts (the teams being ordered numerically rather than alphabetically), but firstly; time to clarify some terminology. What is a blurb? A team blurb is the written description of the team that you would get upon clicking their icon on the sign-up page. These have existed since the very first Altador Cup.
What is a press-release? Press-releases are short pieces of writing that they started doing in the lead-up to AC 6. These are often done in the style of a reporter writing an article or doing an interveiw of a team player and so forth. These are done before the Altador cup itself starts and is thusly different from the blurbs.
What is a "sunnyneo blurb"? To put it simply; telling the difference from blurb and press-release can be difficult. Even more so when my main source of post-AC 6 information - the Neopets fansite Sunnyneo - also fails to differentiate the two. When I label something as a "sunnyneo blurb" its basically me saying "I cannot tell which category this one falls under"
What is Pinkpt? Pinkpt is an old neopets wiki that is - as of time of writing - currently unavailable. I started collecting these as they were the only way to read some AC 1 info. While I eventually managed to recover all AC 1 blurbs and player info I still find these to be valuable if only for comparisons sake. Side note: since many of these are old they may not be up to date when it comes to things like player transfers. For the sake of visual cohesion I will be keeping players of the same uniform together even if that player currently plays for another team (i.e Timu's page will be under AL even though she currently plays for SK) These are the instances where I have been unable to recover neither blurb nor press-release and thusly those years will not be shown in their respective posts. The missing info is: KI 4, KD 4, LD 15, RI 4 and TY 18.
Be it the lore enthusiasts, the fanfic researchers or just the plain old curious - may this information serve useful to whomever may need it for whatever reason.
(Please check the pinned post on my blog for part 2 that includes the last 3 teams + some bonus AC 1 info)

Some broader thoughts about Minecraft:
First, some nice things:
Increasing the world height and adding bigger, deeper caves was an unqualified benefit to the game. Finally we deliver on the promise of 'Cave Game Tech Test'!
I am so happy that bundles, saddles and leads are all getting easy crafting recipes. These are utility items every early game player craves! They shouldn't be locked behind something so esoteric as killing slimes, or farming rabbits, or dungeroneering.
The addition of an offhand slot in 1.9, which I was soooo opposed to at the time, was to the game's benefit. Such a great change.
I really like the 1.13 fish mobs!
More fantastical biomes will always be good for the game. Realism is not what I come to MC for, I come for the beautiful cubic vistas I can shape and build in.
Second, some critical thoughts:
Post-1.0 updates have mostly felt like Mojang thinks the game is done, and just needs to be polished. I disagree. I think that release came too soon -- before they'd sanded all the hard edges down and really came up with a coherent identity -- and over the last ~fourteen years we've gone from a rough game with a lot of sharp edges to a very shiny game with a lot of sharp edges.
Everybody loooooooves that Soren Johnson quote that "given the opportunity, players will optimize the fun out of a game" but I think they often forget/ignore the corollary -- from Sid Meier -- that "one of the responsibilities of designers is to protect the player from themselves". Players optimizing the fun out of a game is a failure of game design, not player psychology. Nobody ever made Tetris unfun for themselves! (Well, not in any large numbers, anyway.)
There are three primary interactions one has with Minecraft: Extraction, Construction, and Combat. Of these three, I think it'd be hard to argue that the first two aren't the "core appeal" of the game. Those are the sandbox parts!
There are overlaps between these of course. Digging a trench is both extraction and construction, and killing monsters for their loot is combat and extraction; but, as I've already said, there aren't that many actions which are both construction and combat. Pillaring, I guess.
Beds are insanely overpowered. They skip night, making them the ultimate construction and allowing you to bypass Overworld surface combat entirely; they're the cheapest explosive in the Nether and End by a mile, making them the best means of mining ancient debris (the endgame ore) and one of the best tools for combating the Ender Dragon; and if you don't use them Mojang will send a squad of attack drones to kill your ass. My fix is to: 1) keep beds, but remove all functionality besides setting your spawn point 2) add a new end-game item, maybe in the outer End, that allows players to skip the night at the cost of some resource 3) replace exploding beds with a simple message that you can't sleep there, like "monsters nearby". Respawn anchors are fine, I have no beef with them. (A little useless, maybe, but I digress.)
When's the last time you used TNT in survival mode? I think it is to the game's detriment that there are continuous-need resources locked behind combat/extraction, like sulphur. I propose two potential solutions: 1) make "mob farm" literal and let me breed creepers/spiders/other non-humanoid mobs or 2) make sulphur and similar resources something you can mine, like string. Sulphur already occurs underground in the real world! Now we're putting less gameplay pressure on MC's weak, slow, boring combat system and more onto the interesting parts -- building and mining, respectively. (These aren't mutually exclusive either, we could do both!)
