Handwriting Headcanons

Inspired by a comment from Statue. We haven't had a Terrafell headcanon post for a while, so here's a new one!

Morwen: has almost picture-perfect copperplate cursive for Fancy Occasions and then legible but somewhat scrawling printing for everyday applications. Will also take notes in Tolkien's Tengwar or the Younger Futhark if she's bored enough.

Gavrel: nobody except him needs to read his printing, so it's pretty messy, but it's legible with a bit of practice. I don't think he'd learn cursive just for the sake of it, but he might know for diplomatic reasons.

A.T.: gorgeous cursive for all occasions regardless of formality.

Atticus: A.T. tried to teach him cursive, but his thoughts often outrun his fingers, leaving him with an illegible, albeit elegant, scribble. A.T. can decipher it. Nobody else can.

Furniture Man: he probably learned cursive to keep up with modern writing trends, but I suspect that his natural handwriting, which he first learned, is something closer to medieval court hand (see https://chaucer.fas.harvard.edu/types-script). Possibly even book hand, depending on how formal he's being.

Doc: the infamous Doctor Scribble TM.

Nik: he does enough paperwork to have pretty neat cursive and printing alike, but this is partly against his will and he would prefer to have the luxury of scribbly handwriting.

Kaera: spiky handwriting to match her spiky personality.

Hey there hope you’re doing well just wondering what kind of jobs do you think the characters of hellsing have in a normal life?

Ayoo here's a collection of silly ideas from the Hellsing Discord mostly (and some scraps of my last braincells):

Alucard teaches history and is obsessed with wars specifically. Infodumps about brutal facts a concerningly amount.

Anderson would be either a librarian, a kindergarden teacher every parent feels mildly intimidated by (but the kids love him very much), or a theology professor.

Seras would be a personal trainer or a bodyguard that always gets underestemated until she kicks their butt.

Integra was supposed to inherit her father's business but became a lawyer that specializes in enforcing human rights.

Walter is an undercover agent that works as a butler to unveil Arthur's massive tax fraud.

Pip is a temp worker that's talented with everything but still can't keep a job for two weeks straight because of his attitude.

Maxwell becomes one of those redpill influencers that sells bullshit to his naive followers and makes thirst edits of himself.

Heinkel gives classes for material arts or sports.

Yumie would be a school counselor or a nurse with an open ear for everyone.

Jan and Luke own the club they had in Hellsing Gonzo. Jan ends up in prison often but his brother somehow always bails him out.

The Captain is an ex-soldier with a lot of confirmed kills. Retires to become a dog-walker or work in an animal shelter.

The Major would either be an evil CEO or the leader of a cult-like commune that claims they don't fit into today's society (definetly commits felonies either way).

The Doc would be a chef, a fashion designer, or one of those surgeons with questionable PHD that offers body modification operations in his basement.

Rip writes dark romance novels that sell surprisingly well with the booktok girlies (we all know her Tumblr would be fire).

Zorin is a tattoo artist with a side business on etsy (she scams people by selling fake magic stuff).

Dandy has no job, he literally scams people with gambling and card tricks.

HERE WE GO!! A proper reference sheet for my grumpy old man!

The doctor was very happy to follow Fisher Tiger and would have followed him to the end of the world. When Jimbe took over, he stayed because of the good relation he has with Aladin. But when the deal with the government was struck, he knew he had to leave. Although he had intended to go back to the island, he followed Arlong, wanting to make sure no fishmen would ever be left in pain. After years in captivity, he can't deny he likes seeing humans grovel under fishmen. He wouldn't hurt them though... not too much.

Nami and Biri have a bit of a special place for him, with Nami being just a kid and Biri actively saving him some very disagreeable trips to get medical supplies.

(posting that second one again because it's just too funny) (I've said it already but a part of his vibe was solidified by @fanaticsnail 's Hey Doc series!)

Have a super sketchy WIP of my party, based on the height comparison chart that so amused us all! From left to right, we have Doc (barely visible), Furniture Man (shadow cloak!), Gavrel, Morwen, Atticus, and Smol & Angry. At some point my goal is to have each of their outfits visible and possibly even some rough facial features. We'll see how far my art skills take me.

To everyone who's used to not seeing Terrafell on this blog, apologies; my Terrafell sideblog got marked as spam, so original posts may be on this blog for a while. I'll try and keep the long reblog chains for the sideblog, to spare your dashes.

Terrafell headcanons: Can He Use A Computer edition.

Gavrel: Yes. He’s quite good at it, being from our world and also a gamer.

Atticus: No. He’s much too busy taking it apart and trying to figure out what kind of magic powers it to actually learn how to use it. Can he put it back together? Probably. Will it function as intended after he does? Unclear. Will it do something? Most certainly.

Furniture Man: Sort of. With sufficient instruction I think he could master the technical aspects, at least enough to log on and use a browser, but he’s fundamentally confused by the purpose of this strange device. He might comprehend e-mail but I think that’s as far as he’d get.

The Doc: As soon as he found out that you could research medical knowledge from our world using one, he’d get someone to teach him how to use a browser and then spend the next eight hours reading every freely available medical journal or periodical he could get his hands on in equal parts fascination and outrage (because they heal people WITHOUT MAGIC here and that’s amazing but also why didn’t you just. Grow that person a new kidney instead of inventing dialysis).

Nik: No. He is vaguely intrigued by the concept but he doesn’t care enough to learn. He’d rather be sailing.

Hi ! He’s not to far off yes but with more of the old grumpy guy that should be retired but can’t 😊 he secretly has a big heart, but it’s reserved for a selected few!

You might be able to see a little more of him very soon ;) (plus I’m working on his character ref sheet for another ask!)

Are there other servers to join for fandom related stuff? They all seem to be locked down and I guess I now know why. I was a part of EO for a while, but left as a result of this. All of this is horrible coming from Snowy and their friends. I just wanted to view artwork and instead found a situation that felt evil to be a part of silently. They refuse to even address it out of fear of harming themselves, which says everything

Anon, this hurts my heart to read and I am so sorry you are in limbo right now. I hope in there you were able to foster positive relationships with some people. I can't say I know any myself, the only two that I am in are locked down and I have heard that there are others but I don't know what they are at all, I don't get reached out to about any myself. I hope that this all passes and people can begin to move on and feel safe again.

I do suggest remaining in the Pathea discord and keep vibing with people and you never know. It's important that we all look out for ourselves but also not shy away from all the possibilities that these games and artists that have done much to inspire joy for the things we love.
