Weiss' smile breaks out wider as Winter agreed to spending time with her, feeling proud of how she's accomplished getting her sister to agree to such a thing. She was more than ready to pull out all the stops if it meant getting her sister to agree... including, but not limited to, a little begging and possibly groveling.

Only for Winter, though, and only for a good cause.

She's quick to return the hug, eyes closing to savour the warmth of her sister's embrace. It's brief, however, as she's too excited to get going about the day. The first step is getting her sister out of her military outfit.

"Okay... Do you have anything casual to wear?" The fact that she has to ask is almost comical; she knows how much of a workaholic Winter is, and is quick to question whether her sister has anything other than her military outfit to wear. "If not, we're going to have to fix that." Perhaps that would have to be their first stop for shopping: new clothes. Either way, her sister was absolutely getting a new outfit, but whether she had something to wear already was the real question here. Weiss herself was already dressed for a day out: a plain black pleated skirt with a blue long-sleeved turtleneck sweater, matched with full black leggings and white knee-high wedge boots, ready to match with a long white peacoat, black gloves, and a bright red scarf.

She rolls her eyes dramatically, crossing her arms and giving Winter a look that says, ‘really?’ Winter ought to have known by now that there was no way she was going to let her sister do everyday things on her birthday, nor was there any way she was going to let her just forget the day, either.

“And let my sister miss a day where she gets to do all of the fun things she’s ignoring half of the time.” She wagged a finger at the taller woman, planting both hands on her hips with a smile.

“It doesn’t have to be big. Just the two of us. But I was thinking a little shopping, a nice lunch, maybe a movie if we’re feeling really ambitious.” She was thoughtful for a moment. “Or some kind of other activity. Whatever we find that seems interesting.” She knew Winter wouldn’t want to do something extravagant, but at least something to take a day off and take her mind off things.

“And no work. None whatsoever. This is a day to relax and have a little fun.” She’s practically bouncing with excitement, like an excited child.

Winter almost laughs at Weiss’ reaction to her words. Almost. She can’t help it, it’s just so amusing to see her sister reacting in such a way. Surely she knows that Winter’s behaviour is nothing new, especially when her birthday rolls around. She doesn’t exactly make it a secret that she doesn’t like her birthday, and why should she? She’s never had the chance to really enjoy it while growing up under Jacques’ thumb, and upon enrolling in Atlas Academy, and then joining the military upon graduation, she just doesn’t see a point in celebrating it, or even trying to do so.

But she also can’t say no to her little sister. It’s a real problem, refusing anything her younger siblings ask of her. To the point where she literally cannot do it even if she tries.

Weiss’ words actually sound pretty nice, if she’s being honest. Shopping, lunch, and a movie? No work is an issue but she suspects Weiss will keep her distracted enough that it likely won’t be a huge deal.

“Fine.” She says, exaggerating her sigh as much as possible, but makes sure it’s clear to Weiss that she’s only joking. “This had better be one amazing day, though.” She says as she draws Weiss close to her in a hug.