Here's another problem with TNT: sand is a pain in the butt to get. There are two reasons for this: the first is that 90% of it occurs on the surface, meaning that to get large quantities of it you have to destroy your surrounding environment. The second is that you need so goddamned much of it! This is fine for glass, because you rarely need much and can generally dig up ten or so blocks from a nearby beach, but nobody wants to walk to a desert to get four stacks of sand for a stack of TNT! My proposal is to replace sand in the crafting recipe with clay balls. Now players want to seek out lush caves, they need to break fewer blocks, and it can all happen underground!
Racist implications aside, Villages and Villagers have always been one of the least interesting parts of the game. That so many recent updates and spinoff materials have been focused on pushing players into them is to the game's detriment, I think. I don't care about Pillagers, I don't care about Illagers, I barely care about Witches. I don't care about raids and I don't want to defend these assholes from shit. I preferred when I was the only intelligent life in the universe, thank you very much. Piglins are...better, they feel more Minecraft-ey...but again I preferred when I was the only intelligent life in the universe, and further when the Nether was an exclusively hostile environment. Wandering traders are okay, if only 'cause they're so rare, but I still would rather they weren't comical ugly greedy big-nosed subhumans dependent on golems for protection. That was a bad move.
Hunger is a terrible system. Many people have gone in depth into just how badly Beta 1.8 fucked the game, so I'll keep this short: by adding hunger: passive mobs became persistent in order to facilitate farming; sprinting was introduced to provide a mechanical interaction between hunger and the rest of the game, which makes combat infinitely easier since you can outrun almost everything; it destroys the food resource economy by requiring players to eat continuously and in far greater than numbers than before; and it wrecks the previous balance between health and restoration and inventory slots available, because if food didn't become stackable it'd be impossible to carry enough.
This one's a little more subjective: there has been a near-exponential increase in the number of blocks and the number of non-full-block blocks (candles, banners, stoncutters, slabs, walls, fences, lanterns, chains, etc. etc. etc.) in the game since the Microsoft acquisition. It's easy to see this as a good thing looking at it from this side of the inflection point -- where it only means more fidelity and more freedom for high-level builders -- but my feelings are mixed. What is this, Blockland (2007)? The game has lost a strong, if low-fidelity visual identity in favor of a widening the gap between the ugliest and prettiest buildings. You have to pick a color palette now; unlike in, say, Beta 1.7, where every block fit into the same palette. If you wanna be good, you gotta learn to break up the shape your builds, rather than lean into the game's cubic nature. That's not per se bad, but I preferred the stronger visual identity.
I would like to have more things to put in my house beyond decoration. Enchantment tables, for example, were a great addition because they take up so much space. I want there to be benefits to building big houses! More crafting equipment! More workstations! Give me kinds of rooms to build!
Leather armor is a fucking joke with post-1.0 spawning rules. Nobody makes it, it's more tedious to acquire than iron (despite being worse), and it looks like crap. Making it dye-able was a good start, but I think ultimately it should either stop pretending to be armor in the first place, or it should be easier to get, like when it was made out of wool (and wool could be obtained by punching a sheep a single time).
Mining for ancient debris is such an insane chore that you'd think I was joking if I proposed it in 2019. The fun part of mining is the spelunking, not the holding click. So why is ancient debris only found at the ONLY level without caves IN THE CAVE DIMENSION? Quartz and Nether gold are fun to mine. Why can't ancient debris be fun to mine?
Furnace minecarts are pointless and everybody knows it.
Chest minecarts are pointless -- outside that one exploit where they can be stacked on a single rail -- and everybody knows it.
Nobody gives a shit about filler mobs like polar bears.
The Ender Dragon looks and moves like nothing else in the game. Is this a good thing? Maybe. It's very uncanny, very alien. Depends on your perspective on the game's artstyle, I guess.
Mining Fatigue is a baffling debuff and it makes ocean monuments a pain in the ass to loot. Nobody likes Minecraft's PvE combat, nobody likes Minecraft's underwater physics, and everyone dreads the ocean monument. Stupid fucking sniper fish.
I think it says something about the current creative direction that the number of songs in the soundtrack has doubled since the 2013 music update. The game that 'Key' was composed for is gone. Not A Value Judgement! That's what all the other list entries are for. Music just resonates differently when a game plays different. And the game plays different.
